One time while I was playing with my mom, I activated the terrarium in the Dragonfly Desert (I don't remember if I was trying to get a backup eye mask or if I was going to try to get the Eye of Terror to fight the Dragonfly) and the Eye spawned at the portal where my mom was instead of where I was. I wasn't aware it could go after another player that wasn't by the terrarium.
