what i love most about icdiwabh is probably how it captures the celebrity experience so well. like yes she wrote it about this specific time in her life where every show was consistently hard to do but i can’t imagine how many times she’s been in similar situations throughout her career. whether she was sick or just got bad news or waiting for a call from the doctor or just got her heartbroken or simply feels really tired and not up to performing she has learned to get on that stage every time and never falter. and for as sad as that is, the song’s upbeat production and confident outro also reveal how celebratory that can be at the same time because she’s proud of how she handles these things. it’s what makes her so good and it’s very quintessentially Pop Star in the way that we all love to romanticize (maybe glamorize is the better word?) and i’m still in awe at the way she captured this experience into a song

#also side note i love how the counting is clearly reminiscent of rehearsals / ear piece audio but at the same time is also what we kind of #do in our heads to brace ourselves for hard things #so many little details in this song go into making it the masterpiece that it is #mine #taylor swift

personally for as much as i love it as a song i think it would be sinister for taylor to add “i can do it with a broken heart” to the setlist

#and also weirdly sort of meta?#like don’t mistake me i genuinely think it’s one of the best pop songs she has EVER put out #but people are already being weird about that song and sharing invasive takes and rewriting history #i just think if she added it to the setlist it would be so micro-analyzed #mine #taylor swift #anyway if she did this i would have to face the growth she’s made head on and that is evil

it’s not funny anymore. i need xander and spencer’s book

#like it’s serious.#how did they become my vacation couple?!#like i’m on vacation imagining what fictional characters would be doing in this scenario AND THEY ARE MY BRAIN’S GO TO?!#i can’t remember the last time i was this invested in a couple before their book even came out #mine #like us series #i guess technically not? but i don’t have anything else to call it rn #and also i can’t remember if i ever brought this up here but it seems obvious that we’re getting easton / vada and im here for it?#like we don’t know super much about either of them but i obviously like easton due to his friendship with xander #and vada is gillow’s child which automatically qualifies her for national treasure status #and i think it was clever of them to pair them off that way #bc otherwise even though easton is well liked he wouldn’t really qualify for a book as just a side character #(not that they didn’t do that for oscar / jack and are obviously angling for a frog / quinn book)#and vada needs someone trustworthy from outside the families #anyway. THEY ARE ALL I THINK ABOUT #YOURE TELLING ME I HAVE TO GET THROUGH ALL THE COBALT BOYS BEFORE THIS??
