No good travel blog is without some delicious food. We saved up on our food budget throughout this trip specifically so we could splurge on meals when we arrived in New Orleans. And, boy, it did not disappoint!

On the first night, we headed directly for Commander's Palace in the Garden District after making our way from Florida. Not pictured here are also the delicious soups we ordered and the bread pudding soufflé. 😩👌

For lunch we headed to Brennan's in the French Quarter. I had some delicious pancakes and Archie had more seafood, as one does when they're in Louisiana.
While we didn't order their famous banana's foster dessert, we got to watch a few other groups get this flaming tableside service.

Vampire Cafe, cocktail in a blood bag, lamb stew, 'gator po' boy
We were still in the French Quarter by dinner, so we made a stop into the Vampire Cafe. The atmosphere was a bit more our speed here compared to some of the more swanky restaurants in the area.
We both ordered their signature blood bag cocktails. I enjoyed some lamb stew and Archie ordered an alligator po' boy—I guess she got to see a gator after all. 😅
