I've been thinking a lot about Goultard's system and have some headcanons about how it works. I wanted to create a new alter, which - just like Vlad represents Gou's rage, hatred, blood-lust - would be a reflection of his pain and fears, as well as a lot of other undesirable repressed memories and emotions. Disgust, guilt, grief, self-hatred... Vanya remembers the most accurately the feeling of being inhabited for centuries by the symbiote, and faces most of the consequences of the trauma it caused.

I was listening to Body Betrays Itself by Pharmakon as well as Day of Tears and Mourning by Ligna Ignota while coming up with him, so you can listen too if you want to get a feel of what I was going for :)

EDIT : I completely forgot to mention that Vanya is inhabited by an introject alter of the symbiote.
