PSA: Lululemon Unethical Business Practice

ALWAYS CHECK THE PRICE THATS BEING RUNG UP!!!

My mom and I tried to buy the pants that were listed at $98. It, and all other pants of this style In the store were labeled as $98 (I have photos of the tagged price, and online was listed as $98 as well). When it was rung up, it came up as $118. The employees refused to give it at the price labeled and claimed the corporate office called that morning to change the price, and kept asking for us to pay the higher price. The manager claimed she didn’t have the ability to change the price manually (I don’t think I believe this. I used to work retail and managers always have that authority, but maybe Lulu is different?). They then didn’t pull the product from the floor that was listed at the lower price (but ringing up higher) until we later came back to ask for a supervisor, who they wouldn’t call for us.

If we weren’t paying attention, we would have paid the higher price without noticing. And now the customer service line is closed on Sundays and they refused to get a higher level employee on the phone. The whole thing was very very unethical.

Just remember to ALWAYS pay attention to the price that’s rung up, they clearly were hoping some people would buy it at the higher price without noticing.
