With that, the Purrloin gang left the place, scared. I approached slowly Corviknight and I stroked her neck. “Easy girl...Ya know you don’t need to do this alone...As you have seen, they are ready to help ya...Maybe they could take care of your egg while you’re with me out of the house”

We arrived to Mototoske Gym and were recieved by my uncle, who gave us a teasing smile, telling us that he knew that we were up to something when he was going to enter in my room. “I hope you’re ready for a really flaming training” uncle Kabu said before whispering to me and Piers “And keep focus on the training and not on each other”

“I’m always ready, babe” Piers said and we started to train, focusing on my Fire type Pokemon.

“Your Pokemon did very well” Piers said as we exited the Gym “Specially Raboot. He’s doing very well and I’m sure that with you, it won’t take him too long to evolve”

“Thanks, dear” I said “I’m always trying to do the best for my Pokemon”

I blushed and then, I punched his arm softly as he laughed and ruffled my hair. We spent near three hours training, and after that, we decided to take a break for lunch and for a walk before going back to the training.

“Finally I found ya”

I freeze in that moment after hearing that voice. HIS voice. It couldn’t be...It was impossible...Piers squeezed my hand gently, trying to make me move, but I couldn’t. Glaceon turned to see who had talked to me and then, she hissed and growled, arching her back, ready to attack once I told her.

The man that broke my heart and feelings, one of the reasons-well, maybe the main reason- of why I left Alola and I came to Galar...He was here, wearing those clothes and with those tattoes...He was still the leader of Team Skull, but then, why the heck he was doing here?! “What are you doing here, Guzma?” I asked, my tone so cold that Piers got a bit scared of it, but he kept at my side “By Arceus, what the fuck are you doing here?!”

“What Imma doin’ here? You should know it” Guzma said crossing his arms as Golisopod exited his Pokeball, looking at me and Piers with fierce “Oh, wait, ya don’t know cause ya don’t ready my messages”

“Maybe cause I told you to stop calling or texting me” I growled “And I wasn’t going to waste my time on your texts or calls. Now tell me why are you here before I loose my temper”

“Easy there, babydoll” he said and I hissed “I came here to say sorry for how I treated you that day on the Pokemon Center...But I think I came here for nothin’”

“Excuse me? Betrayed?! I’m the one who was betrayed by your words!” I said, growling

“Tsk, let’s see if you keep talking like that after this” Guzma growled “Golisopod”

Golisopod growled and then, he used Pin Missile, directly againts me. “Raikichi, watch out!!” Piers shouted as he pulled me to the down, both of us falling to the ground. Golisopod used again Pin Missile, but Glaceon stopped it with Ice Shard. Both Piers and me coughed due the dust as Piers moved and got his back againts the ground with a low pain cry, before checking on me. “Babe...Are you alright?” he asked

“Y-yeah...Holy Arceus, you’re bleeding...” I said as I saw that his left arm and part of his left side were bleeding. He recieved part of the Pin Missile when he pulled me to the ground. “Easy, babe, let me help you...”

“Giving up that easily, babydoll?” Guzma said, laughing before returning to his serious tone “You should have thought first on your love decisitions”

“HOW DARE YOU TO SAY THAT WHEN YOU WERE THE ONLY RESPONSIBLE OF ME LEAVING YOU?!” I yelled as I tried to stop Pier’s bleeding “Hold this, babe...” I said pressing a clean towel on his wounds

“Why ya don’t leave him and return with me to Alola?” the Team Skull leader said approaching us and when he tried to grab my wrist, I quickly pushed him away witch a kick directly to his stomach “You got more stronger, babydoll” he said with a groan as he recover, and when he tried to approach again, not only Glaceon interjeced; Corviknight went out of her Pokeball and after seeing Piers hurted and me with bruises as I tried to help my boyfriend, she looked at Guzma and let out a loud and angry noise that warned my uncle and his trainers, who exited the Gym running.

“Kiddo!” uncle Kabu said as he approached us “What the-” he started to say before spotting Guzma and understanding that the man with the Golisopod was the one responsible of my suffering. Uncle Kabu knelt next to us and helped Piers to sit down in order to see his wounds better “Raikichi, take Piers back home. I’ll deal with...”

“No”

“Kiddo, I’m speaking seriously. I’m the Gym Leader of this city and...”

“And I’m the World Champion and the one who has to deal with her own problems right now” I replied interrupting him “It’s time to face him”

“Raikichi...” my uncle tried to say as I stood up

“Rock him down, babe...” Piers said before hissing when Kabu helped him to stood up

I nodded and then, I turned to face Guzma. “So you’re goin’ to battle me, babydoll? Then, let’s make a deal. If you win, I go back to Alola, but if I win, you will come with me back to Alola”

“Kiddo, think on what are you going to say” uncle Kabu said

“I’m the unbeatable World Champion...And I’m not going to allow him to beat me!” I said as I removed my jacked, leaving it on the floor. I was tired of Guzma, and now, he was going to pay for what he had done. “Ready, Glaceon?” I said and Glaceon nodded, but before she could stepped onto the battlefield, Corviknight stopped her “Corviknight...Do you want to fight?” I asked and when she nodded, I smirked “Then, let’s see how you move on battle. Corviknight, I choose you!”

Corviknight let out another angry cry before rising a bit in the air, flipping her big wings, as Guzma choosed his Golisopod. I looked behind me to see that Piers was smiling at me and after returning the smile to him, I looked at Guzma, loosing my smile as my gaze darkened.

“Golisopod, use Liquidation!”

“Block it with Steel Wing!”

Corviknight blocked Liquidation with her Steel Wing, throwing Golispod a bit away. “Now, grab Golisopod and use Fly, taking him with you!”

Corviknight grabbed Golispod and flew high and then, she went down, throwing the Pokemon to the ground in the right moment before returning to me. “Steel Wing!”

“Poison Jab!”

Both attacks crushed, and Guzma smirked, but then, he lost his smirk when he saw that Corviknight didn’t get poisoned. “Corviknight is not only Flying type; it’s also Steel type, so don’t try to poison her; it won’t work”

“Dammit”

“Now, use Brave Bird!”

Corviknight flew higher and used Brave Bird, hitting Golisopod and throwing him few meters away. She returned at my side, suffering a bit due the recoil. But then, Golisopod was up, wounded, but we was still up. “He’s tought” I said as I was ready to use a Z move, but then, Golisopod fainted. Corviknight landed and she let out a victory cry as she spreaded her wings before nuzzling me and then, she went to check on Piers.

“You did it very well, girl” he said as he stroked her feathers before chuckling a a bit when nuzzled him again

“Now you have to fulfill your deal’s part” I said looking at Guzma “Go back to Alola and never come back here”

“You can’t forbid me to come here, babydoll”

That was enough. I approached him and I slapped him with all my strengh that he lost his balance and fell to the ground. A red mark started to appear on the cheek I slapped, and my hand hurted a bit after that, but I didn’t care. “Listen Guzma, I tried to give you a little chance to change, but it looks that you won’t never change. Now take your filrhy ass back to Alola and if I see you here again, be sure that I’m going to kick you out of here. And have this in mind; maybe now I hate you, but I still care of those grunts of Team Skull, so when you go back to Alola, I hope you’ll tell them how you failed here”

My gaze darkened even more, and Glaceon was preparing a Shadow Ball directly to him but when I saw him standing up and turning in direction of the airport, Glaceon stopped, and the Shadow Ball dissappeared. Then, I rushed to see Piers, who was holding on my uncle. “Piers! Oh, I’m so sorry, I should have known that he would came here ignoring my words...And, I’m so fucking stupid...”

“Don’t call yourself that, babe” Piers said stroking my face in order to wipe my tears away

“We should take Piers to our home, kiddo” uncle Kabu said and I nodded “And also, you should let me to check if you have wounds”

I sighed and I looked down when Glaceon rubbed her fur againts my bare leg, and Corviknight nuzzled me with her beak before taking one of the berries that Elle gave to her and then, she gave one berry to me. “I’m not hungry, Corviknight...” I said as I took the berry, but Corviknight moved my hands to my chest, telling me to eat the berry. “Really, I’m not hungry...”

Corviknight tilted her head and after eating part of the berry that I held, she told me again to eat the other half. She was acting as the mother she was, so I sighed and I ate that half berry and Corviknight chirped happily. After eating it, Corviknight offered to take me back to my uncle’s house, so once I climbed onto her back with Glaceon after taking my jacket from the ground, she flew back to uncle Kabu’s house.

Once there, Corviknight went to the garden in order to check on the egg as I entered inside. Piers was shirtless, and uncle Kabu was treating his wounds. I swallowed as I put my jacket on a chair, I sat down next to my boyfriend, removing the hair from his face and stroking his cheek before holding his hand cause the healing was being a bit painful. “Luckily for you, you won’t get scars” uncle Kabu said as he finished putting the bandages on his wounds “But you’ll have to take some rest”

“But I have to do things on my Gym...”

“I’ll do that if you want” I said and both Piers and uncle Kabu looked at me “You’re wounded and it was all my fault”

“Stop putting the guilt on you, kiddo” uncle Kabu said, now treating the few bruises I had “It was Guzma’s fault, not yours”

“It was my fault for thinking that I could had been on something with him”

“Raikichi, look at me” he said, and I obeyed after sighing “You tried to help him to change, you offered your help cause you knew about his past, and that isn’t. Having a kind heart isn’t bad, Raikichi.”

“Then why I always got this fuckin’ problems every time I tried to help someone?!” I cried, clenching my hands on the edges of the couch as tears poured from my eyes “Always showing my kind side and always getting paid so badly!” I said as I tried to stand up, but my uncle’s grip was strong.

“Listen to me, kiddo” he said “Stop putting all the guilt on you. If those people didn’t appreciate your kind heart is all their fault, not yours, so don’t let those thoughts take your mind”

I looked at my uncle and after nodding a bit, he smiled and started to treat my bruises, and once he was done, Piers embraced me and made me lean on his right side, the one without wounds. “C’mon, babe” he said kissing my temple “Ya know, I’m going to do everything to make you happy”

“I know...Do the wounds hurt?” I asked with a yawn before cuddling more next to him

“Not much” Piers said stroking my back “Ya know, you made him bite the dust pretty well...I hope he won’t come back here”

“Well, he can come back...But I’m sure he won’t if he wants to keep the fragments of his pride safe”

Piers laughed and kissed my temple again before chuckling when Glaceon jumped onto his lap asking for pets. As he stroked her fur, uncle Kabu prepared some food, and when I tried to help me, he told me to take a rest since I was still suffering a bit of stress after what happened with Guzma. When I returned to the couch and to Piers’ embrance, I noticed that he was texting his sister, telling her that he would pass some days with me. “I hope Marnie doesn’t hate me...” I said looking down

“She doesn’t hate you babe” Piers said “She saw what happened and she’s very glad that you kicked Guzma’s butt”

“Wait,wait, wait” I said looking at him “She saw it?!”

“Yeah, there were some press there and recorded the attack and the battle and they put it on the social media”

“OH for fuck sake” I groaned burying my face on my hands

“Don’t feel like that, babe. All Galar saw how you put that bastard on his place”

Then, he showed me some posts on the social media calling me ‘hero’ for saving Piers after being attacked by Guzma, and they were impressed of Corviknight. Also, some comments were about how Glaceon was ready to comfront Guzma if he didn’t go away. I sighed and then, we went to have lunch.

At night, I was the last one on going to bed. I was in the garden with Glaceon, watching on Corviknight, who was putting few branches more on her nest before ruffling her feathers and put herself over the egg with a lot of care. Then, she looked at me and nuccled me with her beak. “Hey girl...I’m okay...It’s just...I don’t know if I did good thinking that I could have helped Guzma...Everytime I tried to help him, he pushed me away...And when I tried to confess him my feelings, I didn’t find the proper moment...And I wouldn’t find it since he broke my heart and feelings...” Corviknight made a noise that made me look at her “You’re right, I shouldn’t be thinking on that since my ehart now belongs to Piers but...” I said but then, she made another sound. She was acting like a mother, just like Glaceon “Alright, alright...That’s true...” I said shaking my head before looking over my shoulder when I heard the garden door opening “Hey, uncle”

“Kiddo, you should be on bed” he said sitting next to me

“I couldn’t sleep, and I didn’t want to disturb Piers” I said stroking Glaceon’s fur

“Remember when you called your parents that day after that boy abandoned you after breaking your ankle?”

“Yes, and why did you have to remember me that?”

“Because I want you to remember what I told you that day”

I sighed and rolled my eyes “A simple defeat shouldn’t be my final, that I should keep pushing despite the odds”

“And how your rivality and hate with that boy ended? With you beating him in the finals of the Sinnoh league. That day you made this old man feel proud of you, kiddo”

“That includes the day after when I defeated Cynthia and I won the World Title?” I asked “Because I remember very well how you were crying as you hugged me”

He laughed and ruffled my hair “Of course I was proud of that, but hey, you have it in your blood. You’re from a family full of Gym Leaders, and your kwnoledge and your progressive training helped you to reach the top of the world”

“I remember you saying ‘We’re a family full of Gym Leaders...And with a World Champion too from this day’ and then you couldn’t keep talking cause you were too excited by my victory” I said laughing as well “The mighty and the ever-burning man of fire that always keeps his calm face was in tears and ready to jump of happiness”

Uncle Kabu laughed even more before shaking his head “I told you that you would make him eat his own words, and you did it”

I looked at the night sky as we kept talking about the good times before I started to yawn. “Go to sleep, kiddo” he said standing up and then, I stood up as well “And remember that having a kind heart doesn’t make you a weak person, okay?”

I nodded and he hugged me before telling me again to go to sleep. I chuckled and with Glaceon, I entered in my room, finding Piers sleeping peacefully with my Galarian Zigzagoon plushie on his arms. I smiled and once I closed the door, I got onto my sleeping clothes and I laid next to him after removing the ponytail and my glasses, I curled next to him, and when he felt me near, he put away the plushie and quickly embraced me on his arms as he mumbled ‘my muse’ on his sleep. I blushed and after kissing softly his lips, I closed my eyes and it didn’t take me too long to fall asleep.

The days passed and after more less a week, Piers recovered completly. As my uncle said, he didn’t get scars cause the injuries weren’t too series. During the days he was recovering, we spent time in the Vault at Hammerlocke, and seeing how he interested was in learning more about my research and also about the history of Galar made me fall more in love with him. With Guzma, that wouldn’t had happened; he always got bored easily and always got me away from my researches when I was in Alola, but with Piers was different. He took notes and helped me trying to translate the texts that the tapestries and the old books had, and when I was taking a small break-or a small nap-he took his notebook and tried to translate things on it, and when I woke up, he asked me if he did it well. He really loved helping me with my investigation, and if he could enjoy and learn doing that, he would do it more times. Also, we went to Spikemuth cause I told him I would help him to train his Gym trainers, using for that my Umbreon, Absol, Zoroark, Weavile and Linoone to help them to train their Dark type Pokemon. After one of those trainings, Piers took me to his house cause I teased him so much during the last battle that he wanted to pay me back, but due the little pain of his wounds, he wasn’t able to give me pleasure; despite of that, I decided to give him pleasure, and he was happy with that.

That day, after that week in which Piers was recovering, we were on my bed, cuddling and with zero intention on getting up, but Piers, that was now recovered, had to leave to Spikemuth in order to check on his Gym, and I had to go with Nessa to Wyndon cause we had to buy luxury dresses to the luxury party that Chariman Rose was going to celebrate on his tower in Wyndon. All the Gym Leaders were invited, and also me. I remembered how I felt when uncle Kabu showed me the invitation that both of us recieved. Piers didn’t opened it; it only took him a simple glance to the invitation to know what was going on.

I sighed as I curled more next to Piers, making him chuckle. “Ya know, babe, we have to get up and prepare ourselves”

“But I don’t want to leave the bed...I want you to stay...”

“Feeling lazy?”

“Kind of...”

“Ya know, I have to chech on my Gym, and you agreed to go with Nessa to buy a dress...” Piers said kissing my temple

“Tell me again why I have to go to that party...” I said with a sigh

“Because you agreed to have an exhibition match againts Leon for the Pokemon League Opening of this year”

I sighed again and I rolled my eyes as I stood up in order to prepare myself. Both of us had breakfast before cause we woke up early, and then we decided to go back to the bed, but Piers was right. We had to prepare ourselves. With another sigh, I took clean clothes and with Piers, I went to take a bath while my uncle watched over Corviknight. She was a bit nervous, and maybe it was cause the egg was going to hatch soon, but we needed to wait for it.

After the bath, we got dried and dressed, and once Piers took his things, we exited the house. We shared a long and tender kiss until my uncle clreared his throat telling us that it was enough cause my boyfriend was going to loose the Flying Taxi. “I’ll text you once I arrive” he said “And don’t worry, we’ll see again in the party tonight”

I nodded and saw him entering in the taxi and once he was in the air, I took my bag and I took another Flying Taxi in order to go to Wyndon. Once I arrived, Glaceon and me searched for Nessa, and we found her. “Hey Raikichi!” she said greeting us “Ready to get the most beautiful dress in all Galar?”

“I think that” I said and Nessa took me to visit the different boutiques in Wyndon. We spent all the morning trying to search the perfect dress, and when I was going to give up, I spotted a black long dress, without sleeves, with a generous neckline and also, without anything to cover the mayor aprt of my back. Also, it had an opening that would leave my left leg bare. I took it and I went to put it on me, doubting that it would fit me. “Alright, let’s see if this one is the right one” I said as I exited the fitting room “What do you think?”

“You’re absolutely beautiful with that dress” she said making me turn around to see all of me “And I’m sure Piers would find that very sexy”

I blushed madly as I looked at myself in a mirror. “I...I’m not sure...”

“Raikichi, don’t feel ashamed of your scars. Listen, this is your chance to show them and to show those haughty people that the World Champion isn’t only a fighter. Show those scars but with elegance, like...”

“Like if I was in a Contest?”

“Yeah, that’s it!”

I smiled and nodded, and once I entered again in the fitting room in order to put my clothes on after removing the dress, I paid the dress and Nessa and me went to take something for lunch. During the lunch, she asked me about my relationship with Piers, making me blush a lot of times with some questions. We were going back to our respective homes when Leon spotted us and came to greet us.

“And here comes the Champion with the worst sense of direction” I said teasing him “Whoa, new record for you after finding us”

“Hey, that’s not fair” he said and I laughed, making him shake his head before smiling “So, are you ready for tonight’s party?”

“Kind of...I only hope press not to be assholes...Thanks to Arceus that my uncle spoke with Rose to tell him that Glaceon would be at my side all the time despite the rules of ‘No Pokemon allowed’“

“I understand that” Leon said before being surrounded by fans, and that made us Nessa and me take our chance to take a Flying Taxi after saying goodbye to Leon.

Night arrived and I was finishing preparing myself after a long evening helping my uncle to decided what suit he should wear that night. The dress I bought fit me really well, and I was finishing with the makeup when my uncle knocked at my room’s door. “Enter” I said “It won’t take me too long to finish” I said finishing with the makeup and pulling my hair into a ponytail, using a hair band decorated with black and white flowers, and after that, I put my necklace with the Keystone around my neck and then, I put my Dynamax Band and my Z Power Ring into the bag with some clothes cause we were going to spend the night on The Rose of the Rondelands Hotel, courtesy of Chairman Rose. “And I’m done” I said standing up and making sure that the black sandals were comfy despite of the high heels. “Uncle, you put the bow tie wrong again” I chuckled as I helped him with that “There you are”

“I hate wearing these things” he said once I put the bow tie on him correct “But look at you...This reminds me when you were going to participate on the Great Festival in Sinnoh” then, l he smiled as he put his hands on my shoulders “And think that you were a little child days ago...You’ve grown up very well, and I can’t stop feeling proud of you” he added as he took the bag with his things that Ninetales brought to him before returning to her Pokeball “Ah, Piers is waiting in the living room”

I blushed but nodded and once I put a white jacket on me and I took my bag and my purse, I exited the room, finding Piers there, wearing a black suit with a black shirt and also a black tie. As always, he hair was pulled into a ponytail.

“Oh, hi babe, I was...” Piers started to said and when he spotted me, he was out words “Holy Arceus...”

“So...Do you like it?” I asked shyly as I approached him and when he nodded, I smiled

“C’mon, love birds, our taxi is waiting for us” uncle Kabu said and together with Glaceon, we took the Flying Taxi, in direction to Rose Tower in Wyndon. Once there, we exited the taxi and I got surprised of the BIG amount of press that was at the entrance, taking photos and trying to get a small interview from the people that was entering in the tower.

“There is Gym Leader Kabu from Mototoske!” one of them said

“And that is Gym Leader Piers from Spikemuth!” another one said

“Is that Raikichi, the World Champion?” I heard another asking “Excuse me, Champion, I-”

“The World Champion doesn’t answer questions this night, so please, don’t disturb her” uncle Kabu said with his serious and cold tone that made the journalist back off

I swallowed a bit and I tried to calm down when Piers squeezed my hand gently while we approache de door. Once inside the tower, we were recieved by the employees, who gave us our hotel room’s keys as they took care of our packages before guiding us to the main and big room where the party was taking place. Since my jacket was now on its way to my room, I could feel the soft air over my skin, and also, I could hear the comments of the people aboyt my scars and burns, but most of the comments weren’t bad...Some of the people had their eyes of me and they were without words.

When we entered in the main room, I saw that the other Gym Leaders were there as well, speaking with some people, and then, Gordie put his eyes on me and got impressed. “Holy Arceus” he managed to say

“What’s up, Gordie? Did a Meowth bite your tongue?” Raihan said and when Gordie told him to look at me, Dragon Boy got impressed as well “Is that you, Raikichi?”

“Oh, c’mon, I don’t think I look that good” I said with a sigh

“C’mon, Little Champion, look at all the people that are amazed seeing you. You look so gorgeous and beautiful and...”

“Sexy?” I said rising an eyebrow as I got a smirk on my lips, decorated with crimson red lipstick

“Yeah, sexy” Raihan said, blushing so madly that I chuckled

“You can see but you can’t touch” Piers said grabbing my waist with his arm “She’s my treasure, Dragon Boy”

“Alright, alright, but who knows if I could take my chance to flirt with her a bit”

“Try it and you’ll know how to fly by your own” my boyfriend said teasing Raihan

I shooked my head before chuckling a bit before going to greet the other Gym Leaders, and when I was talking with Opal, I felt a gaze on me,. It was Leon, whose golden eyes were looking at me, and when I smiled at him, he blushed a lot before looking away. “You have all the people here with your eyes in you” Nessa said with a chuckle “Look at Leon, he’s blushing so mad that he could look like a Tamato Berry”

“Oh, c’mon” I said laughing softly.

Glaceon was aware of any journalist trying to sneak in order to preassure me to get photos or interviews, and she had to make some of them back off twice. I sighed and then, everyone shouted down when Chairman Rose and Oleana appeared on the stage.

“Goodnight everyone and welcome to this special event celebrated here, in Rose Tower” Rose said “This event was made to celebrate that the opening of this year Pokemon league is very near, and also, I wanted to make a big and excitment announce. This year, our beloved Galarian Champion Leon will face one of the most powerful Trainers in the world. No one couldn’t beat her, and she showed everyone her skills in battle. Let me announce that Champion Leon will face this year the only and unique World Champion Raikichi in an exhibition battle that will take place on the opening of this year Pokemon League!”

Everyone there cheered and clapped and I couldn’t help but blushed SO MADLY that I was like a Tamato Berry as I tried to hide behind Piers, who squeezed my hand gently, trying to calm me down. Then, all the cameras were at me and after some shoots, Glaceon had to act in order to make them stop cause I started to breath a bit harshly. “Babe, do ya want to go to the terrace?” Piers asked gently

“No, no...It’s okay...” I said after taking a big breath before looking at my uncle who approached us

“Everything’s alright, kiddo?” he asked worried

“Yeah...I felt a bit overwhelmed, but I’m fine now”

Uncle Kabu nodded and told us to go with him to the big dinning room that the tower had and after we took our seats, I sighed a bit in relief. I felt so tense that I was worried of getting some tension pain in my muscles, but once I sat down on the comfy chair, I could feel the tension leaving my body. During the dinner, I spoke with the Gym Leaders, and when Melony dropped the question of a future wedding, Piers and me blushed madly and my uncle was near of spit the wine he was drinking.

After the dinner, there was a dance party, but I didn’t feel comfy dancing when there were a lot of cameras pointing at the ball room. I was in the terrace, enjoying the soft night breeze with Glaceon when I heard someone approaching. I recognized those footsteps, so I smiled when I heard Piers approaching me. “Hey, babe” he said kissing my lips “Are you enjoying?”

“Yes, I think...Why you aren’t dancing with the others? You looked that you were enjoying the party”

“It wouldn’t be the same if I can’t dance with you”

“I’m not a very good dancer”

“Let me decide that for myself” he said taking my hand and kissing it soflty “May I have this dance, milady?”

I blushed madly but nodded. Piers smiled softly and we went back inside, followed by Glaceon. Then, he put his hand on my waist, the other one holding my hand as my free hand was on his arm, and then, we started to dance. “I’m really impressed, Champion” Piers said, teasing me a bit “You’re really good at dancing”

“Maybe” I replied with a chuckle as we kept dancing “I didn’t know that you knew how to dance”

“Things of being a musician, I guess”

I smiled and then, he leant in order to kiss me, enjoying that tender kiss before parting our lips. We kept dancing a bit more, but before we could kiss again, the orchesta director told the people to change their dancing partners and when Chairman Rose told that it was time for seeing both Champions dancing together, my breath turned harsly, but Piers squeezed my hand gently and after kissing my temple, he let Leon invite me for a dance. I was sure Piers was feeling jealous right now, but he didn’t want to have problems with Rose, so he went at Kabu’s side.

“Sorry if you’re feeling uncomfortable with this” Leon said as we danced. He dance well, but not as well as Piers, and few times, he stepped on me without intention “Chairman Rose knows how to keep the hype high”

“And that’s something that I hate” I said as I turned before keeping the dance. We kept dancing until I heard some comments that made me tense again. Leon noticed it and before he could say anything, I excused me and I went to the terrace, followed by Glaceon. I was breathing so harsly that I started to pant. How did they dare to say that I was thinking on cheating on Piers? How did they dare to say that Leon should be my partner instead of Piers? While I was trying to calm myself down, I heard some press coming to ask me things, and that made things worst. Glaceon growled at them, trying to keep them away until I heard my uncle talking to them and threating them to get them out if they didn’t stop disturbing me, and then, uncle Kabu came to my side with Piers.

“Kiddo?” my uncle asked “Everything’s alright?”

“I-I’m fine...I just need some fresh air...” I said

“You don’t sound fine, babe...” Piers said hugging me softly “Listen, go to your room, get comfy and wait me, ‘kay? I’ll go there later”

I nodded and I went to my room, hearing at my back how Piers and uncle Kabu would deal with the press to avoid them disturb me on my way to my room. Glaceon was at my side, ready to act again if she needed to do it. I opened the door and once I was inside my hotel room, I closed the door. I threw away the sandals and I removed the dress, getting only in my underwear before removing the ponytail. “Fuck that man...He’s trying to convince me to accept an official match againts Leon and he doesn’t know how to do it” I murmured as I removed the makeup and refreshed my face. Once I was done, I put a sleeping coat on me before noticing that I was on the same hotel room where Piers and me stayed those days...Where Piers and me made love for the first time. I blushed when I remembered it, and my blush got more darker when I remembered that Piers told me to wait for him. I went to the balcony, the soft breeze playing with my hair. I was enjoying that quiet moment when I heard a knock in the door. I went to open it and when I saw that it was Piers, I let him enter, closing the door behind him. Then, Piers kissed me with tender, and Glaceon knew that it was time to return to her Pokeball, so she touched her Moon Ball, and entered on it.

“I’m so sorry, babe...I should have known about that type of press on the party...” he said hugging me

“It’s okay, babe...” I said leaning my head on his chest before noticing again the blush on my cheeks “Piers?”

“Yes, babe?”

“Do you remember this room?” I asked and he nodded “We spent those days here...Inclusing that night when we made love...” I murmured as I hugged him again “Take me again, Piers...like that night...”

“Are you sure, Raikichi? You looked so stressed in the ball room...”

“Your love makes me feel better...” I whispered againts his lips

He pressed again his lips against mine as his hands got ridden og my sleeping coat before removing his own clothes and his ponytail. My underwear quickly joined the rest of the clothes before we landed on the soft bed, with Piers on top of me. “Raikichi...My muse...” he murmured between kisses before taking a package that contained the condom he put covering his hard member after both of us got the enough aroused to continue. “I’ll make everything to make ya happy...”

We both kissed and moan as our bodies connected, being one again. His hips againts mine, his sweet and romantic talk praising me as he kept moving, hitting that special spot of me. “May I tell you something?” he said after spending some minutes in silence “Nobody knows it, neither my sister, so I want to you to keep it in secret until the proper moment”

“Ya know, my lips are sealed, babe”

He smiled and kissed my temple before lacing his fingers with mine “This is going to be my last participation on the Gym Challenge as Gym Leader” he said and I looked at him “After this Gym Challenge, I’m going to retire from my position as Gym Leader”

“Why?” I asked as I leant on my elbow “You’re still young to retire”

“I know, but I spent many years putting the guilt of Spikemuth’s disrepair over me that made me had a lot of stress and also made me had fights with Rose when I tried to convince him for alternative ways to get a Power Spot near the town” he replied “But also, I want to focus more on my music career..And there is something more”

“And what’s it?”

“If I retire, I’ll be able to spend more time with you, Raikichi” he said stroking my cheek “I want to be at your side, and I know that after retiring I’ll be able to be more at your side, helping you with your research and travelling with you...”

“And who is going to replace you once you retire?”

“Marnie” Piers said as he made me lean again on his chest “She’s going to take the Gym Challenge, and if she doesn’t become Champion, she’ll be the next Gym Leader of Spikemuth. I know she will do better than me”

“You are a very talented trainer, babe...But I will respect your choice, if that is what you want” I said “I will be at your side in the moment you decide to tell the people”

“Thanks babe” Piers said and when I yawned, he chuckled “Let’s have a proper sleep, ‘kay?”

I nodded and I closed my eyes, and both me and Piers fell asleep quickly after sharing some more love words before falling asleep.

Pokemon Verse

Trainer Notes !

His homeland is the Johto region and he grew up in Ecruteak City, however growing up he would occasionally leave the city and go visit Olivine City because it’s right there and he was always curious about where the routes led to. He’s all too familiar with the burned tower and its story and its one of his favorite parts about the city, the top of the tower is where he usually chills at

Gym battles aren’t his main priority, which is why badges kinda stops at Morty’s gym. He’s more interested in traveling and seeing the sights, however does the gym battles when he feels like it for the experience and to have fun with the challenges

He calls himself a traveler but truth is he’s pretty laidback, not showing too much interest in leaving the region or having a ‘proper’ journey. He stays at his home or leaves the city from time to time to check out other places in Johto but never really too far unless he has a reason to / he has someone to go with

His treehouse is hidden in the trees near Bellchime Trail, he and his father built it there with his father’s promise that it’ll be close enough to Ho-Oh so it can protect Larry. It remains his safe place and hides there away from others when he needs to be alone

Despite his love for Ho-oh he’s a lot more interested in Lugia and wants to one day meet the guardian of the seas due to the fact Lugia is more of a mystery to him than Ho-Oh is, sorry dad

Once he was old enough / okay enough to travel that far he’ll occasionally go to the daycare to help out and care for the Pokemon that are in there, not minding the distance because hanging out with the tiny creatures makes it worth it

On top of that he knows how to bake, especially Pokemon treats and he’s more than willing to share

His method of catching Pokemon more involves letting the ‘mon do what it wants, he doesn’t throw anything at it right away, but prefers to get close to it and befriend it. If he thinks it wants to join him he’ll set a Pokeball down and let it decide. So more often than not he’ll have a few critters following him around that aren’t officially caught yet. Despite this he calls his team more of a family and he treats them as his friends above anything else, since battling others isn’t on top of the list of things he wants to do all the time

He loves his Pokemon dearly; often pampering them by playing with them, feeding them treats, and essentially giving them whatever they wanted. They’re family to them, and hopes that he can protect them the best he can just like they would to him. Despite they’re outside sweet demeanor though he won’t shy away from training them and teaching them ways to defend themselves if the situation were to arise

He’s not scared of Team Rocket, he calls them cowards if anything, he’ll fight them if he has to especially if its involving protecting someone or something from them

He’s team Valor because its the best team I dont take criticism

Mon Notes !

Cinnamon / lvl 30 / m

Agility ● Slam ● Shadow Ball ● Surf

He’s considered to be Larry’s first Pokemon. The two met back when Cinnamon was just a Sentret, and it was like love at first sight. They both immediately clicked and Larry would spend countless hours playing with and talking to the little guy. To this day Cinnamon is considered his best friend and remains by his side through thick and thin.

He’s considered Larry’s partner pokemon, he’s never inside a Pokeball and can always been seeing riding Larry’s shoulders or walking beside him. That’s mostly because he never actually caught him, Cinnamon has just always stayed with him so there wasn’t never any need to officially catch him. Because he doesn’t have an assigned Pokeball he sports a musical note necklace in a similar way as a collar, so Larry can easily pick out who he was and because it was just a nice gift to give to his friend

Cinnamon has a wild personality. Constantly having energy and sneaking away to hide in nooks and crannies and not hesitating to taking anything he can gets his hands on. He’s extremely attached to his trainer and would often push away others with his itty bitty strength if they get too close to him. He enjoys being the center of attention and loves to be given pets and cuddles and treats, it won’t be rare for him to deliver a loud ‘chirp’ to get eyes to focus on him or for him to nudge someone’s hand to get them to give him a scratch. The friendly yet protective leader of the pack, he’ll also be vocal about when things don’t feel right, and it’d be one of the rare times he’d growl if he finds someone or something suspicious

Marigold / lv 31 / m

Smokescreen ● Flame Wheel ● Quick Attack ● Leer

This a one that Larry actually went all the way to the professor for. After Cinnamon started to be less of the ‘wild’ slot and more into one that he took care of and was part of the team that a part of him felt bad that Cinnamon didn’t have someone else to spend time with. Especially another Pokemon to call a friend. So with the goal to give him a playmate, Larry went all the way to the lab to pick up one of the starters that was advertised to be someone’s actual first Pokemon. A pokedex was offered as well, but he just wanted a new ‘mon. Out of all three starters the Cyndaquil was what caught his eye first, and that was that

Cinnamon and Marigold are like brothers, and Cinnamon is the only other member that Marigold is fine with being around with. Marigold is a lot more on guard, and has issues with ‘attack first ask questions later’. However he has his sweet side, and is a cuddler when he genuinely warms up to someone and trusts them. He has a tendency to escape from his Pokeball to show his face and say hello, more often than not he does this because he wants to hang out with Larry and Cinnamon and see the surroundings, so he doesn’t get called back unless he wants to cause trouble.

Hoot / lv 30 / f

Confusion ● Hypnosis ● Psychic ● Aerial Ace

She was once Larry’s stalker, as he liked to put it, because at some point she suddenly showed up in the city and would constantly follow his every mood. Of course it would never phase him, if anything he would just drop food on the ground just in case she was hungry and to show that he didn’t want to harm her. 6 times out of 10 she would swoop down to take the free food and then go back to doing what she was doing. This was a routine that Larry got stuck in the middle in for many nights, until she dropped to the ground suffering from an injured wing. Immediately he wanted to help her, but she continued to back off and keep her distance. Despite the hesitation seeing Cinnamon and Marigold be so close to him brought her comfort and she allowed them all to get close. Soon enough Larry had a wild owl in his house.

Once she was fully healed Larry took her to the usual spot where she watched him from and waited for her to head back into the wild. However, she stayed put, and instead stared at him. Her message was clear, she wasn’t going anywhere, yet when a ball was offered she instead knocked it away. She liked him, but she wasn’t going to join him that easily and wanted to show her recovery and see his skill in a fight.

Of course Marigold was more than willing to do it, she was strong but he got the upper hand. Her final move was to knock into Larry himself to unlock a Pokeball. The Noctowl was his.

She continues to be quiet and keep to herself, constantly glaring at others simply because she isn’t a people person. Unless that person was Larry, who is the only person where she would perch on top of the head of with no hesitation. Once or twice she’ll show affection in her own ways, which is usually a headbutt or her sharing pieces of her own food. Due to him saving her life she has vowed to help Larry in every which way she can while also devoting her life to protect the reset of the team. She’s the mother of the group so to speak, the quiet terrifying mother who constantly tries to keep everyone else out of trouble. She’s a battler at heart, and won’t back down from a fight.

Midnight / lv 30 / m

Screech ● Toxic ● Psychic ● Shadow Ball

Eevees aren’t always the most common ‘mon, so to find one just wandering around felt like it was just too easy to get. Turns out the Eevee was abandoned, tossed aside into the woods after its trainer deemed it too weak and not worth making the effort to take care of. Because of this, it would constantly run off at the sight of any human being and would much prefer to keep to itself. It didn’t take long for Larry to understand his pattern, so he would instead leave food out for it close to his hiding spots and then leave.Usually, he wouldn’t take the food, but one day when he came back to check on it the food bowl was empty, and an Eevee slowly approached him out of the bushes.

It took a few more weeks to fully gain the Eevee’s trust, but once he did he saw that he was a playful creature and enjoyed chasing anything that moved to try and play hunter. Larry was the only person the Eevee was perfectly comfortable with being around, however he never followed him home and still liked to hide in the bushes. During a visit, the Eevee was given a Soothe Bell as another peace offering, which the Eevee happily accepted.

Soon after the Eevee evolved right in front of him, it was late at night when this happened, earning the name Midnight. Midnight pawed at him, knowing that there was an empty slot on the team that was reserved for him and he was finally ready to take it.

Midnight continues to be playful, his favorite toy being a laser pointer that he can chase around and never get tired. Another favorite toy item is the Soothe Bell that’s ties around his neck, he often paws at it to hear its jingles whenever he’s bored and never lets the item out of his sight, viewing the bell as some sort of special safety blanket. He continues to be extremely wary of other humans, constantly sticking close to Larry whenever someone approaches and instinctively growls at them to let them know to not mess with either of them. He’s grown a level of confidence that he didn’t have when he was an Eevee, enjoying battles that he participates in and likes to stand up tall to protect his family. He’s a loyal and observant Pokemon, and wants to prove himself strong.

Chomp / lv 3 / f

Tackle ● Sand Attack

The Gible was actually a gift egg, the owners having offered the mysterious egg to Larry knowing that he would care for it to the best of his ability. Apparently the old owner was a trainer from the Sinnoh region, but had returned to SInnoh without picking the egg back up, leaving it behind. After days of them never returning the egg became Larry’s, and he panicked. He had never taken care of an egg before but he trusted himself to know he wasn’t just going to break it on purpose. The other members were happy to have a baby in the party, and Marigold served as the egg’s main source of heat because he constantly curled up next to it.

It took a hassle, but the egg finally hatched into a baby Gible. She bit Larry immediately, but he knew it wasn’t out of malicious and more because she was a baby who got too excited. It won’t be the last of those bites, but Chomp was finally born.

Being the baby of the group, Chomp was the team member that everyone in the vicinity vowed to die for. Because she’s just a baby in needing to experience the outside world, she’s rarely inside her pokeball, almost as often as Cinnamon is. He’s constantly carrying her around and doesn’t let her out of her sight, she only gets called back whenever he can’t carry her around anymore for the day or he’s going to go somewhere where its not safe for her to be out. She’s a curious and playful baby Pokemon who bites and chases anything that moves. It’s her own way of having fun, seeing as how cheerful she really is. She tries to act tough though, and would jump out of Larry’s arms in occasion to join in on the fight. That’s another instance where she would get called back into the ball.

Pepper / lv 40 / f

Icy Wind ● Slash ● Agility ● Shadow Ball

Larry would never in his life sneak his way out and attempt to go to Mt. Silver itself. Then he actually did.

It was a dare, and one that of course he was not going to back down from despite it being a near impossible challenge. He traveled far, but ended up being unable to go up the mountain anyways since it was a closed location only the best of the best can enter. Viewing his current location as being close enough and calling the dare a win, he turned around and headed for the long journey home, unaware that someone else decided to follow him.

Cinnamon immediately picked up that they were being followed and showed hostility at whatever it was that tried to get too close. In that moment a Sneasel finally popped out. Her mischevious nature was clear, and it attempted to steal from the pair, but was immediately stopped by Cinnamon. She retreated back, but she was obviously not going anywhere. Not seeing the Sneasel as a pure threat, he tossed some food down and continued walking.

She popped out again when he was close to home, but this time gives a warning swipe, wanting a fight. They both gave her what he wanted, with Cinnamon being the one who battles her because by that point he was sick and tired of her and didn’t appreciate her following them around. They both gave a good fight, enough for the both of them to suffer from cuts and bruises. The Sneasel was too stubborn to give up and it was only until it collapsed from fatigue that Cinnamon was declared the winner. Once he was rewarded with a berry to get his strength back up, Larry turned his attention to the exhausted Sneasel and treated her with potions and berries too. It felt a little better afterwards, and showed her appreciation for his kindness and the fight by clinging to his leg until the Pokeball was offered.

Pepper is stubborn and quick to fight, often wanting to be the first in line to prove her strength in a battle. She’s constantly finding ways to get into trouble, whether it be challenging random wild Pokemon or stealing from strangers. This is simply her way of having fun and doesn’t seem the harm in doing what she wants to do. Even if she wants to be the problem child, her loyalty to Larry and the team is easy to see, and won’t go against orders when she sees the situation is serious and she’s needed. Pepper also has a soft side of her own, many of the objects she steals are often so she can give them to other rather than keeping them for no good reason.
