hello, everyone! I wanted to make a more formal introduction post!

about me: my name is juno, i use they/she pronouns and i am twenty-one years old. i am a sociology major and have a fondness for writing, especially whenever it comes to dissecting media. at heart, i am a poet so even my analysis might contain some sort of little grotesque rawness to it.

interests: succession, veep, mad men, the thick of it, horror in general, harold lloyd films, psychosexual films, paul dano/zach woods/david dastmalchian filmography, character studies, the feminist perspective, religious imagery, joan of arc, homoeroticism in writing, cannibalism used not for love but for girlhood, dissecting gender as a social construct. i might make fanfics in the near future!

this is my personal safe space and i’d like for it to be one for those that interact with my account here! everyone is welcome. my views are quite leftist and i won’t tolerate bigotry, so please be mindful of everyone here.

old piece that i never quite finished. i’m thinking of going back into doing more digital art but im unsure of Who to draw ! i am so awful at finding my own style because i haven’t really drawn in Years ? but i found some old canvases so maybe i’ll also do some actual physical art which is very exciting news ! don’t know if i have any paint though so that might be an upcoming purchase.

i think i might start a side blog that acts more like spam ! i feel like i go on random little rambles on here that are better suited for more personal blogs whereas this one, whenever i post i always feel a little guilty i’m not putting out any writing that’s of substance ! i have a lot of ideas floating but i have this feeling of needing to do other things before i enjoy myself. who knows !

i really like hearing from you guys though ! i’m sorry i have been so absent on here and dry in messages ! i’m going to clean my room, organize it and my office space, and try to go outside a little more !

the urge to start a little book / film club / writing club on here is very tempting! i don’t talk to a lot of people but the ones that i do are the absolute sweetest. i doubt it would be of any interest though ! what i have in mind is (and this would be after discussing everyone’s schedules!) would be a weekly movie night or even a bi-weekly one! we’d have a nice little time chatting as we watch and then afterwards we get to dig deeper + get a little silly with it. could be rewatching movies or shows too ! it would mostly just be sharing little a little joy together. we tenderly hunger together ! (plus it’ll definitely force me to work more and more on my writing!) you guys can share your fixations and we’d all go “exactlyyyy” !

i don’t know though,,, does the class have any thoughts,, it would be super flexible and not very demanding because i do understand people have a life offline !

i’m alive you guys !!! went through a bit of a rough patch but i’m going to post some ramblings i’ve told my friends ! they’re not very coherent, unedited but they’re sort of a vague idea of upcoming writings ! i have a feeling ill be incredibly inspired soon ! i’m on my knees begging for asks because id love to be given little prompts in between my more serious writing (im kidding. only if you guys would like to!)

i haven’t even start analyzing jack under this specific idea but something about him swallowing things that are inherently harmful to him is very interesting. he’s always smoking, drinking alcoholic, consuming the blood of those that have suffered, he is always consuming pain and suffering, letting it envelop him whole. he worships pain and thinks that he is deserving of it as a punishment but he wants to relish in the reward first. he is willing to take penance but wants to let the sin become a part of him — he has the rest of his life to beg for mercy, just let him get what he wants for a little bit !

and minnie the sacrificial lamb ! its really small detail but the fact that she never smoked but acted in plays that were sort of more on the side of. i guess risqué ? is very interesting. she’s like doing what society would call unladylike and sinful and whatnot but she’s never herself participating in anything harmful to her body whereas jack seems to constantly be doing the opposite like he has been born with a guilt he cannot quite shake off? she’s pure and sweet, she’s a breath of fresh air and jack is the scratch at the back of your throat after your first smoke because you know it won’t be your last

I dont know anything about anything except late night with the devil but maybe that dot guy that dasmalchian plays would love you because he is sad and no one likes him so he needs a dedicated tumblr page(i don't know anything except a 6 minute scenepack)

Are you excited for the box set release of late night??? I haven’t preordered or anything but I’m literally eating up any scrap of lore I can get about this universe so the idea of getting a mini-book and tv guide is so exciting to me!!

it is so cool that they’re releasing something like that ! i’m very excited to see what more we can get from the film ! i’ve been just writing about things off their energy so it would be so lovely to finally have a little more concrete stuff to build off of? i probably won’t be able to afford it right now so i’m hoping that there’s some sort of digital release or something like that ? (some people are sweet enough to share the details on their own though!) but it’s such a fun addition to the film !!!
