Sunday Snippet

(I was supposed to be writing something else, but this scene from my high school drama AU really wanted to be written tonight)

He walked across the street and knocked on the door. Sirius answered the door, grinning at him. He had a towel around his shoulders and was wearing an oversized t shirt and flannel pajama bottoms. 

“Hey,” Sirius said. “I’m taping Boy Meets World so we don’t miss it.”

“Sounds good,” Remus said, coming inside and heading upstairs after him. Sirius was the only one of the four of them to have a tv in his room. “Pizza’s on its way.”

Remus loved these Friday night sleepovers. It had started out with the four of them when they were 11, but as time went on, it was only Sirius and Remus who kept up the tradition. They didn’t talk about it really.

Once the pizza came, Sirius pressed play on the VCR and they watched the episode of Boy Meets World they missed earlier, leaning against Sirius’s mountain of pillows on his bed. Sirius was leaning against him and the contact made Remus feel warm all over. They probably should be too old or too cool for this show anymore, but Sirius still loved it. 

Remus cautiously leaned back against Sirius, who took this as a cue to snuggle into him a little more. He closed his eyes and breathed him in, the spicy, woodsy scent of his shampoo and soap. The scent was as familiar as it was distracting.
