Anyways, had a try on giving Penny a Team Star outfit very Eeveelutions themed, clearly. Complete with LED masks, yay :D

Yeah, I gave her a car too (her Starmobile is a bit smaller than the others though but the platform she stands on is wider) fitted with rhythm game pads

The moment I saw the clip of Penny shredding the dance floor in the DLC's epilogue, my immediate thought "Yep, this nerd goes to the arcade and plays every single rhythm game available"

I also just find it funny at the thought where in the middle of the Cassiopeia fight she'll just pause the battle and forces the player to play a rhythm game with her lmao (she for sure uses her own theme as the music for rhythm game match)

Okay, but, like, Penny was definitely using the Cassiopeia pseudonym way before Team Star. Like, that's for sure an old forum handle she picked out when she was, like, 11 that just stuck.

i feel like people who hate on team star with the whole “ boo boo im a lonely teenager who was bullied” thing have never been bullied and seen the people who did those awful things to you just being able to walk away with no consequences and it shows

And finally to wrap up this storyline, they recognised that the deeply traumatized kid who started Team Star is very talented and desperately in need of some gentle but firm guidance. No significant punishment, instead a helping hand in the right direction and watching over her to make sure she's doing okay.

I adore S and V's story arcs and characters so much, don't get me wrong, but some of their "surprises" kind of...fell flat?

Penny being Cassiopeia was a twist that was kind of obvious from the start. I honestly hoped it was Clavell in the fake-out since Penny seemed too predictable lol

Koraidon and Miraidon being Paradox Cyclizar was also another one, we could already tell from the "bike lizard" design. Would probably have worked better if Cyclizar had been introduced first.

And the Elite Four introducing themselves early on kind of spoiled the big reveal, considering they're comprised of the front desk interviewer, your art teacher, the most ordinary-looking Gym Leader, AND A LITERAL TODDLER

I'm not sure what "big reveal" you're talking about regarding the Elite Four, but yeah, the thing with Team Star could definitely have been handled better.

The moment Penny said "I'm good with hacking and stuff" I was like "Penny... why did you say that? Now I KNOW you're Cassiopeia!"

As for the Koraidon/Cyclizar/Miraidon thing... eh, I'd argue with that they were mostly setting up for a "You know they're related, but HOW are they related?" twist. Personally, I was actually pleasantly surprised to learn that Koraidon and Miraidon are probably the most "ordinary" of the boxart Legendaries we've had so far.

They're not gods, they're not mythical guardians, they're not even magical creatures. They're just the ancient ancestor and futuristic descendant of a common Pokemon in the modern day, their main distinction being that they're remarkably powerful compared to their progeny/predecessor. There's even more than one instance of them!
