J20171012-0023—Ericameria cuneata—RPBG—DxO by John Rusk Via Flickr: Ericameria cuneata—rock goldenbush. Grows along both slopes of the Sierra Nevada from Sierra County southward, the Transverse Ranges, the Desert Mountains, the Peninsular Ranges into Baja California, and Eastward to Nevada and New Mexico. In habitat, it is almost always found in fissures in granite outcrops. This late-season bloomer is, thus, a good plant for rock gardens and between slabs in garden walls made of native stone. Photographed at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA
