Adopted into the prestigious ZEROBASEONE family, Ricky is forced into a death game where he must kill his eight other siblings and become the heir to the estate, or die trying. As his best friend Seungeon becomes a hostage to force him to play, another voice within him calls for blood, and if he is to survive, he may just have to give into his violent desires. (or, Ricky must choose between his love for his siblings or his life, and the choices tear him apart as he tries to find a way to rescue both.)

But there's a new conspiracy he's been assigned to look into—a bodysnatcher possessing people at an American high school—and the worst part is? He's got a partner. Zhang Hao is everything Gunwook despises—a dreamer, an agent with skills on-par with Gunwook, and actually able to socialize. Now Gunwook has to somehow save the world by entering high school (even though he's nineteen), figuring out how to socialize, and also, getting along with Hao. And did he mention the whole bodysnatching mission part? (or; Gunwook and Hao, two secret agents, have to go undercover at a high school and learn along the way how to love.)

Pokeshipping Week 2018

Day 7: "I love you but we can't be together" (optional theme)

Whelp, I'm late again.

I tweaked the theme out a bit for this one. It's kind of a "prequel" of the other fic I wrote for Day 4 but it's not necessary to read both fics to be able to follow.

"Ash, I love you and all, but we can't be seen together. Why don't you invite Brock? He'd jump at chance to see a bunch of pretty girls sing and dance on stage."

From the other end of the line, she can hear Ash whine.

"And watch him drool all over the floor and make a fool of himself? No way. Come on, Mist. Pleaaaase. It would be a lot more fun if you're there with me. She even has VIP seating reserved for us."

Misty groans. Sure, being spotted together at this early stage of their careers and relationship is risky, but mostly, Misty just doesn't want to go.

She has a lot of work to do at the gym, and while Pokémon Showcases are great and all, this one in particular isn't very appealing when one of the performers happens to be the same person Misty's boyfriend shared his first kiss with. She also happens to be the first girlfriend he ever had (Misty following not too long after)

To be clear, it's not like Misty hates Serena. She, in fact, really likes her. But she's tired of seeing and hearing about Ash and Serena's former relationship almost any time either of one them are doing interviews.

They split over a year ago yet even now the nature of their relationship is still speculated and talked about in gossip-based "news" outlets and channels. There's still an unhealthy obsession with the former power couple, and it's no secret that many fans want to see them get back together.

It's like living in the shadow of their relationship, and Misty is more than a bit aggravated by it.

She shakes her head as if to shake off all the negativity inside her.

If Ash can maintain a friendly relationship with his ex-girlfriend then there's no reason Misty can't show that level of maturity herself.

Besides, she does need a break. Mostly, she just wants to see Ash.

"Ugh. Fine. I'll go. But Ash?"

"Yes babe?"

"You owe me one. "

She can already picture the grin that's probably stretching his mouth.

"When don't I?"

Misty frowns up at what Ash considers a disguise. "Switching hats isn't going to make you unrecognizable. Neither is that stupid uni-brow that you drew in with a sharpie. At least I actually tried."

The brown wig she's wearing is itchy and makes her look even paler, but so far no one has recognized her.

"You look good as brunette," he says, running his fingers through a strand of hair, which feels kind of off considering it's not really her hair he's touching. "I don't know about all this makeup, though."

"Violet's doing. I tried doing a winged liner but ended up with what looked like a toddler's scribble."

They make their way to the arena, able to forego the long lines and avoid being detected as Serena's team has ensured their experience is as discreet and comfortable as possible. Which is, well, really considerate of her.

They're in seats overlooking the crowd and stage, and the other handful of people seated in this section probably paid a good amount of money to be here.

The crowd goes wild as the first team takes the stage, going straight into their routine after a brief introduction. The performances seem to get better and better each time another act comes on, and when Serena, a crowd favorite, finally appears on stage, Misty is enchanted along with the rest of the audience.

She really is exceptionally good at what she does and there's no mystery as to why Ash would fall for her, regardless of how brief their romance lasted. Serena is beautiful and talented and a genuinely kind and sweet person, with a little bit of fire in her as well.

Strangely, Misty doesn't feel any jealousy while watching her. Strangely, she's actually glad that Ash's first and former girlfriend is amazing in every way. Ash has always deserved the best kinds of people in his life.

Ash nudges her arm and when she shifts her attention from the performance to his face, she sees that there's a smirk on it. "Careful now. Don't fall in love with her and leave me for her."

Misty snorts. Oh yeah. Serena is bi, and apparently has previously expressed that she has a bit of a crush on the "world's greatest beauty," referring to none other than Misty herself.

"Sure, if I was actually into girls I might just would. Instead I'm stuck with you."

Stuck with this beautiful, brash and brave dork.

Ash laughs, kissing her hand. The simple act is enough to warm her cheeks.

Now that he's got her attention, he leans in as if to kiss her, which is exactly what he intends to do.

"Not in public!"

"The public is too busy watching something else right now."

One of the surprising things Misty learned about Ash since they started dating is that Ash really, really likes kissing. He tries to do so every chance that he can get. Not only does he enjoy it so much, he's great at it. We're talking amazing. The thought of it alone makes Misty's lips crave his.

So she throws caution to the wind and seals the space between them.

It's an act of mild carelessness that she'll later go on to regret as seconds later a picture of them kissing is leaked online and becomes viral.

But Misty doesn't know that at the moment. Right now, Misty is swimming in bliss.
