I was in the middle of something and sent it to my drafts and then forgot about it. And I was tagged again today by @stealingyourbones. Both threads had a lot of replies, so I figured I'd just make a new chain.

It's a fantastic song. Everything by this artist is amazing and I cannot recommend him enough.

Currently Watching: I'm part of the way through a rewatch of Good Omens Season 2 because holy shit.

Currently Reading: Excluding fanfic, I'm most of the way through an audiobook of Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb. I took a break to watch Good Omens, though, but I think I can go back to it. A lot of exciting things are going down.

Current Obsession: Well, it should be pretty obvious that the main one is the DPxDC crossover fandom. But there's also Good Omens. And my hands are itching to pick up my crochet hook and finish the second panel of the blanket I'm making. It doesn't take much to rekindle my obsessions for Jane Austen, Newsies, and the Bandstand Musical, either.

So I will say something about the three things currently jangling in my head, and if anyone wants more details or a direct snippet, please ask!

Tentative title: something about a butterfly. After playing Stray Gods I ended up thinking a particular side-character (who I really did not expect to like) deserved a happy ending and am working on writing a fluffy piece of just that.

BG3 fic one (both the BG3 fic bits live in the same word doc for now). Orin takes Varash, my githzerai Tav. Party has to get her back before Orin gets too Oriny. Hurt/comfort.

NG3 fic two. Post-game. Varash and Halsin working out their commune and family, complicated by a visit to Limbo and a WHOLE PILE of gith headcanons.

Six Sentence Sunday/Heads Up Seven-Up

Tagged by @starknstarwars and @commander-krios (and a handful of others that are so far back in my notes, they're near-impossible to find - I'm sorry!) for these fic-sharing memes. Please consider yourself tagged if you see this!

Since "Shan-anigans" came in second place in this poll, I'll share the last bit that I wrote of it! It's more than 6-7 sentences, but we'll consider it interest earned ;) This is set in approximately 40ATC in some nebulous SWTOR future where Sanna & Theron are still happily married but mostly RETIRED FFS, Amareesa is about 13 years old, and their youngest Lucca, is training to be a Jedi. The basic plot? Sanna's diplomatic meeting goes sideways and Theron rushes off to rescue her -- while Reesie tags along to help, unbeknownst to Theron at first. Then they team up, hence... Shan-anigans :D

“Are you ready?” 

The question, asked in a crisp Imperial accent, startled Reesie and she whipped around to find a man in uniform, hands clasped behind his back and posture impeccable. She reached for the dirk attached to her belt and froze as the man began to chuckle. Her mouth dropped open in recognition.

“Dad?” she hissed and he grinned, spreading his arms wide.

“What do you think: do I pass muster?” His regular speech pattern was back, thank the stars.

She took a moment, inspecting his cover: The brimmed, military-style hat hid most of his implants and hair, though a small amount of salt-and-pepper peeked out at his temples. The jacket fit snugly across his shoulders, belted at the waist, and the starched collar of the shirt underneath seemed determined to strangle him. The boots were shiny and looked like they’d pinch his toes.

“It looks uncomfortable.”

It also looked nothing like what he usually wore and it was weird.

“Unfortunately,” he said, tugging at the collar with a grimace, “it is uncomfortable, but I’ll blend in.” He gestured to the pins on the front left panel of the jacket. “High enough rank to not be questioned at every corner, but not high enough to draw too much attention.”

I share my middle name with my father. My parents like the sound of it and I do too.

2. When was the last time you cried?

About two days ago? It’s been a rough summer.

3. Do you have kids?

No thank you lol.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Only when people know me well enough to tell I’m being sarcastic. I would hate to accidentally hurt someone’s feelings.

5. What sports do you play/have played?

I was a part of a fencing club and used to do archery in school. I even used to run before I went through puberty. I don’t do much of any of those things anymore. I miss running.

6. What’s the first thing you notice about someone?

Eyes I think. Human eyes come in so many amazing colors.

Hazel I think is the technical color. A ring of brown in the middle surrounded by a ring of green.

Happy please. I don’t do scary movies.

I can wiggle my ears! I’ve been told I’m a good Dungeon Master too.

Southern United States.

Writing, D&D, and reading are the main ones.

1: Earl Grey Tea: This is usually what I have first thing in the morning, plus another one just before lunch as I’m finishing up my work for the morning. I really love the smell of it as well as the taste.☕☕

2. Lemon Squash:  I drink this quite a lot during the day, and when I say squash, in actual fact there’s a tiny splash of it in my massive glass of water….so it’s more like tap water with a hint of lemon floating about.🍋🍋

3. Raspberry Gin and Lemonade: I love Whitley Neill’s Raspberry gin (Although their Blackberry one is also very tasty) this is usually if I’m out for dancing with friends or work dinner meetings.🍸

4: Chamomile Tea: I have this in the evenings when I’m editing or unwinding.

5: Coca-Cola: A rare treat, only really have it if I’m out for dinner.
