Thinking about how, when Scar turns red in Third Life, his first actions are collecting flowers to beg to stay with Grian.

That, when faced with being a red life—the first and only red life—his first actions aren’t bloodthirst and anger but desperation to keep the relationship he’s made.

That, in a game where alliances are kept through deeds, debts, and doubt—he offered flowers. He didn’t sell the idea of staying teammates, he didn’t even try. He offered the flowers and begged to stay by Grians side, but was fully prepared to walk away without another word. Was prepared to forget his scamming nature, to lay down flowers and nothing more.

Also, in the image of the flowers being a bouquet, imagine him being gone for hours after his death.

Grian is waiting and Scar is holed up in the forest somewhere meticulously crafting this arrangement despite having no idea what he’s doing. He could only find two flowers, and the mess he puts together isn’t anything anyone would ever sell, but he made it from scratch. He put in the effort, spent hours on it until he deemed it perfect and only then did he bring it to Grian.

It’s ugly, and there is no twine holding it together nor a sheet, but the flowers aren’t wilted. All of them are the most vibrant, healthy flowers he could find and not one is missing a petal due to his hands.

His hands—used to scam, maim, and betray—made gentle for the effort of making something worthy of someone like Grian.

Continuing with Dom Rodimus because I’m a big slut for this idea:

Getarod where Rodimus and Getaway get into a nasty scene, like just rough and degrading and very heavy, and Getaway does like, very much expect Rodimus to just leave. But he doesn’t. He stays, he rubs the aches out where the bondage dug into plating, he works to pull Getaway out of the headspace of degraded pet. Gets him a cube of energon. Doesn’t leave until he’s done his due Diligence and Getaway has confirmed he can leave.

Rodimus x Minimus where Rodimus jokes and plays around during scenes but he’s so diligent in checking in and abiding to what they planned. He fucks up and Minimus safewords and he’s on the job immediately to get everything made right. Knows how to tease and mess with Min in the berthroom and also surprises him just with how diligent the aftercare is. Very attentive to being with Minimus as Minimus, not Ultra Magnus.

And god, sappy Rodimegs. Them working together to explore Megs and Rodimus’s own issues with kink, Megatron letting Rodimus use and dominate him while making Rodimus feel wanted. Thinking about Rodimus pulling on the revenge paint so they can play out some heavier scenes of Rodimus as so revenge seeking Decepticon taking out their anger on their now Autobot former leader. Just all the stuff they get up to then with the loving aftercare of Rodimus and him reminding each other how much they care while Rodimus puts Megs back together after he breaks him.

I LOVE the parallels between Gerald and Eggman in Sonic 3. ESPECIALLY with how they treat Shadow/Stone (their respective henchman/helper).

Eggman's BLATANTLY honest with Stone, and certainly blunt, but he actually DOES care about him. In Sonic 1, he looks down on Stone, calling him a sycophant and stupid ("Way to go, you got that one"). In Sonic 2, he doesn't seem to hold Stone in a higher regard, saying that he and Knuckles should ditch him, and leave him at the Mean Bean. While Stone's completely loyal to him, and it's clear that he cares about Eggman, it's only in Sonic 3 when Eggman actually realizes that Stone IS the only person who ever cared for him.

Meanwhile, Gerald's manipulative. He seems to talk down to Shadow, primarily ordering him around and only bothering to keep him out of harms way during the London heist, BEFORE he has access to the Eclipse Canon. He actively preys on Shadow's grief, telling him that he needs to remember that Maria was taken from them, and that humanity deserves to be destroyed. Gerald doesn't even bother with correcting Eggman when he calls Shadow a "Thermonuclear gerbil". And when Gerald sees that Shadow is now working with Sonic, he says "I see you chosen betrayal. And you were once so useful to me."

Gerald was (likely) only using Shadow as a tool, something he could discard when it no longer had a purpose. But Eggman WANTED to keep Stone around. He IS the reason that Eggman tried to save the world. To Eggman, Stone was MORE than a henchman and sychophant. He was a sychofriend.

Rowan snarled in warning.

Fenrys unslung the bow across his back and nocked an arrow into place. Rowan kept his own bow strapped across his back, the quiver untouched, Gavriel and Lorcan doing the same. No need to waste them on a few soldiers when their aim might be needed with far worse targets later in the day. But one of them had to be noted felling soldiers. For whatever it would do to rally their spirits.

And Fenrys, as fine an archer as Rowan, he'd admit, would do just fine.

Rowan followed the line of Fenrys's arrowhead to where he'd marked one of the bearers of a siege ladder. "Make it impressive," he muttered.

"Mind your own business," Fenrys muttered.

Lorcan said to one of them "Save your breath for the battle, not the gods."

Rowan shot him a look, but the man, gaping at Lorcan, quieted.

"Someone better say something inspiring," Fenrys said through gritted teeth, firing another arrow. "Or these men are going to piss themselves in a minute." For a minute was all they had left, as the first siege tower inched closer.

"You've got the pretty face," Lorcan retorted. "You'd do a better job of it."

"It's too late for speeches," Rowan cut in before Fenrys could reply. "Better to show them what we can do."
