Imagine your f/o helping you out when you when you feel sick. Whether you're loving having them at your beck and call or are, like, really embarrassed about the whole thing, your f/o is there for you.

Even if they're a bit of a jerk about it. They might be hiding a smile when you sit up in bed with your hair all messed up, might poke fun at the way you have to take your pills with a whole jug of water. And since you let that mug of tea that they so lovingly prepared for you go all cold, they might tilt it ever-so-slightly over your head with the biggest grin on their face until you notice. Today hasn't been the best! My car's brake line has started to seriously leak, so that is in for repair. Stopped for tea and a snack on the walk back from the shop and they gave me the wrong cookie. Get home and my shower is leaking as well; I actually have a spare part that I think I need, but the hex socket screw is stripped so I just have to deal with the constant dripping until I can figure that out. 30min walk to the hardware store, but I have a phone meeting around then

#today was a lot #but it'll all be fine #i just will figure out the shower another day #put a bucket under the tap to water plants with so it doesn't go to waste #instead of cooking I'm just going to order food since I've lost all motivation #haha

oh my god. absolutely tragic. and confusing as hell.

#someone put a lot of effort into cleaning our bong properly + put fresh water in #bottled ofc and taken out of our drinking water stockpile. because my ocd has won and I'm unable to drink anything from the tap.#or smoke apparently #which isn't great during summer with only a window ac in the living room to keep us from boiling alive #I'm getting off track.#the screen in my bowl appears to have spontaneously disintegrated #and dumped a bunch of ash + bud into the water #it went like. fine > very clogged for a few seconds > suddenly no resistance #and I pulled up my phone's flashlight and it's just. gone???#theres no debris in the water and my percs would have caught anything I could potentially have inhaled #and it's just not in my bowl. its fucking GONE.#I'm baffled and feeling sorry for whoever goes to use it tomorrow and had to clean it AGAIN #edit. oh my god. I'm a fucking fool. I didn't realize the bowl was clean as well and dumped the screen out when I ashed my first bowl #then packed another without noticing it wasnt in there #brb. this is humiliating.

#so confused about the tap water controversy #the quality of your tap water depends so specifically on where you’re from #I’m from Colorado and I could drink from the sink fine (though I liked to add ice)#now that I live in Florida it’s not as good quality and in some places it’s downright bad #so it’s filtered or bottled only #congrats Niko with having spring water on tap #it’s not the same everywhere #it’s fine

do you guys ever have nightmares about getting a fish tank only for the fish to die within the day you get it due to some really horrible and also easy to avoid errors?

#fishkeeping brain rot #literally i want a betta so badly #but im so scared i won't take care of it properly and it will die almost instantly #even if i follow everything correctly including tank set up and cycling and filtration and heating #probably bc childhood me had fish and couldn't take care of them properly #+ lack of parental supervision ++ living in a country with rlly bad animal welfare #like once as a kid i won a goldfish at a carnival thing #and took it home #and my siblings used to have fish and would always do water changes with bottled water (which wasn't chlorinated) and they wouldn't die #then my dad got pissed and said tap water was perfectly fine for animals (our tap water wasn't considered safe for human consumption btw)#and i believed him and used that #cuz i literally got the fish in a bag and used an old tank we had at home #filled it with tap water and acclimated the fish #and yeah it was dead the next morning #also he made me start giving tap water instead of bottled water to my pet hamster and then it later died of cancer #and im so convinced the tap water might have had carcinogens in it #bc it definitely had heavy metals and coal-associated waste in it #anyways goofy tags rant is done #fishkeeping #fishblr

My puppy likes to do what I call “bobbing for apples.” They’re not apples, they’re ice cubes that I place in her water dish because she loves cold water and ice

She’ll literally stick her mouth and nose under the water (she holds her breath ofc she’s a water dog she knows the drill) to get her lil teeth around an ice cube and pull it out so she can chew on it. As you can imagine, her glorious Doodle beard and mustache get drenched from this and spill water everywhere

I also let her drink from my cup, because as a dog person I don’t care for your mortal hygiene standards, I only care for my little pupper who likes to feel like a person who gets to drink people water

Anyway I offered her my bedtime ice water without considering that she’d go bobbing for apples, and here I am a few minutes later drenched in freezing beard water. Mistakes were made. They will be made again the next time she asks for a drink of my water.

Obviously not right now because I have Shit To Do; but maybe during the summer after I’ve moved

#alcohol mention #Apparently you can make mead out of honey and I love honey so of course I have to try it #I want to make more food from scratch so I can reduce my plastic consumption #because my ten-year goal is to convert to a completely anticapitalist zero-waste lifestyle #Just for me… I don’t put pressure on anyone to do the same unless they’re well-off and being ridiculous about their consumption #Except for maybe encouraging people to switch to reusable water bottles if they’re in an area where the tap water is potable #(like where I live)#or flaunting my canvas shopping bag that I got for 5 dollars at a hardware store whenever possible #Okay I guess I do push people a little bit #But it’s all reasonable things directed at people I know are physically mentally and financially able to do those things #or I’ll just casually mention microplastics and pollution in conversation as a “fun fact”#But I’m not ridiculous about it with anyone but myself #I hold myself to some weird standards that I don’t hold others to and I’m fine with it #Obviously it’s the corporations’ faults that everything is the way it is and no single person can make a huge difference #But if everyone does one thing to help the planet; then it might buy us some time to change the system #There is also the issue of supply and demand; if more people reduce plastic intake then less plastic will be produced #But again: it’s very hard to be ethical in this society. EVERYTHING enjoyable is packaged in plastic and it sucks #(ok not literally everything but consider: most candy is wrapped in plastic and clothes have plastic tags and chips are in plastic #sushi is in plastic containers and meat is in shrink wrap or styrofoam and most modern chewing gum is a byproduct of vinyl #toys are packaged in plastic etc. etc.)
