...it's Asexuality Awareness week again! I thought I'd share a story (two stories, actually) about my first experience with Ace Awareness week two years ago. When I was in middle school, I had a pretty rough time with crushes. I got way more attached than most people, but for some reason I didn't want to kiss the people I was interested in, or have sex with them. It was less revulsion, and more that I couldn't picture it, or even want to. Then came October 20, 2013. The lovely, lovely fanfic writer Teaandcharcoal (teaandcharcoalforbreakfast on FF.net) posted a story titled Ace of Hearts, in which the main character realizes and comes to terms with his sexuality. I myself recognized his feelings as being similar to my own, to the point where I felt shell shocked. And that's how I found out that I was absurdly ace. :D
