First, I'm so sorry about the late reply, I was a bit busy in the past two weeks. 😶

I just wanted to say that your art absolutely astounds me, it is so beautiful and it inspires me as an artist just seeing it.

I will never stop saying that this kind of message is SO incredibly sweet and it touches me a lot. I can't believe that someone, somewhere is seeing me as an inspiration. I just draw fan art on my living room table with my cat puking from time to time to encourage me so I let you imagine how incredible it is to read this.

I wish you good luck as an artist, a lot of inspiration, not too much headaches and of course, not to draw on the wrong layer too often. 😁💖

Your use of color is stunning and unique

I felt guilty for a long time using so many colors.  I thought that "good artists" (whatever the hell that means) used restricted palettes or at least palettes that made sense but me ? I used too much or everything. Too many colors, too many highlights, too many flares. 🙃 And then, one day, I thought "Fuck it" ! Also, people online telling me that they loved my use of colors was a turning point. I couldn't believe it, it was amazing. 😳

Anyway, I love colors. It doesn't mean that I don't draw in B&W from time to time or that I don't use more desaturated palettes sometimes but I stopped feeling guilty about my art being kitch and "over the top". I mean, look at my favorite artists and inspirations: Pierre & Gilles, Akemi Takada, Chen Shu Fen & Pin Fan, etc...everything is colorful. And detailed too. 🙃 Don't laugh at me but this art was me, trying to draw with less details. I REALLY struggled not to add more details to John and Sherlock's hair.

I'm excited to see more of your work in the future!

Thank you so much! I updated my WIP post recently. I'm almost done with the cowboy Castiel one and also, great news, my beta reader sent me the ficlets I wanted to post with some of my artworks so I'm soon going to be able to share all the Mystrade + Ironstrage art with their companion ficlets soon. I also started to sketch a Stucky one for Valentine's Day. Anyway, so many artworks ahead. 🥳

15o BUDAPEST CIRCUS FESTIVAL: RED SHOW FOTO Gli spettacoli del 15º Festival del Circo di Budapest sono denominati con i colori della bandiera magiara : Rosso per il primo spettacolo di selezione (in programma mercoledì e domenica), Verde per il secondo (programmato per giovedì venerdì e sabato) Bianco per uno spettacolo particolare chiamato Lyrical Circus late night show (più moderno e contemporaneo con performances non in competizione) e uno così definito Rosso-Bianco-Verde che è uno spettacolo di soli artisti ungheresi (sabato sera). Mercoledì 10 gennaio dopo il Red Carpet si è aperta ufficialmente la gara con lo spettacolo di selezione “Rosso“. I NUMERI E GLI ARTISTI

Sui vari numeri del programma svetta la China National Acrobatic Troupe una dozzina di artisti con le biciclette che eseguono una performance quasi fosse un jockey a cavallo. La camminata finale di un artista sulla schiena degli altri componenti ha conquistato il pubblico che gli ha tributato una bella standing ovation. Fa parte della stessa troupe anche il giocoliere in bouncing Kai Cao che balla il tip tap e contemporaneamente giongla su un praticabile che si muove sulla pista consentendo figure originali.

I Group Tightrope Walkers Wntik, provengono dalla Russia, e sono parte della famiglia Dneprovskii, da molti anni specializzati in questo tipo di performance e vincitori di molti premi nei principali festival. Eseguono un numero al filo alto di buon livello in cui eseguono figure come la tripla colonna o la spaccata sulla testa di due componenti. E sempre dalla Russia proviene la famiglia Markin, non una novità per gli appassionati del circo in quanto una quindicina di anni or sono presentavano un’originale numero di rullo con musiche e costumi felliniani. Oggi fanno parte del gruppo solo Roman, sua moglie e il figlio e si sono specializzati in un numero di pertiche. Sono stati premiati in Russia nel 2023 con la medaglia d’oro al Nikulin Moscow Circus Festival, nella categoria giovani, i due giovanissimi kazaki che presentano un bambù aereo (Bambook Act) di buon livello tecnico anche se la lunghezza della performance un po’ lo danneggia.

La Russia ha in competizione anche un bel numero alla corda verticale di Evgeniia Zavadskaia che ha già vinto un bronzo al Festival delle Principesse e riesce ad essere di impatto sul pubblico. Anche il numero di rullo di Vladimir Erofeev proviene dalla Russia, mentre dall’Inghilterra arriva Fraser Hopper che ha il compito, non semplice, di strappare un sorriso. I paesi asiatici sono rappresentati dal gruppo Walker diabolo quattro ragazzi di Taiwan che effettuano una simpatica coreografia principalmente con gli oggetti illuminati.

È senz’altro originale e non usuale la performance con lo yo-yò del giapponese Shu Takada che fa roteare questi mini oggetti in una coreografia spettacolare e con uno stile accattivante.

Una menzione particolare va all’unico numero di animali in programma presentato da Elisa Cussadiè che, come al Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo, con molto eleganza presenta sei pappagalli. Gli applausi ricevuti, non solo sottolineano il gradimento di questa tipologia di numero, ma sono un buon presupposto per un altro premio importante. IL MESSAGGIO DI PACE Budapest si è sempre contraddistinto anche per cercare di lanciare un messaggio sociale. Quest’anno il tema è la pace. Messaggio sottolineato con un finale suggestivo, con tutti gli artisti vestiti di bianco e con la cupola riempita di camicie bianche unite per i polsi quasi fosse un girotondo di tutti popoli.

Purtroppo a causa di problemi tecnici lo spettacolo di selezione “Rosso” non ha potuto vedere l’attesa esibizione dei Flying Caballero. 15° FESTIVAL DEL CIRCO DI BUDAPEST Dal 10 al 15 gennaio 2024, Budapest con la sua 15° edizione del Festival tornerà al centro dell'interesse mondiale per le arti circensi.

L'arte del circo si è mantenuta viva per secoli, grazie a coloro che credevano che la performance umana non avesse limiti, e sono riusciti a mantenere questa concezione per generazioni. Venticinque anni fa un gruppo di professionisti guidati da István Kristóf creò il Festival Internazionale del Circo di Budapest. Grandi artisti da numerose parti del mondo giungeranno in Ungheria per una competizione di altissimo livello e di grande prestigio. Portacolori per il nostro paese saranno Selyna Bogino con il suo numero di antipodismo, Elisa Cussadie e i suoi splendidi pappagalli e Alex Giona con i suoi cavalli in libertà. All'interno del Festival verranno presentati quattro show differenti, show RED e GREEN, show WHITE (Circus Lyrical late night show) e RED-WHITE-GREEN (Show Hungarian supertalents) SHOW RED
