After a couple hours of wreaking havoc on the denizens of Velketor’s Labyrinth, the powerful raiders I had been grouping with had to depart, and so the group reformed. While still powerful, my new companions were not as overwhelmingly capable as my previous ones, and so we moved into the basement area of the IC camp to engage in a more traditional grouping experience. Kudos to Jalloon, Subversive, Taeon, Throatcoater, and Tomatojuice!

“Friends,” I told myself. Replaying the words in my mind. He agreed to it. We were friends once, and we were strangers. This isn’t like the last time. I know that he knows that. Before I was childish to think that he’d prefer someone other than me. I knew better now, but still. I fell into the clutches of a pretty man’s face.

It’s better to leave. I tell myself daily. Better to leave now instead of watching the man I love fall for another. It’s selfish, it’s wrong. And I keep going back to what Atlas told me. “The future, going forth from here. Specifically yours… I see it being very bright. And to see you so guarded and darkening your… spark I suppose you could say… saddens me. I may not be the best person to help. But know that… you by no means need to do everything by yourself. In fact, I think we would all be worse off without you.”

To go against the wise words of a bronze dragon. Preposterous. I chuckled, thinking to myself. I can leave, and nobody will bat an eye. I thought, glancing out the window seeing the substantial barrier across the garden.

“Not until Lorien’s been dealt with,” I whispered and remembered my promise to my siblings. “Won’t be too long until then.” I hoped, at least.

“He’ll be happy one day and so will I.” My voice cracked, with tears streaming down my cheeks. “I’m sorry, my Gwain. I’m so sorry.”

I woke up to an empty cold bed. As I called out for the man, I wanted to call my husband. I couldn’t help but feel the dread of him leaving. There was something different, a feeling… something I never expected. But who? Why? I asked myself getting out of the bed. Reaching for the silk bathrobe, I quickly made my way out the private quarters to find him.

“This couldn’t have been him.” I mused wrapping my arms around my chest. “My Gwain…” I whispered looking into rooms I knew were vacant. Maybe he needed some time away. I stopped reaching for the ring on my finger. Is… Is my Gwain having second thoughts? I thought, feeling a lump form in my throat.

No… Gwain wouldn’t do that. Would he? 

Leaving the empty room, I moved down the stairs and into the living room, the kitchen and then finally the foyer. “He’s not here…” I whispered feeling slightly self-conscious over the fact he may have left.

My teeth found my lower lip as I turned to slowly make my way up the stairs.

It's obvious to everyone around you that you feel the need to keep everything just the way you like it, and that insistence often borders on obsession. Your persistence, materialism, and sentimentality can prevent you from ever letting things go, and the more you care about them, the more stubbornly you defend your right to own them forever. Sorry to say, but there are some things, like memories and loved ones, you simply can't own, and trying to stake your claim over them just makes you seem unbalanced and creepy. Talent(s): He’s exceptionally well versed in enchanting items. Sometimes he goes out of his way to make powerful enchantments just to ensure the quality of the product that his customers want. Taeon also makes his own line of drinks. He uses his own magic to make each one unique. An exceptional dancer, self-proclaimed stylist. He is known as the High Enchanter & Cursor of Alenor Vale, meaning he can also collect souls of the dead or the living.

A wish they have always wanted: He very much wants to be married and to have or adopt a child with his partner. We’re getting there, and he’s close to getting one of his dreams. He’s quite excited about this!

An item they hold dear to their heart: The purple band that Gwain gave him as a sign of trust, devotion and love. It is also a knight’s tradition. Anything that Gwain had ever given him, means a whole lot to him. 

Favourite sound(s): Gwain’s heartbeat. It calms him and lets him know that the moment he’s living in right now, is real. The sounds of rain hitting the windows. To him, it has this therapeutic effect to it. 

Fear(s): Losing his family to the corruption of his species, also losing Gwain. At this point, he doesn’t know what he’d do without him. 

Accomplishment(s): Being happy for once. Truefully, happy. It’s been a long time since he’s given a true smile. 

Your muse’s catchphrase(s): The roll of the eyes with a smug grin and he just says, “Well then.” And he just stretches his fingers out then sort of quickly puts them into a fist from pinky to index. It’s hard to explain. 

Likes: Practicing his magic, reading, horseback riding, flying, enchanting items, making new drinks and testing them either on his brother or his fiance. Gwain! Odysseus!

Dislikes: The Silens, corruption, Rolen (fuck this guy), Lorien (he’s going to be dead soon), Beridan (he’s dead now but still), abusers, cheaters, HATES Karim (he’s fucking dead now).

Any scars?: Tae has a scar on his left arm that goes from his fingertips up to his collarbone. He uses his “tattoo” to mask it. Once he activates the tattoo which is a living pseudodragon that stays on his arm, the scars show. He enchanted the small dragon a very long time ago to fuse into his arm as a tattoo unless he activated him, or when the eyes of the dragon flashed and that’s when he knew that Odysseus wanted to fly around for a little while.

Birthmarks?: A few, not gonna say where. Only Gwain can know.

Something about your muse that is different from everyone else: I guess his confidence? He’s not confident like how everything thinks? It’s sort of a very feminine/manly sort of confidence. There are some other aspects but I don’t want to outline them here, people will have to get to know him.

What makes your muse cry?: The feeling of losing someone whether it’s his family, his fiance, or his fiance’s family, his friends. He loves each and every one of them dearly. He’s made some horrible choices in his past and now he feels like he has to make up for it by loving the people that surround his life.

What makes your muse happy?: Gwain. Glitter, magic, dancing, making drinks, flying.

What makes your muse laugh?: Gwain’s ability to make him laugh! It’s great. Witty interactions.

Does your muse love his/her parents? Why or why not?: He doesn’t know his parents. The only form of parental influence he’s had was his stepfather that raised them until he died, and then his older brother Valerian who took up the role. He’s currently met his birth mother, but he’s conflicted on it. 

Does your muse have any friends? Which friend is closest to him/her?: Tae has so many friends, I can list them all here but the list will go on and on. The closest he has is his best friend first and foremost which is Gwain [ @spiesandcaptains ]. Their interactions are honestly the best, they’re lovers, they’re best friends, they’re honestly just everything you’d want a partner to be. Another close friend would have to be Variandra Sunsorrow [ @sunsorrow ], because who wouldn’t call her his best friend. She set up our babies together. And Keyianna Starsun [ @the-little-shining-star ]. He loves this little ball of sunshine so much and does his best to be there for her.

Your muse’s favourite food?: The Mount. Hands down. Anything that Gwain makes for him.

Does your muse follow a religion? Nope!

What would get your muse to fall in love with someone?: Not being abusive, showing him that it’s okay to love someone of the same sex (if he’s in a gay relationship - or starting one). He’s an abuse victim (rape, mental & physical abuse) so being considerate of that is major plus points. Allowing him to show some PDA, he used to get beaten if he ever attempted. Being there for him, whether it’s the good or the bad.

Has your muse ever killed/murdered somebody? Why did they do it and what was their motive? He has killed. Many people actually. He’s completely decimated an entire town of 250,000 people with his brother. All because they were a threat to the leader of the Clan.

Does your muse have a type when it comes to physical attraction?: So far he’s fallen for the guy with the auburn hair, the fiery eyes and the lopsided grin. The lopsided grin gets him. Every. Single. Time. Also a nice butt. He likes his butt. It’s a nice butt.

What does your muse find endearing personality wise?: People that are strong, inside and out. He kept his emotions hidden for so long and now they’re finally coming out. So when people can be strong, but can also cry. He finds that endearing, whether it’s an attraction or just appreciation. 

What is the stupidest/ most illogical thing your muse has done and why did they do it?: Loved and continued to stay with an abusive man for over 200 years. He used to beat himself up over this a lot. Kept himself hidden behind a lot of guilt, self-depreciation, and worthlessness. For a long time he felt like he was never good enough.

Gwain & Taeon’s First Thanksgiving

“My Gwain…” His voice chimed with excitement as he woke the Captain up gently. “It’s today.” He added with the Captain turning over tiredly. “What’s today?” He asked reaching up to rub his eyes. “A day to give thanks. A holiday I’ve adopted from elsewhere. Come on, we have much to do.” He watched as his beloved’s eyes closed. “Few more minutes.” Gwain murmured reaching over to bring Taeon into an embrace. “Okay.” Tae snuggled up into Gwain’s chest, just listening and watching as he slept for a few more minutes.

After an hour of laying in each other’s arms, they both managed to get out of bed without much trouble. With the house a little too chilly, Tae lighted the fireplaces and grabbed out two wool sweaters for Gwain and himself. “What’s this holiday you were talking about?” He asked slipping the gray sweater over his head. “Thanksgiving. There’s food, drinks, and family.”

Gwain watched him curiously and nodded. “Anything I can do to help?” Tae smiled and reached for his hand and reached up to give him a soft kiss on the lips. “The food maybe? I know you can cook, our siblings will be here this evening, we should get started on the turkey and pies.”

For a few hours they both cooked every possible meal they could that resembled the Pilgrim’s Bounty holiday. Even if it was a month too late, they still managed to get around to it. “The turkey will be done soon, and I’ve finished up the stuffing, with your recipe. Anything else?” Gwain asked moving towards Tae who had already decorated the pies, table and house. “You never cease to amaze me, Tae.” The compliment resonated in his heart as he turned around to embrace him.

“When the food is finished, we’ll just need to set the table, and I’ll put the wards down so everyone can make their way through. But not before we get ourselves dressed. I have a suit upstairs waiting for you, your measurements of course. I got them from Key, go and get yourself cleaned. I’ll watch the food until you’re done.” Tae, being a few feet shorter stood on his toes as he reached up to kiss him. “I won’t be long.” He responded pulling away from his embrace.

The enchanter watched as he made his way up the stairs. His heart swelled with happiness as he finished up the cooking. When Gwain returned, Tae switched roles and got himself ready for the feast as well. With a matching black suit and cufflinks; his hair styled and his eyeliner on. Taeon checked out his appearance and seemed pleased with the outcome.

“My Gwain…” His voice resonated throughout the home with his sing-song tune. The table was already set, and he looked blissfully amazed. The matching suit and cufflinks his love wore took his breath away. He, of course, didn’t want to spoil the first glance beforehand. Gwain adjusted his suit jacket and sleeves with his lopsided grin. His hair tied back into his usual style. “How do I look?” He asked almost nervously.

“Breathtaking…” Taeon responded with a heartfelt grin. “Time for our second holiday together, ready?” Gwain nodded slowly. “Ready.” With the wards down and the portal already coming through. All of the siblings came pouring through with Variandra holding onto Valerian’s hand. Spending their first Thanksgiving Holiday together as a connected family, Tae looked over to Gwain after everyone finished their plates and exchanged stories with each other.

“Thank you.” The Enchanter whispered softly with a gentle squeeze to his Captain’s hand. “Thank you, my love.”
