so I realized that around this time of the year is already past my 1 year anniversary of being hyperfixated on Rob?? time flies

this is the timeline of how it happened according to some vague memories:

1. i happen to see some random video of The Rerun on like, YouTube I think

2. me: hmm i think that one eyed guy is giving some real gender envy– wait. oh no. its happening. he's the new Chosen One, isn't he

3. im not hyperfixated im not hyperfixated im not–

4. I AM SO FUCKING HYPERFIXATED I LOVE ROB FROM TAWOG HE MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME!!!!!!

5. rob is a major part of my life and my headspace now. i couldn't stop if I tried, because some part of my brain views him as an actual close friend, and therefore abandoning this hyperfixation would feel extremely cruel. i would never do that to him and therefore he will be my imaginary bestie/adoptive son forever. i will never grow out of it. i am perfectly okay with that

Been working on this ALL day yesterday and did the finishing touches today but cfghjkl it's finally finished!!! ;V; AAAA Echo made the og sketch, I did everything else!! (lining, coloring, ect.) it's of our two main AU's collidin' :P My AU (left side) is obviously GumRob meeting Echo's (right side) which, I should specify; is GumDog. Rob is only there 'cause.. well idk.. chaos I guess LMAO My Gum is holding Kevin, whom he thought was Lilith (cause those two like to cause chaos with both dimensions tee hee.) For those unfamiliar with my AU, Cosette is the girl hiding behind Rob. Elliot is the one in his arms. The grey cat is Zipper and the green one is Caspian. Lilith (the one smiling) is Darwin's kid. As I said, the kid in my Gum's arms - is Kevin. Which is one of GumDog's kids in Echo's AU lol which speaking of; For Echo's which no one knows because they don't post; the lollipop kid in Gum's arms is Leon and the little koala plush is Mazie. GumDog have 2 more kids, they just weren't in the sketch, just like how the twins weren't added here either lol ~ I had a lot of fun doing this, even if making it show accurate takes.. a while, it's worth it! (I did my best to make it accurate to the show hh) asdfghjkl;'

Rob and Penny are super friends. Penny even considers Rob like a brother and Polly loves Rob very much too. Penny helped him cut his hair in a way that covered the static on his cheeks (it worked amazingly, but he's really uncomfortable with the hair on his face)

he is trying to find a way to make a vaccine for those infected (The apocalypse is about the void) and wants to try to save everyone

Rob, during the time he stayed with the survivors (including Gumball), ended up falling in love with Gumball, Which is sad because Gumball thinks Rob is one of those to blame for the apocalypse...

He tries his best to save and find some survivors, infected or not. However, most people were afraid of Rob being another infected person or a zombie because of the glitches and static, so Rob became very insecure and even started hiding the static on his body.

One of my favorite subtle cosmic horror elements of The Amazing World of Gumball is that secondary characters are terrified of being boring.  It sticks out, because it'd be more expected for kids to worry that they're "annoying" or "not cool"... boring is an odd choice of descriptor.

In The Storm, Carmen temporarily breaks up with Alan because she fears their "perfect" love is becoming boring.  In The Colossus, Hector is sent over the edge by Gumball telling him he's boring.  Clayton admits his reason for habitual lying is because he's a loser, and all of his true stories aren't interesting.   Tobias feels like he should be entitled to a sidekick and exciting adventures, because he's rich and colorful and he's earned them, and yet his life is mundane.

It's not like they know what happens to you if you're too boring

But maybe they've got a sense of it in the back of their heads.
