🎈describe your style as a writer; is it fixed? does it change?

A lot of people have told me my writing is very visceral and I think that's an apt description! I like to focus on difficult emotions and the unspoken ways characters can choose to process them. I'm big on internal dialogue and sensory description. I'd say my style, generally, hasn't changed; I think it's just gotten more refined. I'm more willing to experiment and push myself out of my comfort zone than I was in the past. I've also been trying to write for myself and not other people which I think has helped.

💝what is a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?

This random ATLA Halloween story that I wrote for fun and honestly didn't expect to get that much attention. A lot of my 'most popular' fics are the ones I feel I didn't take much time with and I'm not that proud of which can be hard to grapple with as a writer (hence why I've been focusing on what I enjoy and not necessarily the amount of kudos or comments something gets. I don't always succeed lol but I'm trying!)

I think this TYK fic would be cool to hear read aloud!

11. if you're a writer or artist, what fic or piece of art are you proud of making?

Last of Our Kind is certainly my favorite, because it is set in Japan so I got to write about all of my favorite things! A close second would be Fallow Fields, because it contains all of my JGY apologism and some favorite headcanons of mine.

12. compliment someone else in your fandom

Gotta give this one to @takonxmz who has been doing an amazing job podficcing so many xiyao fics and drawing art covers for every podfic, too! I automatically hear Tako's Meng Yao voice in my head at this point, it's amazing.

Final Fantasy XIV! It's one of the best videogames/stories I've ever experienced, though I never got super involved with the fandom.
