Series I thought I'd dislike but ended up loving: Bastards vs. Zombies (I am not gonna lie, I thought it was gonna be overhyped, I was so freaking wrong, THIS SERIES IS AMAZINGGGGGG)

Random thoughts:

So here's how I've been devouring channels lately:

The main thing is that it depends on how many videos it has. If it doesn't have too many, I'll start by watching any one-shots first, then move on to the series. If it has a lot of videos, I start by watching the series first (usually the shortest ones first, but I'll jump around a bit if there's nothing connecting), then move on to the one-shots and any other videos after. In both cases, I always save the most popular series or the series I see everyone talk about last (idk why exactly yet).

Right, now that that random tidbit is out of the way, onto the meat of this thing. 387 VIDEOS. RIGHT THEN. LONG BINGE INDEED.

Ok, overall opinion- writing is great, though I think I need to rewatch the Querian Saga and Space Pirates, those kinda flew over my head a bit, but at least I now understand how Fern's Break of Dawn came about- humor is EXCELLENT, and acting is stellar from everyone that was involved in these- AND great use of music too. And points for making me cry. Very very satisfied with this one...

okay so birds of valhalla ep 3 dropped tonight (meaning bvz 6 is possibly in the making if not gba please take a break!!!) but I wanna go over some things. Birds Of Valhalla is written and mostly voiced by @goodboyaudios

THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS TO THE SERIES EPISODE 3

so the memory stuff, we’re going through the different series gba has. we had Ulysses/Odysseus and Poseidon/Neptune in a conflict with the telescope. where are they from? The Alien God series with Little One/Pandora. With Ulysses in the ‘Fourseen’ and Neptune from Pandora. But oddly, it’s a moment of despair. Neptune holding Ulysses back from seeing his family because of the ‘trial’. We can tell this is post 7~ years with the mention of the ‘sea witch’ Calypso with quote;

“ you seem pretty content with that sea witch~ ”

“ calypso… how did you know about that? ”

So tldr, we can say that the memory is a moment of despair and conflict for one party whether it be a king and a cheater begging with a space god or a space pirate standing up against a genocide.

Bring in Episode Three; Twin Bird Boys Find A Sword. I want to believe that it’s a new version of Yargwen’s sword but idk. To the main lore, this is when Mortallous (?) loses his arm. Because of Pre Space Pirates genocide of the Octopoids. While in the hallucinations, the words “Stop….You’re scaring me.” flash on the screen as someone (we can guess it’s Yargwen) gasps slightly. This could be a relation back to Space Pirates. I forget the exact episode but S1 Kalamos says that to Yargwen when he and Paradise are arguing about god knows what.

i think we’ll see important lore snippets from finished gba series. we got Fourseen/Pandora, SPS. Maybe MoTH next hopefully with a skull? I might add more info later idk probably not but as you can probably tell by now that I have my own lore of my own versions of the listeners. You guys can ask my listeners some questions about them (please 🙏), they will be happy to answer lol.

If you guys want, I might draw some comics showing lore (I doubt it but I really want to) or maybe doing some dedicated posts to my listeners’ own lore and stuff? I can’t really promise that I would, because of my school work lol.

I also can’t promise that my lore will be as good as full novel series and all the audio rp accounts like GBA, Escaped audios, etc. So please forgive me if my lore is kinda…eh…if I ever come up with a fully fleshed out character with lore beyond the actual series.

What I’ve realized while trying to explain Audio Roleplay and Bastard Warrior/Albus York to a friend of mine is, GBA and Escaped have written a shit ton of Audio RP series.

If you don’t rope in sequels into one, Escaped has written 9 series and GBA has written 8.

THATS A SHIT LOAD.

And that’s excluding shorter one offs.

I didnt include any of GBA’s earliest work before Querian Saga, so it’s probably closer to 10 or 11.

I also didnt include Escaped’s R0M30 or the Inanimate object thing or Goblin or Thaddeus.

All within the past 4 years.

I've re-listened to this series so many times even after I told myself I'd re-listen to The Querian Saga
