Reasons why I love Mike Flannagan shows: consistently uses my favorite hot people in them. Hello, Zach Gilford. Also, the hair and makeup team does an amazing job making sure no one looks the same. Took me a hot minute to realize who was playing young Roderick.

And Rahul Kohli with tattoos was something I didn't know I needed!

Watching “The Fall of the House of Usher” by Mike Flanagan on Netflix rn and I want to record some of my thoughts to review once I’m done.

**!!Mild spoiler warning!!***

So 20 mins into ep3 I am thinking…

1. Each of the kids and Roderick/Madeline represents one of the 7 deadly sins.

Prospero: Gluttony

Frederick: Sloth

Tamerlane: Envy

Victorine: Wrath or Pride (?)

Camille: Pride or Lust (?)

Leo: Lust or Wrath (?)

Roderick/Madeline: Greed

2. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like Roderick gets more white hair with every scare he gets, which would tie in with the original Poe story where he basically gets scared to death.

3. Roderick and Madeline have something incestuous going on, I’m pretty sure.

4. I don’t think there ever actually was in informant.

Suffice it to say it’s another brilliant brilliant show by Flanagan. Cinematography is amazing and the story is stunning. Great cast. Don’t want it to end and simultaneously want to get it all into my eyeballs as quickly as possible. Absolutely masterful!

My only gripe about this show is the logo they chose for the logo. That's it. Everything else I like, I just...I don't know. They could have gone for literally ANY other design. Please tell me I'm not the only one that feels that way.
