You didn’t really want to talk to Ivar. Before you left for college you made two promises. One: you would wait for one another. Two: No one would come between you both. But one year away at Baylor had changed the look of things for him. He stood there with the new chick, she was pretty which made it worst for you. His muscled arm was wrapped around her waist and he looked genuinely happy to be there with her, genuinely fucking happy.

“Are you gonna go over there and talk to him or just stare?” Hvitserk said from your left side. He knew the entire story, quite frankly he was the only person that ever listened to you rant.

“And say what?” You gritted your teeth and slammed the notebook closed.

“Yeah don’t say anything just pout and slam your things down.”

“Shut up.” You hissed at Hvitserk. You pushed passed him over to your car and hoped that you wouldn’t catch Ivar’s attention. You opened the door and tossed in the purse and the three books you’d failed to return to the library on time and you had successfully made it passed the Lothbrok brother of your dreams turned nightmare.

Ivar glanced up at you as you started the car and he threw his hand up. The solemn look on his face gave light that he knew how you felt, but obviously he didn’t care. The red head was still on his hip and there was a smile plastered on her face. You backed out of the short driveway and left Ivar in your rearview where you hoped he would stay. Home was not going to be safe as long as he was back in town.

You took to downtown. The small town of Kattegat flourished with new café’s every morning and recently the likes of one had become your favorite, Astrid’s. You take the seat at the back of the café where the sunlight couldn’t reach you and you start on your next book and the homework assignment. Things between you and Ivar used to be simple. Talks on the roof of your parent’s house about where you could go and who you could be. Holding hands, dancing in the rain. The meanest of Lothbroks was a sweetheart to you. Always a sweetheart and apparently it was all just a phase.

An hour fades into two and you’re amazed at the amount of work you’re able to get done. Your phone vibrated and vibrated until you turned it completely off. You had nothing to say to him. What was there to say really? Congrats on the new chick? I thought it was supposed to be me? You’re a fucking dick. I hate you. Die. You favored the last one.

The door chimed for the first time in thirty minutes and for some reason you tore your eyes away from the paper. It was like you could feel him. Ivar Lothbrok stood before you with his fresh new haircut throwing you off. He looked different.

“I knew you would be here.” He said as he took a step towards you. He slipped out of the jacket and draped it over the wooden chair in front of you. “Can I sit here Y/N?”

“Why not?” you groaned as you closed the book. This was the talk you didn’t want to have, because it wasn’t necessarily needed. It wasn’t needed at all. “What do you want?’

“I know you seen her, you didn’t give me a chance to explain everything.”

“What was there to explain?

“How and why I’m with her.”

“Save me that spill.” You said holding your hand up to him. “I don’t need to know any of it.”

“Stop being stubborn woman.” He smiled. “I know what we promised. I wasn’t expecting to meet her and all. And she’s…” He paused. “not what I would have wanted but then again sometimes you don’t get what you want out of life.”

“Then leave her if she’s not what you wanted.”

“Yeah, I can’t. She’s about to have my child.” He said with his Tenerife blue eyes on yours. He watched as your face melted into a small distortion of pain. “I can’t leave her.”

“You’re fucking horrible.”

“Yeah, but I can’t leave her to raise a child by herself. I watched my mom drank herself into fucking oblivion at being a bad father. I won’t allow another life to be like that. I know what we promised, but you deserve better than me.” Ivar smiled.

“How many months is she?”

“Four.” He breathed.

Her flat stomach revealed nothing of the sort. “Wow. Congrats baby Lothbrok.” There was a small portion of you that hated her and there was a part of you that wanted them to be happy because he was your best friend.

“Thank you, I think.”

“You’re welcome.”

“I wanted you to meet her today, I told her she could chose the godfather if she allowed you to be the God Mother?” He looked innocently at you. “Will you?”

“Of course.” You swallow back your tears. “Forever. That’s what we said right? Friends for life?” You touch his hand and he shakes his head at you.

Ivar is nervous, his eyes welled. “I don’t regret this.”

Those words hurt you. “Okay.”

“But if I could do things differently, if I could avoid hurting you, I would.”

The tears you fought for a little while finally spilled over and you tried to stop them. “don’t worry about it Lothbrok. You beat all your other brothers at this dad stuff huh.”

The new girl appears at the door with a wide smile on her face. “Y/N! I’m so glad to meet you!”

Thanks for the ask! (I loved your answers to the one I sent, btw. Absolutely agree with Jake, and the Warblers’ Regionals setlist is the best.)

C - 9: Character you used to like but now dislike?

Okay, truth time. I used to like Blaine, though I may have been biased from the start because I was/still kind of am a fan of Darren, and I just really wanted Kurt to have a nice love interest. From his first scene on the Dalton staircase, all seemed like it was going well, so I chose to root for him and Kurt to get together. Just a few scenes later when Blaine tells him to confront Karofsky, I was more unsure of him, but I hoped that if anything happened, he would swoop in and help Kurt. It was okayy from then on up until the Sexy episode.

That episode kind of ruined Blaine a bit for me because of him going behind Kurt’s back and talking to his father about subjects none of them were clearly comfortable with. Also him telling Kurt he looked like he had “gas-pains” when he was trying to be sexy was just absolutely horrible (and untrue). The When I Get You Alone in 2x12 was just cringe as well (he literally just outed this poor guy with a totally inappropriate song!)

Of course, everything else Blaine did in the seasons following only made me hate him more (the Scandals assault, the Chandler situation, the cheating, the proposal... should I go on?)

C - 10: Character you used to dislike but now like?

Honestly, I don’t know. Maybe Cassandra July, Rachel’s dance teacher. At first, I was very confused about why she seemed to hate Rachel so much. Now, I’m not quite sure what changed but I kinda love her.

S - 40: Favourite mash-up?

Oooooh... The title has to go to Crazy/U Drive Me Crazy from Britney 2.0. It is criminally underrated and deserves so much attention (also, Jarley!!!!). A close second and third are Rumour Has It/Someone Like You (because duh!) and Americano/Dance Again.

M - 66: What’s a song you wish they would’ve covered?

I have a whole list, but for the sake of not being too annoying and fangirly (is that a word? Now it is.) I’ll only choose a few.

Vienna (Jake in the Billy Joel episode), Can’t Fight The Moonlight (Santana), Man! I Feel Like A Woman (Rachel and Santana), Woman In Love (Rachel, because she’d throw a fit if anyone else sung this song), Chasing Cars (Finn), Runaway (Kurt), and Young And Beautiful (Quinn).

R for Romeo Carrie/Quinn scenes - an optimistic interpretation.

Frangi @frangipaniflower001: I hated the monkey scene. But that first convo was the set up/frame for what came later. They had to make them bring up all the accusations and imho it wasn't well done b/c they should have given them more screen time for that. It felt OOC that Carrie went to sleep after a confrontation like this and that Quinn didn't ask why she lost her daughter/where Franny is. But: The next morning, when Carrie blocks his way, they both are calm. He hears her. It's not about the mission. This is her: I love you. I care for you. Deeply. And he answers: You have to let me go.

Laure @laure00001: Yes... And I freak out. Frangi: Which is horrible. Because he said it before. And because he says "you are the only person/thing tethering me to life, I'll end it as soon as you let me." But he heard her. It'll take time to trickle in (and maybe he doesn't have that time) and her love won't heal him but he heard her and responded. This is the moment when they connect. And she hears him and she heard what he is really saying. He wants to die. She lets him go and thinks she'll never see him again. And then the killing scene. He loses it. It's unnecessarily brutal. It's his revenge. For Astrid, for the guy going after Carrie, for the mess he's in, for his whole life. We never saw Quinn like this. We always saw his killings being measured acts, beautiful in their serene calmness and precision. Carrie gets it. She understands it. She's not even scared. What she does care about is the immunity deal (BTW, that got too much screentime, how often did she say it?). Laure: The immunity is important because it shows she tries again and again to save him. Frangi: When he talks about having no heart - we know it's not true. Carrie knows it. But you can't feel loved without loving yourself. Quinn is deep down in depression. But even if he denies it, he still cares. For Astrid, for Carrie, for Sekou Bah, etc. And then, the explosion. And those two gravitate into each other. Federal agents around them. He just declared himself unable to feel - and what does he do? Sinking into Carrie and even rubbing her back. He's not saved yet. But she is his tether. Is that strong enough? I don't know. But it's there. And he knows it. The hug confirms it. He needs to heal and deal with his depression. If S7 wants to have an realistic arch for him he won't be around all S7. Laure: Yikes!

Send 👏 for dueling: did you used to duel or still duel? For fun or for tournaments or both? Any favorite moments from your dueling days?

Ahaha, I sort of duel for fun! I have a lot of Yugioh OCs thanks to the Lineages setup, and I am a big nerd who loves details, so I try to build all their decks so I have them. (Except... most of them are better duelists than me,,,) I use one of my OC’s (specifically: Dorothy, 5Ds era Anderson descendant) deck as my personal deck and I’ll duel my friends from time to time with them!

My favorite moment was the time a friend of mine- @zzdigital - actually built a more or less show accurate Jack Atlas deck for me to test a theory on! He kicked my ass all over the place but I had a lot of fun with it. (and also he was IN CHARACTER for p. much each duel it was amazing) The theory was basically that Dorothy’s Gravekeeper deck could beat Jack’s Beatdown deck- and the verdict was yes, but only under the condition she could get Hidden Temples of Necrovalley on the field BEFORE he got out Red Demon’s Dragon. That would be the duel in which I named that card “Horrible Murderlizard”, btw.

Between having just the BEST storyline ideas and character concepts she’s always been down to ride with my weird plots and characters... and you know, tolerated my obsession with certain crab haired duelists,,, (ahem) Plus she’s always been so fun to work with! Birds of Prey rewrite

Birds of Prey/ Harley Quinn Fix this story

My disclaimer: I ma more a Birds of Prey than Harley Quinn fan, though I love her in the cartoons and Suicide Squad. However, this movie was not good. Basically the story needs to be an empowering, funny, sexy, chick flick and it fails miserably. First, the costumes must be wonderful, not the trash bag thrift store panic shopping of the movie.

Synopsis: Harley and the Joker break up. Not sure what happened because it does not matter, but it happened when she was in prison. Harley does a drunken melt down, similar to the movie, but the soundtrack is “bang” by AJR. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4THFRpw68oQ During this Harley realizes that she has no friends. They are all Jokers crowd, and the ones who are still friendly think they are getting back together. They are also all gangster groupies. One can even quip “girls just wanna have fun”. This is different from the movie because she thought she had friends, not just Joker. Harley is doing what she calls couch surfing, which means breaking into rich people’s second homes while they are out and eating their food and raiding their closets. Harley is arrested and Amanda Waller tells her that she is on indefinite probation if she can show she is rehabilitated. Basically the suicide squad can only be from activated criminals who have potential to be rehabilitated instead of the worst. “I want you on a chain, but they want you lobotomized or put down like a rabid dog. SO we have the joy of Harley quin going through 12 step (and other) programs. Shot of a board at a Y/center with the Support Groups schedule. She takes the whole thing. Comedy montage of Bikram yoga mindfulness class, breaking the finger of a guy that gropes her, “SO sex addicts group was a mistake” etc. Visual quote of Fight Club support scenes. In the different groups, she meets many people including Cassidy Cain in Klepto Anonymous. Harley co-opts and ends up leading several of the sessions. (I am OK with the casting of Canary but would like Camila Cabello. Though she could be Huntress.) Cassidy is a very different character from the movie. She is still 13, but smarter, and always on a phone. Running joke, it is a different phone in every scene. She is an epic pickpocket, appearing to be a clueless teen who bumps into people because she talks and texts and selfies all at once while actually picking people’s pockets and photographing security. She also gleans information and is the source of information on why people hate Harley. “Wow. You should see his Instagram. He should be banned for those images. Just a sec. Done.” She is the definition of plucky comic relief. Casting should actually cast a minor. (Marsai Martin, Mckenna Grace, Brooklynn Prince.)

The Bertinelli Diamond is a nice plot device, bringing in Huntress who is tracking it as well as the gangsters who killed her family. (BTW this needs to be recast with someone who has a charisma and can at least dance. Madison Beer, Nicole Maines, Hailee Steinfeld, etc. Huntress wears motorcycle leathers, a very Asian gang vs American biker look) HQ: “OOo! Italian leather!” The Huntress backstory is necessary but cut the bit about young Helena drawing with crayons. If she draws, it should be recognizable. She’s had art lessons since 2.

Harley sees Cassidy Cain on the street steal from a known gangster. The chase begins. We can keep the glitter cannon/ prop room brawl, but it should be a gangster hideout not the police station, (unless she can get out of it another time and have a joke where Canary coughs “white privilege”) However, to preserve a better story arc, let’s move this to a gangster vault, and have this be where we meet the Huntress. Here is where we realize that Harley loves to hit things, but hates to shoot things. SO Harley has Cassidy and Huntress hanging around. Huntress wants to use Cassidy as bait while they wait for the diamond to drop. Funny bit as Huntress gets sucked into group, probably an anger management group. “I always wanted to be a teacher” Harley wants to finish her program and needs to check in with her sponsor. She is on step 8/9.

Canary: “DID you make your list” HQ: “ I think so.” Drops a ream of paper. “I have to apologize to everyone?” “It’s a start. And I know someone you could start with. It might be easier than the rest because she was hurt when you were in jail” HQ”????” Canary “Practice” Barbara Gordon is never referred to using her whole name. (casting: Liana Liberato, Kennedy McMann) The cop in the movie is completely unnecessary. Either have Oracle, “B” be in the movie or cast someone like Rosario Dawson to be a kick ass Hispanic cop and have her stuck in vice and always asked to work for ICE. Since Gotham city embodies the worst of our current world skewed through a dark lens of madness, having the women in the movie own that “the women in Gotham are the ones who have to clean up and deal with the shit and the fallout of all the crazies.”-B. “That ain’t me”-HQ. “You act like the only options are to be the ass who trashes the place or the maid. (I’m going to) Find something else”-Cassidy. The rest of the film is Bs first real run as Oracle, remotely feeding them information, using drones, shutting down the bad guys tech. “There’s more than one way to fight.”

At the climax, which does have a giant brawl of gangster thugs after the team, but all of the team, each having a dose of enemies. It begins with a girl power makeover scene as they are arming. Cassidy:“We should RUN!” Huntress: “I have been running and hunting my whole life. I want this over” Huntress gets carbon fiber outfit from B “Moves better than leather and is knife and bullet resistant, but not proof” Harley gives Canary the fishnets. “Just try them. You need some fun.” The girls make Harley stop with the white face. “Keep the Harlequin Loose the clown. “ Cassidy has a CIA briefcase she stole from the gangster prop room HQ: “Where’s ya get that?” Cassidy:” Stole it from the gangsters but can’t open it” B:”Here let me” It is adaptive camouflage stealth tech armor. Cassidy: ”Yay! You can’t hit what you can’t see” HQ and Huntress: ”That’s what grenades are for” HQ: “Jinx!” B: “No grenades!” HQ:”we know. No Grenades! (softer)… inside”

The massive gangster fight proceeds. The movie does OK with this except for the dubious production design, and the lack of using Huntress well. And that all of the gangsters are completely incompetent. Note on the bad guys: We do not need a named bad guy. The “Black mask” was lame and sucked screen time. It can just be gangs, at least one run by the gangster(s) Huntress needs to kill. But just mafia, not stupid mask nonsense. As part of the makeover montage, they make a plan and set up a kill zone. B: Looking at Cassidy:”cough- Capture zone” Cassidy (on phone) “Please, what am I 12? Gotham only has kill zones.” B: “maybe we can change that” HQ: “Not tonight we can’t. Baby steps” Huntress snipes the ones with automatic guns that enter the building. Casandra fights and hides. Dropping stuff from vents, etc. When the dust settles, Joker appears: “DO I have to do everything myself?” He tries to talk Harley into coming back, She freezes, then realizes he is just distracting her so he can grab Cassidy. It works. She chooses her new life and goes to get Cassidy. She defeats him and kicks him off of the pier, possibly while analyzing him. “You were a horrible boyfriend!”

At the end, Birds of Prey is formed, with the good costumes. HQ:“I drop by every now and then, but I need to work on me. Cassidy stays with B, but we see each other all of the time” “Do I have to stay with you? You’re no fun” B: “I’m the only one who can pass a background check”

HQ; “I got an apartment. I had to get a roommate but I think it will work out.” There is a shot of the Help board at the Y/center with the “roommates” section and she grabs one of every tab numbers including one that says “Ivy” (Cameo of Evan Rachel wood or one of the CW redheads asking “Do you like plants?”) (This can occur earlier if we need a comic break)

Hi everyone I live in the UK and I insure my car with Direct Line. I have never had any issues with them before apart from now that I have a new car. I have several years no claims for my driving, most of which are through policies with Direct Line. I called my insurance to report the accident. In the night, when she returned home, we asked for her insurance, but she refused. I called her insurance(Geico) the next day, and she had already made a claim, and she only said she didn't hit my car; she didn't give more details.
