My favourite thing about penumbra is that there are four types of additional background voices
- Harley Takagi Kaner Snarky Voice™
- Harley Takagi Kaner Preppy Voice™
- Harley Takagi Kaner Virtual Assistant Voice™
- Kevin Vibert Dumb Goon Voice™

Gotta say, overwatch's comunnity on tumblr is so so so refreshing and nicer then anywhere else, mainly because people here seem to enioy one thing more than anything else: the characters!
I find it so fruatrating how anywhere else people seem to only be able to complain. Complain about balance, about characters, about content creators, about anytjing really! Here is so much nicer.
While i see balance opinions, or complaints about blizzards choices on how to deal with characters and the story, it isnt nearly as inflamatory as in other places.
People here love the characters! The world! Most complains come from this love, be it criticising lore things like kirikos ages, or the lack of skins for certain characters. And I love this, because I fell in love with these characters, all of them.
I think this is a consequence of tumblrs fandom culture, as we naturally go for the characters in media even before focousing on the try hard competitive balance stuff (a lot of us dont even play comp lmao)
I see so much cool and different art (not only thirst over the women) I see head canons and people dexlaring their love for zennyata, mercy, bastiom, ramattra and many more!!
Love you guys, really. Seeing people who will interact with the game in other eays other than complaining makes me feel less alone as a avid overwatch lover, even with its flaws (blizzard).

Lately my gaming time has been spent on Stardew Valley (this run I'm finally gonna ask Krobus to be my platonic life partner/roommate 🥰), but also I started poking at this project again, which is a neighborhood that will theoretically become a vacation destination for Middleground.

Ikiaq lives in a small town in coastal Alaska and followed in his father's footsteps towards becoming an artist. He helps his father with his exhibitions in the surrounding area, and spends most of his free time surfing (oftentimes driving down into Canada for slightly warmer water).
Eventually he meets Phinneas, a charming fisherman with a lilting Scottish accent and a funny smile. As the two grow close, and Ikiaq truly falls in love for the first time in his life, he begins to realize Phin has a secret... they're a selkie!!
~note!!~
Ikiaq's gender is complicated - he was raised in a traditionally feminine way and came into his masculinity as his family and community recognized him as Two Spirit. However, he was still offered and accepted the face tattoos also worn by his mother and female cousins because he is deeply connected to the matriarchal power of his ancestors - as far as I've researched, there's no direct gender in Inuktitut, so in discussions with his family, he's seen as feminine or nonbinary. In english, he uses he/him pronouns only as is his preference.
All of my development of Ikiaq's character has come through researching Inuit culture and the Inuktitut language online, which means I am certain to make mistakes - please let me know if you notice anything incorrect, glaring or otherwise, and I'll make it right!

Wow ok. Just drop one of the best endings I've ever witnessed. Just wow.
The arc of Juno Steel has to be one the most incredible journeys I've experienced and I'm so glad to have been there. With every step Juno went on I've grown along side him and I am so proud to have been able to go on this journey.
Thank you so much penumbra crew for everything you have done. I am so excited to see what you do next.
Too many more incredible stories

Elevating experiences
1. Walking into an ocean with jeans on
2. Spinning in a parking lot in your socks (no shoes)
3. Listening to Los Campesinos! while looking out to the darkened ocean and feeling the sea breeze

I don’t think words are enough to express how much the Juno Steel stories means to me and how much Juno himself means to me, but I am calling myself a writer now, so I am making an attempt to find the words, even if they will not be enough.
Juno Steel is such a character driven and focused story with an amazing amount of care put into it. There was care put into Nightmare at the end, the Aurinkos in the middle, and Juno in the beginning, and all of it led to the conclusion of a beautiful thing. Juno gave way for all of it, and the themes of self improvement and self love being the end of the story, the final lessons Harley and Kevin have decided to teach us, make the story what it is.
I love this show from the bottom of my heart and it’s done so much for me. Thank you for all of the lessons you have taught me on how to be a better person, how to be a complete person, and how to continue being a person even when it’s hard. Juno’s themes are so human and something everyone can relate to, and I think the human element is what makes it mean so much.
Thank you Harley and Kevin, though I hope you never see this and perceive me more than saying my name at the end of episodes, this story means the world to me. It means the world to many others. I’m so happy I kept going, even though I hated Juno in the first season. I’m so happy my friend got me into the podcast with the disgusting make out noises in the second episode. I’m so happy I was able to listen to this show, and I’m so happy it affected me so much.

"canon event" this and "canon event" that
my canon event was doing yardwork in autumn of 2022 and looking for something to occupy my mind with, seeing a sci fi podcast (I was NOT into podcasts at all at this point) and deciding, fuck it, why not
my canon event was listening to Murderous Mask for the first time and knowing immediately that Rex Glass would be my favorite, then being upset as he left and assuming he'd never come back
my canon event was watching Murderous Mask unfold and convincing myself that i was being delusional if I thought that these characters would actually be canonically explicitly queer, and then they WERE
my canon event was laying in bed staring at the ceiling for a straight 20 minutes trying to comprehend the end of s1
in conclusion, the rest of the podcast is great, but the experience of listening to s1 for the first time is unmatched. nostalgic, even.

Don't know if this has been pointed out before but Aurinko means Sun in Finnish and Ilkay means First Moon in Turkish so Buddy and Vespa are literally sun and moon lesbians
