Names:

-Jenny's full name is Jenny Mary (Smith) Curious Hogleg, common ass name for a queen, she didn't want to burn her neurons by choosing her name.

-Pascal's full name is Pascal Galileo Curious Hogleg, he chose his name himself because 🏳️‍⚧️ and I feel that Pascal loves the names of famous astronomers and scientists in general, that's why Tycho is called Tycho, for Tycho Brahe.

-Vidcund's full name is Vidcund Charles Curious Hogleg because of Charles Darwin... Glarn named him.

-Lazlo's full name is Lazlo Johannes Curious Hogleg because I don't remember why, I think I read it somewhere and I liked it. Kitty named him.

-Jenny loves listening to the Backstreet Boys, when she lived with her brothers she always listened to them; Pascal, Vidcund and Lazlo pretended to hate the musical group, but occasionally hummed their songs.

-Jenny distanced herself from her siblings and family in general because Glarn did not accept her relationship with Pol Smith, she never understood why (and that's why the Curious brothers and her don't have such a high relationship).

-Jenny taught Vidcund about botany.

-Pascal knows how to play piano (basic), write and draw, when he doesn't do anything, he feels stressed. He is a bit pretentious, but because he was only flattered as a child for his achievements, as he grew up he learned to be calmer and control his ego.

-Vidcund went unnoticed by his parents (the curse of the middle child).

-Lazlo loves monkeys because he and Kitty watched Animal Planet together, also because Kitty was a biologist and brought pictures with images of chimpanzees and monkeys just for Lazlo.

-Lazlo has a good relationship with Sinjin because Sinjin took care of him as a child when Glarn and Kitty asked him to (Sinjin and Jenny are the same age).

-Jenny, Pascal and Vidcund can speak Tagalog, Lazlo never learned the language and sometimes his siblings use it to their advantage.

I’m randomly annoyed that the sims fandom ignores that the curious brothers (and Jenny) (and the Singles) are black again

Like please please please I’m actually begging on my hands and knees for y’all to stop whitewashing them (Pascal and Lazlo) and to maybe try to add some black features in your fanart or makeovers/remakes (Vidcund, Jenny, Chloe and Lola too!) because as a black sims fan it makes me really happy that one of the most interesting and popular sims 2 families are black. With a black father and a biracial mother, they are canonically black! And I know a lot of people headcanon otherwise, but looking at Zo and Notzo’s families in the sims 3 proves that they are meant to be black. Please, just… give them the Nervous Subject treatment. I need to see the Curiouses with black features.

my, uh, strangetown sim ethnicity headcanons (using real world location names and not the sims world equivalents)

the beakers and halfdanarsons are white. specifically the beakers were swedish, while leif was danish and ingibjorg was icelandic. the salamis were greek with arabic ancestry. the mcgorks were irish, moira was white while gwrtheyrn was black.

the muendas were meru kenyans who immigrated to simerica and the specter family is moroccan. since i prefer the name "ophelia specter" i like to reinterpret the nigmos family as specters and ichabod's family, making them also moroccan.

the grunts are latine - rock and wanda were mestizo colombians. family name was originally guerra, changed to grunt when they immigrated to america. mary melons was white and descended from french immigrants, but had no personal ties to france.

mike steel was a white latino mexican american. he had a white dad and a mexican mom. that ones based on me thinking donnovan steel and marisol loera were his parents until i realized they were contemporary with darren dreamer, lol! oopsies!

the curious & wheloff families are black americans - they don't really have any known ties to any other location besides the simericas - and hamm hogleg was a moapa native american, while his wife annie was white (hence 2 of their 4 grandkids being white passing in a vanilla game)

glarn's ex-wife glabe, on the other hand, was filipina.

the loners and frehndlys being indian is just canon. i dont have headcanons that elaborate on this further, though.

the loste family were originally from seychelles, or the sims equivalent, thus creole with largely east african and indian heritage. the simnitch family were slavic diaspora americans.

crystal vu is vietnamese american. bleaches her hair blonde but naturally has black hair. and dr. vu is her dad and also vietnamese.

blair mace is mixed race japanese american. dad (larry mace) is white american, and his mom (mystery) was japanese american.
