the basic thing you have to understand with shana is this: he puts on facade after facade after facade. he knows exactly how much affection different people tolerate or want or what type they prefer. if there’s someone he wants to be liked by, he’s going to treat them exactly how they want it. shana is my most people-understanding character, ollie comes right after.

but. ok. another character of mine who doesn’t have any friends. but while ven has like. 1 or 2 people she genuinely cares about, shana doesn’t consider anyone a genuine friend. the closest thing he has to that are like. business partners. colleagues.

he has no family (anymore) besides an older sister, and their relationship is absolutely terrible. this post is going to be long as hell and it doesn’t really relate to the actual question, so i’m not going to elaborate on that here. i can make a seperate post and tag you if you want to tho. anyways. if he ever hugs her, it’s only because she despises it. any compliments are thinly veiled insults or even threats.

he has no romantic partners either. well, no partners HE loves. they love him. if he has a partner, it’s because it’s beneficial for one of his many schemes. and how does he treat them? i’m just gonna refer to the first thing i wrote here. if they’re not useful to him anymore, he usually drops them immediately. normally he’s even pretty amicable during the breakup, if they don’t cry after/annoy him too much. to 95% of sexual partners the same things can be applied; shana is demisexual and only actually attracted to a tiny number of people.

🍊What is your OC’s favourite meal? Snack? Dessert? Drink? Any reasons behind this besides liking how it tastes?

shana is one of those super healthy people. like if he’s at a company dinner or a similar situation he’ll eat whatever to fit in, but he genuinely only picks out stuff that is healthy in private. while he’s a doctor, i don’t think it’s because of that. he’s just someone who would be absolutely strict on himself like that. he doesn’t drink any alcohol though, even in the company dinner situation. obviously because 1) it’s bad for you and 2) he’s terribly afraid of losing control of himself should he get too drunk. (if anyone comments on why he is fat when he eats so healthy i’m going to shoot block you :])

🍇 Day or night? Sun or Rain? Summer or Winter?

he doesn’t care too much about the time of day honestly, what’s most convenient to him differs from situation to situation.

shana is someone who obsessively checks the weather forecast every day and especially before important events. i think he’d prefer sun purely because rain has the chance to surprise him and ruin his plans for the day.

he definitely prefers summer, because there’s just a lot more shit to do and people around. being around people is one of the things most important to shana; he’s straight up terrified of being all alone.

🌸 What does your OC’s voice sound like? Their laugh? Are they good at singing? Do they have an accent?

his voice is probably very deep because. most tall people have a deep voice and shana is like 10 ft tall lol. but again. so many facades. the different tones his voice can have is honestly insane. his laugh when he pretends to be someone he’s not might sound light and charming and friendly, but when his masks are down it turns into a cruel, sadistic and mocking sneer. and he’s uhm. not good at singing. but it’s not like anyone no one would ever know because if someone knows that he’s terrible at something, doesn’t matter how minor it is, he gets PISSED.

❌ What kind of things would end any relationship for them? Is there any history behind why these things bother them? Could they ever take someone back despite this? If so or if not, why?

ollie is very forgiving and understanding to the people he loves, there’s not much someone can do that makes them stop being loved by him. even if they leave him for multiple years like a certain someone :) even when his daughter sennah became a paladin of sarenrae, killed several of her siblings and is now trying to kill him.

💿 How easy is it to shock your OC? To confuse them? To lie to them, to manipulate them? How are they with feelings of trust? Can your OC be trusted?

like i said, oleander understands people real good, therefore he sees through almost any lies (he always suspected cami was lying about the amulet, he just waited for her to want to talk to him about it) and he is usually the one doing the manipulating, or the corrupting, if you want to describe it more accurately for ollie. if you know that he likes you, you can very much trust him with anything, but it’s very dangerous to do so in any other case lmao.

🔮 Star gazing or cloud watching? Hand-holding or snuggles? Early mornings or late nights?

cloud watching, i don’t know why honestly he just strikes me as a cloud watcher lol

i think he doesn’t have a preference when it comes to hand-holding or snuggling, he’d just do whatever camellia wants at the moment. he’s just happy to be there

early mornings, he is a massive morning person and always gets up when it’s still dark

i think he’d say it’s his tenacity and devotion to everything he does, but i think the majority of people think it’s his kindness. i’d say camellia specifically loves how he is able understand her completely.

when ven was a teen, she wanted to be something like a circus performer or theater actress. she kind of fulfilled that dream, she just did it on the streets all alone for pennies lol. she never was too good at it and didn’t really care that it didn’t actually happen.

author's note: IGNIS!!! I love this man so much, and I've been craving to write something for him. But this time I wanted to write something more on the darker side! The song is "Ven Aqui" by Los Bunkers if you're curious, it just struck some inspiration for me especially from the lyrics teehee. I love Latino rock so much I swear. Oh and, the song is in Spanish! So, I will provide the original and translated lyrics.

"What in the Astrals have you done to me?" Ignis whispered to himself, standing in the shadows of your bedroom. He almost felt guilty, maybe even disgusted with himself with what he's doing.

He was supposed to be a gentleman. A man of integrity. And yet, he was – in your room in the middle of the night.

He kept saying to himself it's for your own good. To keep you safe as you slept. To take care of you in his own way.

And on those rare nights, to carefully tuck you in properly when you didn't.

But oh gods, you looked absolutely divine with how the moon lit up your face through the window as you slept soundly. He wanted to be close to you so badly again.

The last time he got close to you, was blissful to him as much as he hated to admit it. He could hear the small breaths you took, the rise-and-fall of your chest, everything. And it drove him wild inside.

However, this night felt... different. The reason being the way he was fighting the idea to reach over and touch your face. Just for a moment.

And he was losing.

Ignis soon stepped out of the shadows, ensuring his footsteps would not disturb your slumber. As much as he'd love to see you awake, you'd probably not enjoy the sight of someone watching you sleep.

Approaching your bedside, he squatted down before sighing softly. '...Bloody gorgeous,' he thought to himself. And eventually, he couldn't help it anymore and took off one of his gloves.

He could no longer resist the feeling.

And gods, did Ignis felt like he was drunk the moment his hand grazed your cheek softly.

Your skin felt silky under his fingertips. They felt... perfect. Just for him. He could feel your warmth breath on his hand as you slept as he silently watched the gentle rise and fall of your body.

And gods, he wanted more. So badly. But not here, not now. Despite him already committed such a huge violation in privacy, Ignis desperately wanted to cling onto some semblance of respect.

So, he stepped away, feeling like he was on a high and clinging onto to that feeling of warmth he had a sneak peak of. It was time for him to depart, unfortunately. Time is a cruel man that seems to go by faster when you're in bliss, it seems.

But oh, he could wait. He had all of the time in the world. It was just a matter of time until the day where you would be exactly where he wanted. Where you belonged—in his arms.

Ok ok, so I have a (possibly bad) theory that isn’t really a theory but more my brain trying to figure stuff out

So, ever since Kingdom Hearts III, I’ve kinda been wondering, in the back of my messy, messy mind, why Ephemera helped (? I’m guessing he was the one leading the fallen kids, at least) Sora at the Keyblade Graveyard.

I mean, I get why, big heartless storm, xehanort being xehanort, xehanort being Ephemera’s descendent (that was kinda confirmed right? I don’t remember for sure) which kinda makes him his responsibility a bit, yada yada yada.

It’s more like, why didn’t he do it before. Like, it’s not the first confrontation against old man Xehanort chronogically in the series. Why didn’t Ephemera help at the confrontation at the end of BBS? I mean, Ven was his friend, surely he’d want to help him not, you know, die or even just get turned into a weapon of mass destruction? (I gotta mention: Vanitas gets helped by the fallen kids’ keyblades during that confrontation iirc, so was that because of the darkness? Because he used to be part Ventus so he kinda counts as a union leader? Why wasn’t Ven helped by the keyblades then? Did Ephemera try to help Ven but accidentally chose the wrong one (oopsie teehee, oh well, better luck next time)? Anyways that’s weird and has always bothered me ever since I knew whose keyblades those were)

One of the explanations I can see for Ephemera no helping then is that Xigbar was running interference or something. I guess he didn’t interfere in KH III because of the Book of Prophecies or something, idk. Maybe Ephemera also didn’t act because of something in the Book of Prophecies, idk, I’m just trying to find some explanations

But yeah, anyways, my bad theory

It came to me, as I was eating tortellini in the dark at 11:30 PM after taking a longer-than-planned 5 hours nap, what if… Sora was Ephemera’s reincarnation? Ok ok that’s a really shaky theory, I’ll admit it, but I don’t control was goes on in that brain (ahah, Brain) of mine

In any case, back to what I was saying, tortellini, 5 hour nap, Sora is maybe Ephemera’s reincarnation, ok, right, yes, back on track. So, Ephemera totally, very definitely died, right? It’s been like, a couple of centuries most likely, so he is either super dead, some kind of ghost just haunting the Keyblade Graveyard, or he’s the world’s oldest grandpa. From what we’ve seen in khux, when someone dies (or at least a keyblade wielder) for realsies (kingdom hearts death tends to be, ha, ephemeral), they either become a dream eater or they go in the reincarnation cycle or whatever (from what I remember at least, it’s been a minute). So either Ephemera turned into a cute colourful animal that 100% deserves a pet, or he went on to reincarnate, ya know?

(He could have also said ‘fuck you rules of the universe, I never liked you anyways’ and created a third option for himself out of sheer will. If anyone could, it would be him)

But yeah anyways, that could explain why he only shows up, cool red scarf swaying in the wind anime style, to Sora. Like, maybe a small tiny part of his soul (heart?) remained

It could also explain why Sora’s heart healed Ven’s at the beginning of BBS. There’s the reason that Sora’s heart was a newborn one of course, but if he was Ephemera’s reincarnation, then it’s not hard to believe that he would be drawn in by Ven’s presence.

Also, Ephemera has an association with the color red due to his scarf. You know who else is usually associated with red? Sora (and Lea, whose entire existence is red, but this ain’t about him)

(I have also thought of the possibility that Sora is maybe Ephemera’s descendant instead, but that would mean that he’d be related to Xehanort which is wild, but I do think that that theory is even more shaky than the reincarnation one. Tbh, I think that Riku being Ephemera’s descendant could be more likely, which, again, would make him related to old man Xehanort. Omg i just had an idea for an AU where Riku is actually Xehanort’s son/grandson, but that’s a story for another day i guess)

So, yeah, here’s my bad and unlikely theory. This is my first time making a post of this kind and I still don’t know how tumblr works so I’m very sorry if this looks like an incomprehensible mess. Thanks for reading though :)
