Taking a break from horror posts because I have to give a tribute to this beautiful woman here.

Anime voice actress Rachael Lillis has passed away from complications due to breast cancer on August 10, 2024. Lillis was known for her voice work with 4Kids Entertainment, TAJ Productions, Central Park Media and Studiopolis. Her most famous roles are Jessie, Misty and Jigglypuff in the first eight seasons of the "Pokémon" animé as well as the titular character in "Revolutionary Girl Utena" and in "The Irresponsible Captain Tylor."

Lillis was known for her versatile vocal range and a mezzo Soprano voice. She was an amazing voice actress and woman, and she will be dearly missed.

I got around to watching "Irresponsible Captain Tylor"! (It's on Youtube btw). It's a really fun show and Tylor is just great. I was never able to figure out how he would react to situations which makes it so interesting to watch! ^^ Also he's just so chill. I wish I could be a little more like that haha.

I love the 90s-Anime aesthetic and tried to incoporate a little bit of it in this fanart. I hope you like it!

Okay, currently on episode 9 of 26 of The Irresponsible Captain Tylor, and I’m honestly enjoying the heck out of it? Picture someone taking a setting that probably wouldn’t look out of place in a series like Gundam or the old Voltron anime, but then grab a guy from some slice-of-life comedy and make him the main character, and also have him getting his genre all over everything. The result is stakes enough to make you pay attention, but scenarios and interactions that tend to leave you grinning, and a surprisingly good dub (especially considering that it came out in 1993).

Anyway, it’s a Nozomi Entertainment anime, and they have the entire series for free on their youtube channel, both subbed and dubbed, so if you’re looking for some fun, old-school sci-fi and humour, I’d definitely recommend giving it a look!
