a thing that really shook me reading was Gideon telling nico about the chefs that work in the society, like technically the house having private chefs is a no brainer considering no one was cooking but it was something that genuinely made me stop

the loneliness the isolation of the six of them inside the house in the first book was such a big important theme that having Gideon going "wait you really didn't realize you weren't actually that cut off the world" made me realize how little us the readers and the characters actually know about the society

Nico musing about what altlas ACTUAL duties are is so- god

thinking about how much trauma and distress the six chosen go through during their stay at the house just to also known that for all the pain and cruelty that happens inside the house the society is just a normal 9-5 to most of the other workers is insane????

I'm probably leaning too deeply into it may be something that won't be even mentioned again but really it's such a fuck up thing to think about

After that line in TAC, I can just imagine Tristan and Callum heaving bags of money up the stairs into Tristan's bedroom in the mansion, arranging piles of it into neat stacks, and then just going to sleep because who the fuck has the power to have sex after running around and doing so much heavy lifting

listen the more i read the more i just feel like nico and libby shouldn’t be romantically involved (not that i’d be mad if they WERE) but to me the way things are falling are good. like to me they don’t really seem to be set up that way but i’m also increasingly concerned about the nico/gideon situation simply because i’m suspicious about anything that happens too early like there is no way we just get them being happy and together in the atlas complex so i feel like a disruption is imminent (which i guess honestly COULD be libby if olivie wants to go that route?) but also i feel like libby and tristan have been set up so well but also tristan and callum clearly have homoerotic feelings for each other and also there is parisa who has gotten around to almost all of them and i really just don’t know what’s happening anymore

atlas complex spoilers!!

everytime someone says callum is dead AN ANGEL DIES

olivie blake didnt write "a glimpse of platinum blonde winked before the lens" for yall to say he's dead ; callum literally has a scene of him fucking with the cctv in the beginning of the book. olivie blake didnt add this scene 'just because' — she wants the readers to understand this ability of his + recognise its recurrence

PLUS in the last tristan pov, the first scenario, where callum dies, it says END SCENARIO 1 ; but when the last scenario ends (which we can say is kind of our current timeline ) ; it says scenario SCENARIO 1A-426.02. ; suggesting it was same/similar and then something was altered

tristan literally fixes callums illusions ; the way callum likes it.

tristan calls callum "callums dead body/body" in SCENARIO 1 but in the SCNENARIO 1A-426.02 ; its just callum — callum being permanently dead in the first one but tristan choosing another timeline, where's he's alive, is just so clear

(the fact that this also suggests novacaine happy ending in so many other alternate universes makes my heart happy❤️‍🩹)
