All of them!

Martha- born on the 25th of duober, 1072183 AD. she's in the football club! The music she likes is upbeat pop, and calming jazz and r&b. Artists like Emily king, hot freaks, melody gardot, stuff like that. Things that make her feel happy, nostalgic, and calm. She likes retro futurism, lots of short plastic dresses with weird shapes, arm cuff things, weird hairstyles, and little boots! That's only if she can be bothered though, most of the time she's in shorts or short skirts, camisoles, and her mother's jacket. If she's going somewhere really fancy she may wear something metallic Ritz, or this other thing I haven't named yet, or have but didn't write it down. In case of winter, she has a lot of sweaters. Doesn't stop wearing short though. Just longer socks.

Tammy- born December fifth, she's in band and the cheer squad, she likes HEAVY metal, all that electric stuff, rock, anything with a good drum beat or baseline. Stuff like baby metal, in flames, etc. As for her style, what do you get when you combine an ero-goth and a leather jacket wearer? Tammy! She does a lot of DIY, and wears shorts, band tees, weird fucked up shirt she cut a lot of holes in, training bras, flip flops, and a studded up leather jacket she's had since she was 11. She doesn't really wear trousers. Her and Martha bond over only wears shortsness. (She also has a rabbit hoodie, she goes to the roller rink in it so she and Martha can be 'the tortoise and the hare')

Jenny- born the seventh of duodecimber, she's in the technology club! She likes... I don't actually know how to explain it but gorillaz, geisha girls, TV girl, that kinda funky, down-beat stuff you'd expect to hear in a video game. For the apparel she has one pair of shoes and she doesn't wear others, she likes putting yarn in her hair, tight sweaters, tennis skirt, stretchy jeans and polos, if she has to get fancy, she and Thomas have matching red dresses. She also has a lot of shirts that are variations of 'women want me, fish fear me'

Thomas- 3rd of October, he's in the football and gardening clubs, eventually the football team. As for music I don't think I fully fleshed him out... but dance music like neneh cherry and gothy/electronica like mareux, he also canonically listens to the artist 'vallicent' who is, of course, made up. His favourite song is red sands. In terms of clothes, most of the time he'll wear like... very small crop tops. This specific juniper green shirt that like crosses over like... idk it would have to be visual. Small skirts, baggy trousers, cool jackets, (the reason he joined the football team) he also owns a lot of band shirts, his favourite is his Phobos and Deimos shirt bcs it's got a picture of mars and it's two moons, I think nearly everyone owns one of those. He also quite likes astral outback. If he's getting fancy he'll just wear the red dress he has that matches with Jenny.

James/genji- born the 11th of undeviginber. Weird month. He's in the football club, and he's not in the band but he does like weird instruments like theramins and stuff. Subsequently, he likes weird music that has theramins and stuff. Stuff like TV girl as well, and talking heads, and... Earthbound soundtrack? He also like classical music. As for what classical means to someone a million years in the future, idk. For clothes, he wears a lot of layers, baggy shirt, flannel, leather jacket, and then. Shorts. He wears cargo shorts. Jorts. 😔. He also had a wack ass mullet but Tammy fixed it.

Sahrah- born. I actually didn't write it down so. Idk I'm feelin an autumn birthday? Maybe the 17th of something? M. I also don't think I gave her any clubs. °\_( :/ )_/°. Maybe eventually. I feel like she'd be in the photography club or something. As for her music, also vallicent. And Xiro. More made up bands/artists. Goth stuff, synth wave, also she does enjoy some softer stuff, easier on the ears. For her clothes, what are you supposed to do when you have white hair and blue skin? Be a goth! There's no other option. It is, however, quite hard to find clothes that accomadate six arms, so unless she's going somewhere she'll just wear some baggy trousers and a bra. If it gets cold, she has a poncho. But when she is going somewhere she wears very little in the way of shirts, or at least she does now, and she has a nice tight maxi skirt. She also has 'slug boots' which are boots with two spikes, that she stuck little balls on so they look like antennae. She also wears a lot of veils, sporty the... well I haven't decided what it's called but it's likely gonna be under 'frill'. She owns a lot of off shoulder stuff cuz. Yknow. Arms.

Aled- born 17th tredecimber, he's in the football and poetry club. I don't think. I gave him any sense of music. Idk he listens to something °\_( :\ )_/° bound to. In terms of clothes he has a wool lined denim jacket that he constantly wears. And camp trousers. And like, vests. He wears vests. He also wears a little headband :)

Georgie- born vigiduober 10th, she's in the tennis club, the poetry club, and she's in band, plays the tuba! As for music she likes astruca pop, classical, and the upbeat kind of goth like strawberry switchblade. She wears mostly ripped baggy jeans and tiny shirts, I don't think I've drawn her enough times to get a full gauge on her style. There's a lot of black and cobwebs though.

Dane- born the 1st of quinquber, he's. Still not really fleshed out. Tennis club, gardening club, whatever. Music I... didn't flesh out. However I now know his last name is newton! Huzzah! I've drawn him like once, and he wears fancy nail polish and sweaters. That's. That's all I've got.

decided to say fuck it and type this idea out. all my ramblings are below the cut

-Sam and Jess are big cat keepers. At first glance it seems like they hate each other, but they’re actually best friends. They both take their jobs really seriously and have a deep respect for the cats and are careful around them, but they also have close bonds with them and have a lot of trust that the cats won’t hurt them. Peaches is Jess’ favorite while Sam is besties with the tigers.

-Jacob and Eli work with the mammals in the North America section. Jacob’s focus is on the predators (Grizzly and polar bears, wolves, badgers, foxes, etc.) while Eli is on the others (moose, reindeer/elk, beavers, bats, river otters, bison, etc.). Cheeseburger is obviously the star of the North America section.

-Grace and Mary May are also mammal keepers but they work in the African section (so elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, etc.). They don’t have specialties in the way Eli and Jacob do; they split the work evenly based on what needs to be done.

-Nick and Kim are bird keepers together (everything from parrots and toucans to flamingoes and ostriches to hawks and eagles). They met at work and just immediately hit it off, and they’ve been together ever since.

-John and Joseph are both reptile keepers. John works in the actual reptile house with the snakes and smaller lizards. He loves the snakes and is really passionate about showing people they don’t deserve the bad reputation they’ve got. Joseph works with the bigger reptiles around the zoo (crocodiles, alligators, tortoises, and komodo dragons). The two of them are pretty flexible and help each other out pretty often, though. It’s not unusual to find John with the crocs or Joseph with the snakes.

-Hurk and Adelaide are primate keepers (chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans, lemurs, etc.). I don’t think I need to elaborate on this one it just fits the vibe, you know?

-Sharky and Joey are the educators/tour guides. They’re like the super funny unexpected bestie combo of chaotic himbo and badass bisexual. Classes that take field trips to the zoo usually get divided up in half and split between the two of them and there is ALWAYS some kind of competition that Sharky and Joey start between their groups. 

-Earl is the head zookeeper. He trusts his keepers a lot and mostly just tries to provide support where they need it and do damage control when necessary.

-Virgil is the zoo’s owner, but he’s like an involved and hands on owner to the point he’s also just kind of become the curator. He likes knowing his employees and keeping up with how the animals are doing.

-Dutch is the zoo’s carpenter. He designs, builds, and maintains the habitats including all of the climbing structures, shelters, and large enrichment toys in them.

-Faith is the zoo’s botanist. She oversees all of the foliage in the habitats to make sure they’re safe and beneficial to the animals. She also maintains the butterfly garden and the greenhouse where they grow certain foods right there for the animals. Xander is supposed to be her intern but he’s always running off to see Adelaide.

-Staci is also an intern. He got handed off to Jacob basically and Jacob has begrudgingly come to like him. One time Staci stood too close to the fence of the wolf enclosure and had the back pocket of his pants ripped off when one of them tried to bite him on the ass. Jacob laughed so loud that people could hear him halfway across the zoo.

-Jerome is the head vet (I know Dr. Lindsey and Dr. Perkins are right there but consider: I don’t give a shit about them). Wheaty and Tracey are vet techs.

-Tammy is in charge of PR and marketing. And she’s a mega bitch about it, too. The no fun police, if you will.

-Other animals/sections are taken care of by minor/side characters like Merle, Zip, Wade and Dave, etc.

Bonus: -Sam has a massive crush on Joey and does not at all realize it is mutual. She’s constantly trying to show off for Joey. Joey has a lot of fun teasing her and flirting with her to watch her get all flustered. Sharky and Jess are secretly trying to team up to get them together. Less secretly are the children on tours for their field trip who see them flirt and yell shit like “Do you like like her?” all the time. That’s when it’s Joey’s turn to get flustered. -Boomer is the emotional support/companion dog for the cheetah. (For anyone who is unaware, cheetahs are prone to anxiety, so zoos often pair them up with a dog to provide support for them). -The three Inside Eden’s Gate friends (Alex, Hannah, & Sara) are general interns who help the keepers on a rotation basis. They have their favorite rotation slots, though. Hannah’s is with Jess and Sam with the big cats, Sara’s is the avians with the Ryes, and Alex’s is the Africa section with Mary May and Grace because he loves the gentle giants. -The Hope County Zoo is non-profit and very focused on conservation, education, and rehabilitation. The animals they have are all rescues that cannot be released back into the wild, rescues that will eventually be released back into the wild, or part of important breeding programs for vulnerable and endangered species.

Biden extended the federal eviction moratorium: Until June 30. That's when Washington state's and Seattle's newly extended moratoriums will end, too.

The Seattle City Council voted unanimously to grant tenants a right to counsel: The council voted 9-0 to grant Seattle tenants facing eviction a right to free legal representation. Councilmember Kshama Sawant brought forward the legislation, which was co-sponsored by Councilmembers Andrew Lewis and Tammy Morales. With the passage of this eviction protection, Seattle joins cities like New York, San Francisco, and Philadelphia that already have right-to-counsel laws in place. This law is estimated to cost the city around $750,000 annually. Currently, Seattle pays over $300,000 for eviction-related legal services a year.

The council was originally supposed to vote on the bill two weeks ago, but Councilmember Alex Pedersen moved to delay the vote after Mayor Jenny Durkan extended Seattle's eviction moratorium. Pedersen wanted to take more time considering the legislation, which he voted against in Sawant's Sustainability & Renters' Rights Committee. During those two weeks, council members cooked up some amendments to make the legislation "stronger" against legal challenges. The most significant change was that Council President Lorena Gonzalez added an amendment so tenants facing eviction would need to self-certify that they were "indigent" or in need of counsel. Sawant claimed this was a means test, but the rest of the council opposed that characterization. Gonzalez's amendment passed 8-1 with Sawant voting no.
