Originally I had started to watch The Owl House when it was first airing. Then I fell off a few episodes in, not because the series lost my interest but because other things came up. Then I just sort of forgot about it until seeing all the talk of the Season 3 special. So I decided to rewatch the entire series and catch up. I really really really enjoy the series! It had been awhile since I really felt good about making a self insert, but geez did I have fun with this one! Nell is THE Apple Butcher. She has a small farm in the Forearm Forest? Where she grows strange plants, raises stranger creatures and BATTLES IT OUT WITH THE MONSTROUS APPLES.  I’m a 90′s kid so a lot of the design has references to the 90′s! 

Speaking of: Nell collects Fearby! And it’d be really cool if any of you would use the little Fearby bases I posted and design some Fearby for her collection! I’ll make a little shelf to display them all on

Some other facts about them:

- Attended Hexside with Eda, Lilith, Raine, Darius, Alador, and Odalia.

- Their surname was originally Mirthorb, but was changed to Matibag from their adoptive family in the human realm.

- They ended up back in Gravesfield to attend a meeting with other historians, and ended up back in the Boiling Isles.

- Their time in the human realm made them lose touch with magic, not to mention they weren't the best at magic to begin with.

- They would help Belos rebuild the portal following Eda's petrification ceremony.
