The “Mr Mime is Ash’s dad” theory mildly irks me NOT because I don’t like it or whatever but bc the canon reason Mimey is there is just SO MUCH FUNNER. For plot related reasons Ash dresses up as a Mr Mime in a circus just outside Pallet town but gets kidnapped by Team Rocket. Brock and Misty are like “oh they’ll let him go once they realise he’s not a Pokemon, we should tell Delia that he’s gonna show up at her house in a Mr Mime costume so she isn’t freaked out” but then an ACTUAL Mr Mime shows up at her house before he does and because Delia is as faceblind as her son she mistakes it for him. And this Mr Mime is like “oh I like it here” and starts helping out around the house doing chores in exchange for food. And then when Ash DOES get home he’s like “mom why is there a Mr Mime here” and she goes “oops! Well he helps more around the house than you so I’m keeping him” and does. Mimey is not Ash’s dad. Mimey is his step-brother and canonically the favourite child

I love how in the Jirachi movie there's multiple scenes of Ash and Max just hanging out and Ash being Max's big brother!

It's so adorable and I love them. Ash taught Max how to skip stones, and comforted Max over Jirachi going back to sleep, and they even slept slumped together and it's just so cute!

It's also really interesting how easily Ash slips into the role of big bro, not just with Max but Bonnie and even, in my opinion, Dawn[If you ship Ash and Dawn I get it, but to me ive always seen them as siblings]. Ash is always looking out for those younger than him in the middle seasons, and it's such a cool detail when you compare him to Indigo and Johto, where a lot of the time Ash was the one looked after by Brock and Misty, showing that he's matured mentally[until Sun and Moon messed it up], even if it's just slightly.

Ash's relationships with Max and Bonnie are way differnet than their relationships with May and Clemont, respectively, but also very brotherly. Ash is still wild but he's such a good role model for those two kids, and I so wish we got an Ash v Max battle in canon like they promised at the end of Battle Frontier

With how big and deep the plot is, especially with the details of the story differing slightly based on the version, I wonder how the anime’s gonna tackle Scarlet and Violet—especially if they keep Ash as the main character

Honestly, with the story themes and the presence of a school setting never mind that the Sun and Moon anime already did the school premise, a main trio of friends who all have their own depth and character development, and the main protagonist befriending a super-powerful creature practically right out the gate, I feel like it could be a Japan’s equivalent to The Owl House (yes even more so than Little Witch Academia, bite me)

Ruby and Silver Au

Several times Ash backs on time to avoid the world worse fate, destruction by a angered legendary, he failed a lot, Sure thing, But even he was a child at the chaos start.

The different Satoshis start to accumulate in one timeline, and when one fails, they get another brother to their group.

Red was the first, Silver the second, curiously red is quite younger than Silver.

the timeline they had both fallen had a toddler ash, they tried not to envolve with the child, they did! But their friends were right, you can't say no when he do the puppy eyes.

They help Baby Ash grow happily after the left of his/their dad, they didn't even feel bad for the man run out of their life, well they were young when it happened, no one to blame.

Curiously Delia ended up adopting both even if they did avoid the woman gaze, maybe what people says is right, mothers have a third eye when if comes to their children (even if they're not actually her children anymore)
