Okay so remember that Disney Descendants AU? This one?

Well I rewatched the Descendants Movie (couldn’t even finish the second movie without cringing, me and my friend were giggling about how cringe it was despite it being nostalgic.)

So I was going to redo the whole story of Descendants (the OG, not the AU) but then I was like—What if I had my own inspired version Descendants x The 7D AU but it has it’s own story going on.

So including that, since the author completely hasn’t updated the fanfic since around 2017 ish, (dunno their tumblr, if someone can find it that would be great) I made the AU with my own twists and turns to the story! (I am in NO WAY saying that I’m making it “better” this is just something I want to get out of my head as a stress reliever from midterms)

Also drew my own versions of the royals! Tried to go off on how the author described Delightful in the story and mainly drew out my own ideas for the dress! Starchy and Humidor was completely different and I have a lot of fun making their outfits!

Character Breakdown!

Dahlia (Doc):

Narrator: She is so smart, she can recite the alphabet backwards and upside-down. Currently, she is writing a book, called "The History of the Future". She is that smart. She daydreams in Latin. She once divided the circumference of a jack-o-lantern by its diameter. And made pumpkin pie. It was delicious. Meet...Dahlia!

Dahlia: Whoopdy-doopdy howdy-do 'ya do!

In The 7T AU, Dahlia is portrayed as the brains of the group. Her machines and other gadgets are pretty advanced in the series' timeline and setting, and they even help the residents of Rosas. However, she can make mistakes and is pretty quick to admit so.

Despite her smarts, she can be as goofy as the other teens.

Safi (Sneezy):

Narrator: Pepper is terrified of him. His sneezes will blow you away. No, seriously. Stand back. When he goes "Achoo!," old countries say, “Gesundheit!”. His last sneezing fit became a dance phase. He once sneezed at the beach and formed a sandcastle. Two thousand sand crabs live there now. Meet Safi.

Safi: (sneezes) Pleased to meet ya!

Most of the time Safi sneezes frequently because he has many allergies, he sometimes gets clumsy and stubborn in each episode, and he can be affected whenever he encounters an animal or flower.

He gets along with most of the other teens and is rarely one to anger, but is not without his limits as he loses patience and does not take kindly to deception.

Bazeema (Bashful):

Narrator: When she plays hide and seek, she can't even find herself. She's so good at blending in, chameleons come to her for advice. She's so shy, her parents haven't met her yet. She plays extreme Peek-a-Boo. She’s not only scared of her shadow, her shadow is scared of other shadows and thinks about it... That's scared. Meet Bazeema!

Bazeema: (gulps) Floom.

Bazeema is extremely shy and cowardly. She panics whenever her hat is removed in front of everyone, where she has to find another object to cover her face. She is also good at hiding when being bothered. Bazeema can also pop up unexpectedly in many different locations, and sometimes peek behind other characters.

There are, however, signs of Bazeema being brave. Bazeema can have different personas. She also has a crush on Prince Miguel (mirorring Bashful’s 1937's classic film equivalent's crush on Snow White).

Gabo (Grumpy):

Narrator: This guy is so grumpy, he can burst a piñata by just looking at it. He can pop balloons with a single glance. He smiled once, just to see what it felt like; he didn't like it. He invented cranky pants.

Gabo: Enough yapping already!

Narrator: Meet Gabo.

Gabo: Yeah, whatever, hello.

Gabo is grouchy and he routinely gets annoyed by just about anything, and, at times, he can be sarcastic. At worst he's selfish, self-centered and insensitive. However, Gabo does show some compassion from time to time. Gabo is also the unluckiest of the group. He has a soft spot for kids and animals. 

Hal (Happy):

Narrator: If she fell off a cliff, she'd admire the view. She’s happy, and she knows it. Clap your hands!

Hal: (claps her hands)

Narrator: Legend has it, she even makes  Gabo smile... barely. Meet Hal!

Hal: Oh, whoopty-doopty-schmoodily-doo!"

Hal’s behavior is very optimistic and cheerful. In fact, unlike her original counterpart, who's merely mellow, jovial and friendly, Hal is hyperactive. She also cheers up the other teens whenever they have a problem. She’s a little on the naive side, a little too trusting of strangers, and also has a terrible grasp of sarcasm.

Simon (Sleepy):

Narrator: This fella's so sleepy, he can't finish a dream without nodding off. When the Sandman visits him, he brings a dump truck. His snores are so loud, they frightened thunder. Sheep count him to go to sleep. Especially, when he dreams of becoming a knight. Meet Simon.

Simon: (yawning) Hi there. (snores)

Simon is frequently tired and is sometimes seen sleeping with his plush, Mr. Hicklepips. Because of this, he's slightly useless in situations his fellow teens’ face, but in a few occasions he has managed to save the day. Simon loves his Mr. Hicklepips so much that he'll go crazy without him.

Dario (Dopey):

Narrator: A teen of "many" words, and all of them...

Dario: (whistles)

Narrator: Dario is so cute, he makes puppies go "Awww...". His favorite food is whatever you're eating. Dario has so many pets, a zoo-keeper would be jealous. A skunk named...

Dario: (whistles)

Narrator: A snake named...

Dario: (hisses then whistles)

Narrator: And a bear named...

Dario: (growls)

Narrator: Meet Dario!

As usual in all previous Disney appearances, Dario always talks. In The 7T AU, however, he whistles as a means of communication and he can understand his fellow teens. He's also good at pantomiming. Dario has a strong love of animals. 

Dario is also exceptionally skilled in painting, drawing and performing as a magician.

And I know that their genderbend has already been shown in the show, but it seemed so awkward to me that I wanted to make my own

I'm not very good at show style, but I'll definitely try to paint them ( ‾́ ◡ ‾́ )

This is a redraw of one of @yoroke55's drawings. I think I asked him/her a year or two ago if I could trace this, and somehow, I never got around to actually tracing it until now. Since today is the anniversary of this wonderful, adorable, and hilarious cartoon, I wanted to draw each one of my precious dwarfskies, who will always remain in my heart no matter what and no matter how old I get. I can't believe that next year will already be 10 fucking years since this show came out and 2026 will be 10 years since it sadly ended. I still hate that the petition to save the show still doesn't have the amount of signatures it needs.

While I'm on my brief 7D kick, I wanna share this idea that I came up with last night for a 7D Collage AU and then wrote down some concepts for before it hit 1 AM. The basic synopsis is:

At Jollywood University, there are a total of 7 boys with dwarfism attending, and none even know that there are 7 to begin with. After a series of comical mishaps, these 7 boys learn of each other's existence and decide to band together, becoming the only members of a special club dedicated to assisting Dean Delightful. After everyone starts jokingly calling them the Seven Dwarves, they decide to embrace it, but they need to come up with something slightly cooler sounding, so they settle on the 7D, and even adopt the nicknames of the characters they best represent.

Donald “Doc” Damascus

Gerald “Grumpy” Grober

Bad attitude

Could be considered the “jock”, but would prefer to not be referred to as such because it makes him sound like a jerk (Which he is not, according to himself)

Technically not allowed to play guitar in the dorms between the hours of 10 PM and 7 AM, but that never stopped him

Doesn’t realize people are making fun of him when they call him “Happy”

Generalized Anxiety Disorder up the wazoo, has tried medication but they’ve never worked

No one has seen his real face, not many people are certain he has one

Partially deaf, uses hearing aids

Loves animals. Like Happy, not being allowed to bring them into the dorms never stopped him

Has asthma and is allergic to basically everything

Likes video games and making Youtube videos in his spare time (Has like 5 subscribers and 2 of them are his parents)

Secretly does Drag Shows over the weekends to make some extra money (epipens and inhalers are not cheap yall)

Simon “Sleepy” Sanders

Psychology Major (idfk with this one)

Narcolepsy, plus albinism

Relies on his roommate Steven to jot down notes for him most of the time because he can’t stay awake in class if it would save his life.

I haven't come up with designs for them yet, and it's possible I never will. So if anyone else wants to try then please be my guest

THE OFFICAL COLORS AND DESIGN OF THE REVAMP 7D ARE DONE!

This was fun to do honestly! Had a bit of trouble with Sneezy and Sleepy but deadass was having fun with Bashful and Doc’s robes!

Definitely had too much fun with Dopey’s hair, swirly mf who’s killed thousands—

Then I added their colors just incase anybody wanted to use them or see the colors side by side.

Speaking of this AU: THE INFODUMP DOC IS OUT FOR IT RAHHHH!!! 🔥🔥🔥

This took SO LONG. A month of HARDWORK AND DEDICATION. But it’s finally finished! I hope you all have fun reading this Infodump Doc about the AU! I made sure to make if where you can leave comments on it so! If you can’t do that you can always comment or dm me on tumblr about the doc if needed!
