We get asked all the time if appendix carry is comfortable with appendix holsters. This is going to depend on a few things: your body type, your size of firearm, and the type of holster you use. If you're carrying something small like a Shield or Glock 43, gun size won't be an issue. If it's an FNX 45 with a threaded barrel and Surefire X300 Ultra... that's a different story. Running a transition drill. Targets were about 10 yards away, 4 yards apart, 3/4 IPSC @rsrsteel. 2.81 with a level two holster is not bad. This is a great drill to build consistent target transitions, and to eliminate as much "dead space/time" in-between each target as possible. What you don't want is long delays for each transition. Drills like this can help your efficiency... and efficiency is key for effective shooting. This isn't my fastest time on this drill with my Sidecar, but it's my consistent time and I'm keeping my hits in the A zone from 5 yards. Which is easy even at this speed. This is NOT a good defensive drill. It's merely a frugal way to get in a draw, sight acquisition, trigger press, reload, re-acquisition, and another trigger press. Most sponsored shooters do this drill with competition holsters in 2 seconds and less. So a 2.25 from concealment isn't bad. Running an explosive movement audible command drill. This is NOT meant to be a self defense drill. Just a drill to train various fundamentals: explosive movement, sight alignment, muzzle control, audible command recognition, controlled breathing, and other things. Drills like these are cool because they're extremely frugal (You don't shoot a lot), and they get your heart rate up nice and quick.
