Well, it's been over a year since I've done one, but I think it's time for another: Vacation-Staycation Eternal Blu-ray Catch-up! 🎞️ Chapter 1: The Alfred Hitchcock Classics Collection [4K] 🎬 I begin with this new collection of Alfred Hitchcock films in 4K (this is the second Hitchcock 4K collection), of which I've already watched two (Saboteur and Shadow of a Doubt). But I am going to continue forward with Marnie, Family Plot, and The Trouble with Harry. So far they look great, and I hope they continue putting Hitchcock on 4K. A quick note for each- Saboteur looks better than ever, and was the first appearance of Norman Lloyd (an actor who lived until 106!), and feels a bit like a mid-step between the 39 Steps and North by Northwest. Shadow of a Doubt was often sited by Hitchcock as his favorite, and Joseph Cotton is very convincingly creepy. Marnie had Sean Connery and Tippi Hedren, and I really hope they did better by it for the 4K than the just alright blu-ray transfer. Family Plot was Hitchcock's last film, and while flawed, was better than it gets credit for.
