i think shri’iia when she was still in menzoberranzan would def be an oath of the crown paladin/ or even conquest but i think oath of the crown is more fitting. she pledged her oath and loyalty to lolth and to her Matriarch to serve and enact lolth’s will and she punished anyone who turns away from the spider queen. enacting lolth’s/or her matriarch’s will meant that she helped instigate conflict and war between the noble houses (bc lolth thrives on chaos), and generally just killed anyone who her matriarch orders her to kill so that she can forever keep their house as the 4th most powerful noble house in the city. in short, she really was her matriarch’s well trained hound and she was like … devoted and loyal to lolth that it bordered on fanaticism. like she was so obsessed ok, hence why i think oath of the crown is more fitting since she wanted to preserve the status quo bc it was what lolth desired.

#and like her oathbreaking act is when she consciously and deliberately went against what lolth wanted out of her own fear and paranoia …!#i think shri’iia is very used to following the status quo and she has a crippling need to fit in bc she knows what happens to those who #defy. like she’s the one who kills them ofc she knows what will happen lol #it’s very the fawning trauma response where she tries to appease and please the higher power so she doesn’t get hurt #but she still gets hurt and punished anyway. like i hc after her oathbreaking there’s a scene in the underdark where once she steps foot on #the lolth drow cache area she starts to heave out and vomit spiders bc she’s getting punished and they’re like wtf…..#and she’s like on her knees. tears running down her cheek drool on her chin snot on her lip. she’s doing this bc she loves me ok….!!!!!!#why else would she send me her babies if she didn’t care abt me.. its just one of her trials i passed this before….!!!! i can do it again…!#post that scene ^ is when she reveals the truth abt herself but she’s still in denial..#abt the oath breaking and earning lolth’s contempt. and she still thinks she can win her love back bc she doesn’t want to acknowledge she #lost everything and without lolth she is NOTHING….!!!!!!#shut up about bg3.
