When I first work arround my new OC, I kinda need to set some basics down. Such as their bodytype, height, face, etc. Today I decided that it was the day to settle it down for those two!

Nara is max height for au’ra women, but Tahla is 2 cm taller than what a miqo’te woman can be in game. Nara has a hourglass leaning on pear bodytype. Tahla, on the other hand, is a pure hourglass. Due to her musculature, however, her body became more straight and box-y.

Playing around with Forbidden Magiks, I realized that you can put some gender locked clothing in your model of the other gender. But it alters their model a little. And in the case of Thancred’s outfit, it changes the arms and flattens their chest.

Recently I’ve been trying to make my character, Tahla, appear closer to her canon body type without using mods. She is muscular. In her design, she’s closer to a male miqo’te model than to a regular female miqo’te model.

This outfit is a very solid option to achieve the body I wanted for Tahla. Doesn’t distort the model that much, and gives her a way closer look to her original design than what the game can give me.

The next step was trying out some male model animations. I’m happy to announce they work amazing on her! (With the “joy” emote she even wiggles her ears! So cute!)

I also wanted to try and recreate her fighting style: gun and sword, kinda like in Bloodborne.

I’ve had tons of fun! I’m a little bit sad none of those are options in game, but at least I’m glad now I know how I can take pictures with her canon body type.

So, for tanks I'm actually going to bring my EU self-insert main! Because neither Nara nor Tahla are tanks at the moment, and because I wanna show her off a litte!

For tanking I mostly use DRK so here is my current DRK galm (with my WIP HW relic weapon!)

For melee DPS, well, I don't play much as melee DPS! But Tahla in NA is currently a dragoon until I can finish ARR, so I made on for her on the spot, so she can look nicely!

And for casters, I'm going to bring Nara wearing the outfit I'm currently farming on EU for my summoner!

(I love the Void Ark healer and caster outfit, looks super cool... Except the headpiece tho, the headpiece is atrocious XD This one is from World of Darkness!)

What tragic horror character trope is your character?

Nara Sadu // The Witch

People need to find blame wherever they can; it makes the bad things in their life feel just a touch more bearable. The witches are so often blamed for the curses others are under that no one even questions it anymore. You point to a supposed witch and everyone else prepares the stake, no matter their innocence. To be born and believed a witch is one of the worst curses of them all- you can have friends and family, but there's always a dread that someday, someone will point to you, and everyone you once trusted will throw you into the pyre. If you're here, reading this, you've probably been burned before. And I don't blame you for wanting to hide away, to really become the witch they all say you are, to curse them. But to be a witch is to brush your fingertips over the bark of a tree and watch it grow a touch stronger. Keep that in mind.

Tahla Nehla // That Which Cannot Be Known

Oh god. How did it come to this? To some extent, you've gone so far past your own idea of "human" that it must be kind of fun, right? Maybe. I'm not sure. As an artefact of cosmic horror, you're wild and wacky and colourful and people are probably drawn to that, but you will never let them know you. The mystery intrigues for a while, but it'll wear everyone down. It'll wear you down, too. Who are you? Do you remember? Are you so far gone that you can't go back? And maybe that's the most tragic thing of all- becoming so distorted in your identity, and for so long, that no matter how hard you want to return you can't ever seem to figure it out. But you've learned a vast amount up in the stars, and people will work hard to get to know you. It doesn't matter who you used to be. Sometimes, you should just start from scratch: give yourself a name, a birthday. Let someone celebrate these things with you.

Vincent // The One Who Opened The Door

You turn the door handle. You call out, "Who's there?" and the crowd has the audacity to groan, to get frustrated with you. As if the gift of hindsight was something you had. How the hell were you supposed to know you were born into a horror movie? No one bothered to tell you. Say, if instead this was an action film, or a fantasy, would they still be telling you how silly of a mistake it was to press further on your quest? They would've commended you for your bravery. You thought you were going to be saving a princess in a tower, not getting stabbed in the back by a killer in the shadows. How is that fair? It isn't, and none of that was ever your fault. It is not wrong to believe things are good. Your trust, your optimism, it shouldn't ever be mistaken for ignorance or stupidity. We need more people who open doors. how else are any of us gonna move forward?

Nara Sadu // Romance/Friendship Arc

You started this story a little hard, or awkward, or stubborn. That's okay. It's harder than it should be to admit, but what you really want is love. That's what your story is all about - not just the act of loving, but the allowance of it. The confession that you do not want to fight or bleed or save the world, but to simply feel the way two hands fit so easily together. You will have two chairs and a table and you will shut your blinds, and you will say the word love without faltering. This is a happy ending, and you do not need to feel guilty. It hurts our hands to fight - never to hold.

Tahla Nehla // Corruption Arc

So. You got worse. And i'm not entirely sure i can blame you for it. Maybe it was in you all along, hidden and waiting, or maybe someone planted it in you and watched it grow. Either way, it's there now and you hold it in your fist like a second heart - this blood, this hunger, this thrill of having teeth and using them. Perhaps you are right to. You are a mirror for the hardness of the world, and a mirror that we could all stand to look in more often. It's hard to watch the bleeding bring about more blood, but it is undeniable that you are very good at wounding.

Vincent // Disillusionment Arc

It's hard to imagine yourself when you were young. Maybe you were meant to be a hero; maybe you could have been, in another world, but this world only made you sad. There seemed to be too many problems to fix and too much cruelty and too many hard lines that you did not know how to soften. The world turns and it is bloody and hard and you sit on your bed, thinking about the blood and the hardness and all you failed to do. I know it feels like you could sleep until the end of time, but i hope you don't. I hope you lift yourself out of bed one day, not to save the world, but to peel an orange and to walk in a forest; to find all the softness you could not create.

Since I can't afford a phial of fantasia, I decided to make that miqo'te version of Nara into an alt.

Meet Tahla! The newest contender at the Ul'dah Coliseum!

Idk what to do with her, if she will become a separate character, if i'm going to make a canon fantasia for Nara, or if she is going to completly substitute Nara. In all honestly, all of those ideas are possible as of right now.

What I have thought for her so far: she's a little bit of a tomboy, with a very strong temper. Very strong, quite muscular for a miqo'te, you really don't want to be against her in a fight.

The two sisters usually prefer more muted and dark colors in general. They also are not particularly fond of standing out, even if they are in a wild party. This is why they never go out with their uncle Vincent, because he always goes all out! He never misses an opotunity to be the most dressed person in a given situation.
