Also I had genuinely forgotten that CQL keeps "LWJ defies everyone and prevents them from entering Demon Subdue Palace when the Burial Mounds are besieged!" as a plot point because I genuinely do not understand why anyone would be besieging or defending it? LXC claims it was after WQ (and ALL the Wen remnants! bc we see them in the background on the stairs!) had surrendered at Koi Tower, so first I thought oh! this must be why LWJ isn't at the pledge conference with everyone else! LWJ was the reason nobody found WWX while he was still unconscious! clever!

but NO, because LQR shows up and drags LWJ back to Cloud Recesses for punishment directly from the Burial Mounds, which means this happened after WWX fell off the cliff, in which case both he and the Wen remnants are definitely dead so WHY WAS LWJ TRYING SO HARD TO DEFEND AN EMPTY SETTLEMENT. c'mon show, I promise you don't have to include plot points for the novel just because they're there if the context for them is gone now, I promissssse.

Part 3 recreating Radars Bear Tiger

So the apoxie sculpt and safety eyes arrived and unfortunately the eyes are too small and rounded for my purposes so I have different ones on the way

Now I stuffed tin foil in the back of the nose, and that did not work. I tested the apoxie sculpt with a thin layer and it both stuck like I wanted and solidified the front (not pictured)

Did a first pass on the nose

Second pass I did some more detailing on the mouth, nose, and separated the muzzle a bit

I pinned some scrap fabric around the fur to protect it while I sprayed a sealant (Mr Super Clear) to prep for painting

After this will likely be the last and final pictures, I'll paint the muzzle, eyes, stuff and sew the bear closed :)

Y'all are TRULY sleeping on Hyacinth by S.M. LaViolette. Like, I really enjoyed Phoebe (first book in the series), but Hyacinth is on another level. It features:

--a scarred libertine duke

--a neurodivergent heroine (23 to his 36) who happens to be KILLER at playing cards (in part because she's counting them) and sneaks out at night to play them while dressed as a very awkward young man

--a very casual interest in kink from her that makes him (a kinky man) go "O_O"

--a shockingly fabulous scene in which he tries to get her to admit she's a girl by taking her to a brothel, making her watch two people fuck while sitting beside him, and rattling off like 75 slang phrases for "jerking it" before being like "there's nothing WRONG with it bOY MEN MASTURBATE IN FRONT OF EACH OTHER ALLLL THE TIME" and starting to pull his dick out

Okay I don't think I can fit into my essay but I just wanna shine a little love on the brilliant bit of framing in Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001) around 1:00:46 to 1:01:53 where Hedwig explains that love is creating to Tommy. Then she gets struck with an idea and paints a mark on his forehead. When she holds up the mirror, the shot frames it so Tommy's reflection lines up with her own. Symbolizing how she feels he completes her (like in The Origin of Love!!!!!) only for him to move the mirror to better see the mark. Kind of like. Showing that he doesn't feel the same way/is more focused on how the mark makes HIM feel.
