" Did you hear that howl ? " (from Elinor)
Heathcliff had been up late once again, unable to fend off the nightmares, the cold sweats, the banging on his bedroom window.
Let me in!
As he walked down the hallway idly, half of his candle melted down and over his and, he heard a soft female voice.
Miss Dashwood, one of his new tenants staying at Wuthering Heights. She was odd but well meaning, not that Heathcliff cared. Her family was rather annoying, but their money was coming in and that's what truly mattered. As he stopped, he turned slowly to see the young woman standing with face pressed against the thick glass of the bedroom window.
Upon hearing her query, he swallowed slightly with a huff.
"No, and if you know what's best for you, you would draw the curtains and go to bed at once." He lied, continuing to make his way outside to go for one of his early morning walks.

"There is a human slaughterhouse
Up on the hill, the road is red
And those who ignore
And those who pretend
It does not exist
End up in its hall
My blood goes to work
I hear the howl
There is a grove of bleached bones
Where lupins vomit children's limbs
Taking all their liberties
With parts of human anatomy
And in the hollow of a restless soul
Lies no remorse and no disgust
Every kill is clean and pure
Every thought is cleansed in growls
There is a grove of tortured forms
Where all is dark and deeds are foul
And those who ignore
And those who pretend
That the howl is a joke
Their children lie dead
My blood goes to work
I hear the howl
And then my blood just goes to work
And then I hear the howl
(There is a human slaughterhouse
Up on the hill
The road is red)
And then my blood just goes to work
And then I hear the howl
(And those who ignore
And those who pretend
It does not exist
End up in its hall)
And then my blood just goes to work
And then I hear the howl
Blood just goes to work
And then I hear the howl
Blood just goes to work
And then I hear the howl
Blood just goes to work
And then I hear the howl
And then my blood just goes to work
And then I hear the howl”
