As a person who is a barista at a coffee shop, I gotta tell you, it does eventually become automatic. You go from shakily checking and rechecking the recipe with a coworker standing over you to chatting with the customer and eventually handing them the drink realizing that you haven’t been been paying attention the whole time and desperately hoping you made it right. Other times you just black out and only resurface as the customer walks away with their drink that was apparently made by you.

currently working on: in my wip folder i currently have a DD detective noir thingy thats been gathering dust and a st3ddie p!rate/mermaid au. ehhh sometimes I just feel like it isn't worth making anything more complex than those textpostmeme thingies because those seem to be the only thing I make people actually interact with.
