why is it that one of the main criticisms i see of ronance is “oh but robin dating nancy is such a betrayal of steve!!! that’s his ex” (which...is such a fucked up way to look at things? robin isn’t just steve’s sidekick or whatever) but what about if it were vickie x steve? or any girl for that matter? that can be seen as a betrayal of robin. vickie was her first real crush she shared with steve during their friendship, so wouldn’t steve dating her be just as hurtful? or should she have another crush, and steve were to also have a crush on that same girl and date her, wouldn’t that be just as hurtful?

i have a couple theories as to why some of y’all hone in on the ronance aspect, but i’m afraid you won’t like it.
