Well, ya girl is officially looking for a new job 🤪 (don’t worry, I didn’t rage quit, but I wish I did) I just realized that something has gotta give and it’s my job <3 here’s to a new chapter!

We’re days away from 2023 ending and I’m feeling so many things that I fear I can’t put into words the way I wish I could. I’ve been in this community for 10 months and it feels like just yesterday I was posting my very first Joel fic, BIAHD after watching TLOU and immersing myself in the Pedro fandom. 10 months of writing, of reflecting, of making friends, and losing some along the way. 10 months of the highs and lows that come with being deeply involved in a community.

Ever since I was little I always struggled to feel like I fit in somewhere. I never was a popular kid. I was the kid picked last for everything. The kid that would invite everyone to her birthday party only to be letdown when only a handful would show up. In highschool I was your stereo typical nerd. I played the violin, golf, and I was the horse girl. Better known to some as the “pizza faced horse girl.” I got bullied a lot. Felt like the outcast that no one ever wanted. I found myself feeling envious of the girls in highschool with boyfriends and dates to the school dances. I always found myself turning to the things I loved the most to feel like I was wanted. I read a lot, both books and fanfiction. I became an avid model horse collector and I felt like I was finally belonging somewhere. Going to college was probably one of the best decisions I ever made..and then Covid happened and I felt like I was starting from square one.

I have made so many friends on here. Both old and new, and I am forever grateful for every friendship I have here. I’m grateful that I can have a safe space to write the stories that speak to me and share them with all of you.

2023 has taught me some valuable lessons that I will be taking with me into 2024. Life is all about learning from your mistakes, holding yourself accountable and growing. And with that, life is also about the good times and all the accomplishments, big and small.

I am grateful to my fellow writers, readers and everyone in between that I share a space with, and even if we have never spoken, and only have seen eachother on the dash? I’m grateful for you as well.

My hope for 2024 is that we’re all kinder both to those we share a space with and to ourselves. Community spaces are so vital to the human experience and I hope that this one never dies off. I can’t wait to see what we all accomplish into the new year.

Thank you for your kindness, support, empathy, and love. Thank you for reminding me that I am wanted even during the times that I feel I am not. I appreciate every single one of you that are here.

Okay, now it’s time for me to get sappy..(when am I not?)

I recently hit 3.5k followers and I’m truly just in awe that so many of you have chosen to follow me, and read my stories, and get to know me through my writing 🥺 honestly, when I wrote my first fic last year I never expected anyone to read it, let alone ask me to write more. The amount of support and encouragement I have received has not gone unnoticed, and I appreciate every single one of you that are here 🤍

Everytime I hit one of these milestones the feeling becomes even more surreal. When I’m writing and sharing my stories, I’m being me. I’m sharing private bits about myself through my writing, and being vulnerable which is truly such a raw, and very human feeling. Out in the quote on quote ‘real world’ I’m just Gianna. But on here, I’m Gi. I’m tightjeansjavi.

From the very bottom of my heart I love you all so so much ♡

No one has the right to tell anyone how to exist in their own space.

So, I was so nervous about my appointment with my therapist today bc I knew I was going to bring up my sexuality to her, and I’m so proud of myself for being honest and communicating and being vulnerable with her 🥺

I officially came out to my therapist as bi

(And almost cried because it felt like a weight off my shoulders)

Work is v v slow (thank goodness) I’m about to head out to lunch, buttt I made it my New Year’s resolution to get to know people better on here!

I collect model horses and I paint/craft on occasions! (I’m also involved in other fandoms!)

I go horseback riding as well 🤍

lil Christmas haul 🤍 I was most excited for the Stanley thermos because the travel mug I currently use doesn’t seal all the way so I’ve spilled my coffee on myself more than enough times 😭 very grateful for everything my parents got me this year!

Hey, kind reminder to please please be kind to your writers. We post for free and have lives outside of our writing. Writers should not be forced to feel pressured just because their readers feel like they’re allowed to demand more from us. Writing takes time, energy and quite literally blood, sweat, and tears at times.

While sending your favorite writer a message asking when the next update can be expected or when they’ll be off hiatus, or whatever it may be can seem harmless, it often creates stress/pressure on the writer if they feel like they are being demanded to post.

For me personally, sometimes I feel guilty for only writing when I feel the passion for it, but I have to remind myself that at the end of the day, I’m writing for me. If it takes me weeks to post something, that’s okay! If I lose passion for a story and I decided to no longer pursue it? That’s okay!

So please, please, remember to be kind to your writers. Show them love. Reach out and see how they’re doing. Reblog, comment, show your support without demanding more content.

No one asked for a skincare routine, but y’all are getting one anyway because maybe this will help me stick with the routine bc I have definitely slacked off for the past like…6 months lol

So here is my current lineup!

I start with the Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser and this has worked SO well for me! I was using a $50 cleanser before but tbh..it was making my already sensitive skin breakout even more 😩

Next we have the serums! So, I swear by the cocokind vitamin c glow serum. A little bit goes a long way with this stuff

Then I really love how affordable The Ordinary serums are so I use their hyaluronic acid as a nightly treatment.

My last serum I use is also by The Ordinary and it is their Retinol in squalane every other night.

Depending on how dry my skin is, I will double up on moisturizer.

I really love Pacifica’s skincare line and I am almost out of their vegan ceramide moisturizer and it is sooo good.

I also love Peach & Lily for their matcha pudding moisturizer. It’s amazing on sensitive dry skin and especially now that we’re heading into the colder months!

Finally, I use the r.e.m beauty under eye cream every night

Also, I exfoliate whenever I feel like my skin is feeling particularly dry/clogged and I absolutely LOVE good molecules pineapple exfoliating powder

I am trying to remember to wear sunscreen everyday and I managed to reapply when needed to today and idc what it takes, but I’m sticking with it!! Sunscreen is soo important but I truly think it’s a sensory thing for me because I just don’t like the feeling of anything being on my face. I’ll hardly ever wear makeup bc sometimes the feeling is just too much for me to handle

also tomorrow I may end up being a bit emotional because it is the one year anniversary of my sweet baby Zoe crossing the rainbow bridge 🥺 tomorrow we’re going to go scatter her ashes at her favorite place in the whole world; the woods.

I’ve been thinking about her a lot lately, and I just miss her so much. She was such a special dog 🤍🖤 I love you so much Zo Zo.

I got my first pumpkin chai of the season and I am sooo ready for fall and spooky time!

Too bad I have to be stuck at work allll day when I could be at home writing in a cozy blanket with a candle going 😮‍💨

I’ll definitely be doing that tonight though!

Also, I posted quite a few more of my works on AO3 last night :)
