please say you have pictures. i was promised victorian tackiness but those dresses in the post look tasteful enough tbh

They are, like 99% of extant garments I've seen and examined. Shockingly, new aniline dye discoveries or no, people DID have a concept of tackiness back then. And they generally tried to avoid it. But there's one specific clunker I'm thinking of; let's see if I can find it.

That post may be full of tasteful dresses, but it is true that nobody did tacky like the Victorians.
