I was tagged by @bougainvillea-and-saltwater, thanks a lot!!! I'll be doing this about the protagonist of my current fic, Tatianna!

1. Favorite Tavern

Tati doesn't spend much time in taverns. Maybe the Frozen Hearth for its proximity with the College of Winterhold.

2. Favorite Drink

Spiced Wine! It brings her back to the King's Effigy on Solitude, after she helped restore the festival. Free wine and meat pies, stomach warming!

3. Travel Companion

Tati usually travels alone. Game wise, it's more practical to travel on her own so she doesn't risk losing a non essential follower (which is why after the Dawnguard DLC, Serana will be a frequent companion in travelling, since she doesn't die); Story wise, I believe Tatianna to be quite a reserved person; it's not that she doesn't like to be around people, just that she needs her own space. Sometimes, she would like to be more open to other people, to work in a team, to let people in, though.

4. Wealthy or not?

She has acquired quite the amount of gold with her various travels around Skyrim, her becoming Thane in three holds and the archmage of the College, and I'd say she has become rather wealthy.

5. Worships the Aedra or the Daedra?

Tatianna was raised within the Vigil of S'tendarr, so she mostly opposes the Daedra on principle. She doesn't hate all Daedra, thought, and there's one particular Daedra that will have an impact on her life... As for Aedra, she worships S'tendarr (for her upbringing), Julianos (for being a mage), Kynareth/Kyne (since Kyne was the one who taught the Thu'um to mortals) and Akatosh (because she's Dragonborn).

6. Biggest Fear

To lose control of herself, or sense of who she is - again (story wise). To become a "bad" person, to hurt her loved ones.

7. Pet Peeves

I've never thought about it.

8. Do they like being dragonborn?

When she first discovers it, Tati can barely believe it, and often questions why her. Then, she begins seeing at a responsability first and foremost, and while she is fighting Alduin, she doesn't question much the meaning of her nature. After defeating Alduin, questions will resurge, specially when she finds out about the First Dragonborn...

9. Favorite faction

The college of Winterhold. She hasn't given much thought to the other factions around Skyrim, and is pretty much a mage at heart. Plus, she has a certain "lone wolf" streak to herself...

10. An object of sentimental value

Never thought much about it, maybe the first enchanted robes she wore as a vigilant, because her father, who was a vigilant, gifted them to her. They serve as a something to remember her family by, even if she's not with the Vigil anymore.

11. Hobbies

Alchemy, reading and collecting Dragon Priest masks (in the case of my fic, it's not only the mask she will be collecting... 🤭)

12. Favorite city

Hard to say. She made her home in Morthal, but it is more a town than a city. Whiterun is radiant and welcoming, and so is Solitude, but she feels a connection to both Morthal and Winterhold - she is a mage, after all.

the first dragonborn who lived under the dragon rule trying to secure every last bit of fragile power to survive, conflicted between his humanity and his dragon blood, is told he can't be the master of his own fate.

the last dragonborn who knows no one else like her, is constantly warned to not let power consume her or told she's "the ultimate dragon slayer", told her fate is hers to discover.

and when the first dragonborn hears about her existence, he's threatened, because there can't be two like them at the same time, there can be no one like him who can subdue him.

the last dragonborn wants to stop him for what he's doing, and then she hears him pleading, "I'm the master of my own fate", and wonders.

maybe all he wanted was to have power over himself, because he never knew a world where he could do that.

and he is puzzled to find out that she doesn't want his power, because she has power over herself.

she's like him, dual in nature, human and dovah, yet she's nothing like him, she doesn't subjugate anyone, and doesn't allow herself to be subjugated. it's a balance he never thought was possible.

suddenly, he's fascinated by his rival.

Barbie and I still have the Ken song in repeat in my brain. I really loved the whole movie.

Currently Watching:

I don't watch too many TV shows but I needed to see season 2 of Loki (feeling very meh compared to season 1 but could honestly be just because I really don't like Marvel that much anymore). Also just finished season 2 of Our Flag Means Death (really no notes, very camp, very gay, very pirates). My partner and I were watching Star Trek: Enterprise but my attention span just doesn't want to keep up with it.

Currently Reading:

I'm waiting to get an iPad but I started reading The Witcher. I am about halfway through and I am enjoying it a lot, although it really makes the Netflix series look pretty meh. There are so many details they missed in the first season that would have made it work better. I also tried to read Stephen King's Fairy Tale earlier this year and I couldn't even get halfway because the pacing is slug slow. When I get my iPad I want to read Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo and In the Lives of Puppets by TJ Klume.

Currently Playing:

I've paused my BG3 playthrough(s) to curve some burnout but will probably return to it soon. My friends and I have been playing Risk of Rain 2 and Lethal Company in the evenings, and I've been grinding the event in ESO. I've been getting the itch to play Red Dead Redemption 2 but I would have to uninstall Mass Effect, which I'm not fully ready to commit to yet as I still have 2 or 3 playthroughs of that I would like to finish. Plus, mods :(

Currently Consuming:

Coffee with pumpkin spice creamer and a chocolate breakfast protein shake with a little extra chocolate sauce and dairy free milk.

Currently Craving:

Attention from my partner (who is at work), the next D&D session, art of Galethor or Zafir, and more time before work to crochet.

Yea ofc! I’m not that really familiar with brnjolf so sorry if this is ooc :)

Farkas

Honestly it suprises him at first, it was just pretty sudden

But he almost immediately gives you a hug and holds you close

He asks what’s the matter and he’s just really worried

He was afraid he’d be awkward with comforting you but he’s pretty good at comforting bc strong himbo gives good hugs

But after you have calmed down he definitely buys you your favorite foods and he does whatever he can to calm you down

Honestly I think he’d be pretty good at comforting

Also he would probs take you out to the woods

Just to like calm you down and embrace nature

And to pick flowers

He just wants to comfort you the best that he can

If you need space he kinda understands it

But he checks up on you pretty frequently

Serana

Honestly dosent know what to do for a good few seconds

She just stands there contemplating how to help

But she finds a way to comfort you pretty easily

She also hugs you and asks what’s wrong

You find a good place to talk and you tell her why your upset

She will try a way to fix it(if it’s a fixable issue)

But if it’s not fixable she will comfort you by giving you your needed affection

I don’t think serana would be a touchy feely person with everyone but she really cares about you

So she wants to give you your needed attention and or space

If you need space she understands and will occasionally check in on you and ask if your feeling any better

Honestly he could sense something was up

But he understands not everyone wants to talk about it

But then you start to cry

Then he’s worried and asks what’s wrong

You both sit down wherever you are and talk about it

He’s very understanding and will hold you if you want

If not he gets that and will ease up the thieving jobs

But he will give you your space and trusts you will come to him if you want

But after a day or so he’s gonna check back in and ask if you wanna do a job with him

Overall he’s very understanding and pretty good at comforting

Wounds & Healing

Serana would always remember the day she noticed it. The way she would let her hand linger every time she touched Zahyla. The way the world seemed to light up when her friend smile. The way her ears perked up she saw Serana. The glow of her eyes. How she wanted the elf to embrace her, to hold her hands, to sleep close to her.

And then came the day she noticed how her gaze wandered to Zahyla’s lips. The day she caught herself thinking about how it would be to kiss her. She was sixteen at the time, and Zahyla had just turned seventeen. Serana told herself that she didn’t have time to worry about such thing, with her father always breathing down on her neck. What would she even do ? She had no idea how to react to this. She had to be sure that her friend felt something too, that confessing her own feelings wouldn’t destroy their friendship.

But then, that happened. She would always remember the day that Zahyla had all but kicked her bedroom’s door down, a bloodied knife in her hand and a different glow to her eyes. Kovan and Darien were close behind, and she was sure the guard posted outside the room was now lying on the floor.

Zahyla fell down to her knees, holding the now vampire as she cried, clinging to the elf like her life depended on it. Serana had lost account of how many hours she passed crying, but Zahyla never let go of her. For so long, that had been the last time Serana had let herself be held like this. Each passing day she flinched when someone touched her. She avoided direct eye contact. The thought of kissing someone, even her most dear friend, caused her nausea.

An entire era had passed since Serana last saw her. The tears in her face after what happened to Darien were still fresh when she had to flee and hide with the elder scroll. An entire era had passed since Serana last saw Zahyla, clutching her staff, bloodied and wounded, limping, left eye cut and blinded, her long braid cut off in the heat of the battle. She didn’t even have time to say goodbye.

So nothing could have prepared her to the day she was freed from her hiding place. Serana fell forward, weak and disoriented, and strong arms caught her. She looked up at whoever opened the tomb, gaze finding a tall and hooded individual. She could see four horns coming out directly from the person’s shaved head. The hood casted a shadow that made it impossible to see anything beside a pair of bright blue eyes with fended pupils. That surely wasn’t one of her clan’s vampires. The figure slowly brought a hand to the hood, pulling it back, revealing a familiar face. Zahyla’s face had way more scars than Serana could remember. She seemed tired. Tears stained her cheeks. 

After so many years, Serana let herself be embraced by the elf and hugged her back.

Between killing her father, defeating Alduin and getting Miraak out of Apocrypha, a total of three years had passed. Darien was with them again after some ritual Zahyla did to the Dawnbreaker. Kovan was with them again too, now as Sheogorath. And Serana would find shortly after being freed that Zahyla herself was now a Daedric Prince too. 

They sat on a beach of Sanctuary, watching the sunset, when Serana caught herself once more looking to her side, smiling as she watched Zahyla. The tattoos that covered her body, the horns, the scars in her face. She had fallen in love with it all again. And most important, she noticed, the idea of being close, of kissing her, was now something pleasant again.

“You know,” Serana’s eyes were wide and she would be blushing if not for the vampirism, when Zahyla’s gaze met hers amidst her staring. In contradiction, the elf herself had flushed cheeks and her eyes sported round, soft pupils. She smiled, and Serana felt the equivalent of a beating heart hammering inside her chest. “after… everything that happened, back in the second era, I told myself that I had to give you time and space. That I would wait as long as needed, but I wouldn’t ever pressure you about the subject. And after so many years, this one thought that.. uh, that maybe.. you know.. she…”

Serana was amused with the scene. Zahyla Aldmeri, the Vestige, the Soulless One, Hero of the Aldmeri Dominion, Daedric Prince, creator of a new type of vampirism, and the person who constantly bragged about beating Molag Bal, was blushing and rambling. 

“Zahyla.” Serana took one of Zahyla’s hands, eyes never leaving her face. “Can I kiss you ?”

“Oh, oh! This one was.. she.. yes.” Zahyla gave up on trying to form coherent thoughts as Serana pulled her close. Their lips met in a soft kiss, so full of love that both women couldn’t stop smiling when they broke apart. Zahyla cupped Serana’s cheek, and the vampire leaned on her touch. “This one loves you so, so much.”

“I love you too.”
