{ zombie headcanons }

so i’m sure as the group goes on, this post will change, but based on what we witnessed in mombie dearest and lore this is what i am going by thus far:

jo is still very much dead. she will not age, she can not have children, and, as she doesn’t have a real functioning digestive system or nerves, she will not feel hunger, thirst, and is incapable of feeling true physical pain.

she can eat and drink, only in small amounts, and it will not provide any nourishment.

as her spirit is inhabiting her corpse, she can feel emotional pain/perceive physical pain only if she witnesses the injury or is made aware of it through other means ( the pain is purely psychological )

while she appears human to the naked eye, if she is viewed in a mirror living creatures are able to see her true appearance, that of a corpse.

she is incapable of seeing her true form

although she looks just as she used to, her skin is paler ( if that’s possible, she’s already white as mayo ) and her body temperature is slightly lower than normal

as magic is the only thing keeping her on the physical plane, if the magic disappears, she will too

she suffers from blackouts and is unaware of what occurs during them 

during these spells her true form is exposed as well

Hope’s hybrids

Caroline and Alaric (But Hope pretends they don’t know because it is easier that way)

Freya (Hope went to Freya when she triggered it. Think like Henry in TO)

Hayley (Found out at the Winter Wonderland party)

Klaus (Found out when he first say Hope again)

Josie Saltzman (found out overhearing her parents talking. Confirmed by Hope)

Hope keeps her room really clean. Everything has a place and it should stay there. Clothes do end up on the floor but by the end of the day? She picks them up and puts them in the hamper. If Hope’s room is too clean (Which in the last six months it is) it shows that she has a power struggle within herself. It shows that she is struggling in her personal life and needs control. If Hope’s room is a reck, it means she lost that struggle within herself for the moment.

Hope’s bunny (Mr.Binx) is always on Hope’s bed unless she has someone over that isn’t her hybrids, Josie, her mother, or her father.

A painting easel is in her room that is by the window so that she can paint in the natural light of the day. 

Hope using magic to increase her space in her room? Very likely. 

A vanity in her room full of her makeup that she uses every day. Winged eyeliner, light lipstick, the daily palette that she uses to go with her school uniform, foundation, etc and pushed to the back is more of her weekend things like for when she goes out and about sort of thing.

Hope’s desk has her school books on one side, laptop on the other (password protected), her dish of little candies and mints for when she is studying, the cup full of her favorite pens all on her desk.

Bed is girly and pink. The comforter is pink and fuzzy (not that she really needs it as she runs hot) and underneath is a paw print sheet unless she has laundry that she needs to do

Fiery lights are a thing in Hope’s room hanging from the ceiling for dainty light. 

In one corner of her room, there is a beanbag chair that she will sit at and read her books at or sketch.

𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐲𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐬 are a pack. Hope calls it the 𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤 (Totally after the sun and the moon curse that was a work of fiction and really was a curse placed on her father that denied him of being the first Hybrid that was broken thanks to Elena, Jenna, a witch, and a werewolf). The reason for the pack name is because they are not bound by the sun or even the moon but they are bound to Hope (the only tribrid).

Hope didn’t name the pack that she was creating until a year and two months after Henry had been murdered. Hope keeps a book full of information on her hybrids with the date of their death and the time of their transition into being a hybrid (Or she takes a guess on it and that is what she writes in the book). If one of her hybrids are killed, she writes that down as well in red.

At first, Hope had only wanted the money and had no real intention on leading them. In fact, she had left the two other hybrids on their own (Didn’t even tell her mother that she had turned more than just Henry). When Henry was murdered, Hope suddenly regretted what she had done even for the money of it. 

The charge for being turned into a hybrid? 100 dollars each (As normally one would require payment half before and half after). She made three hundred dollars on this at fifteen years old. She doesn’t ask them how they got the money and didn’t care how they came up with the cash.

When Hope came back to school, she realized even more so what it meant to have done it. The sire bond was a hard thing to deal with as she had to learn ways to say things that wouldn’t lead the two remaining members of the pack from doing whatever she said as she believed in free will. That doesn’t mean that she didn’t use it when needed. If one of her hybrids was having a meltdown, she would gladly use it to calm them down.

Hope had learned from Henry’s death that she couldn’t run from this. She had to learn to be a leader and do what was best for the two remaining hybrids even if it wasn’t always the best thing for her.  With Henry gone, she found comfort in the two remaining and up until she was eighteen years old, they were the only ones that she allowed in her room, allowed into her heart even just a little bit. She is close to her hybrids in ways and will lay down her life for them as she doesn’t want another one of them to end up dead. 

Now at 20 years old, she is looking to expand the pack that she had sworn would never get more members to it. Hope might not ask for money anymore but loyalty? The willingness for them to die for her? That is enough payment as she knows that they would do what she would do for them plus she is their leader and knows what it feels like to transition on a full moon and the guilt of killing someone. Hope plans to make a pack of at least six more members (Making it eight members in the pack, when she is done at least for this moment in time as Hope, will live forever as will her pack so she has FOREVER to explain it to be more than eight hybrids).

This became a little long so I put it under a read more.

This rp started up around December as it was implied that Christmas (Or other holidays for any other characters that don’t celebrate) was coming. She has been dead five months (So prior to this rp opening).

Hope had gone to the Bayou in June and tried to bring her mother back from the dead. She had wanted to bring back both of her parents  She had been sitting on the docks where she laid her mother to rest with everything that she had needed for her spell to work but she had been way too emotional (And we know that emotions ruin spells), wasn’t pulling the weight that she needed and if she had asked the twins to siphon some of the magic to spread it between three bodies instead of one, she would have been good. 

Hope’s magic is powerful. She is a first born in her own right (Meaning Nikolina might be a firstborn of an untriggered werewolf and a witch) but Hope was the firstborn of the Hybrid and a werewolf Alpha.  Dalhia said that Hope was a powerful witch, it was mentioned before that people thought Hope could bring the end of days, create mass destruction herself with no help. People can often misjudge her and that is on them because she is scary (She scares herself). People are allowed to misjudge her, think she can’t do much, etc. Adds drama and not all characters would know her as a powerful little witch. 

One might ask, why if someone as a powerful as Hope die? Easy, she takes on big tasks and overloads herself.  She can handle powerful spells but one misstep and you can end of up dead. 

Dalhia mentioned to Klaus that Hope’s magic was tainted with the werewolf and vampire temper and that is true. 

Hope has PTSD, she avoids abandon houses (meaning you likely won't see her at some party at an abandoned home), she avoids trusting new people (Mostly new romantic interests) because last time she trusted someone, she was burned. There is more to this but trying to not go into a whole lot of detail on this one.

Landon? He was a lucky boy to be trusted enough (I sort of headcanon that they might be a thing since we sort of follow canon and it looks they were/are headed to be something in the show even for a little while. More will come of the Landon things when we have a Landon and my ideas are okayed by them).

Hope clearly isn’t a virgin and she isn’t ashamed to admit it. She will not let the world shame her for what she wants. She is a modern day woman with needs and she will not let someone tell her what to do with her body and that includes what to wear. low cut tops? Check, she wears them. Short skirts? She wears them when she wants. 

Hope’s style is with a lot of leather. She wears a lot of her mother’s old clothing that was in her closet when she died. Most of it had to be fitted to her body as she is smaller than her very tall mother but Hope does have a few pieces that still are big on her that she wears to bed when she missed Hayley. (So Hayley can come and get those few pieces from Hope’s closet.)

Both Mikaelson girls are powerful and Hope will love her sister when she finds out who she is

the people that knew of Hope being dead? Maybe one of her aunts, Alaric and that is about it. The list was really small.

Hope gets medication from Rosalind (teacher at the school). Mostly herbs, sleep medication, etc. She is desperate to sleep, she needs to calm her mind and she is already dead so why not? 

Goes to therapy weekly because it is needed and normally after therapy, she goes for a run in the woods (Which can be really dangerous for others that might be out in the woods).

Hope died on June 15th, 2032.

Hope and her hybrids because angsty feels

A meltdown/breakdown and magic breaking things. So likely an anxiety attack brought on being or feeling cornered. 

Hope choking someone thinking they are someone else is an option because she is on edge, fighty and likely would need to be pulled off someone else. (I had answered an ask meme once that was settled around her thinking the other person was Roman and she pinned them to a tree. It was an interesting take)

Anything involving her parents and family. Honestly, she finally has almost all of them back with her like she has dreamed.

One of Hope’s aunts knowing she is dead and another one finding out about it.

Hope dealing her blood again to someone and creating another hybrid or two is always on the table. 

Sisterly feels? Those are always needed.

Someone noticing her on edge nature, how she has changed over time

Sofia’s hearing aid is on her left side. There is a blinking little light that some might notice Not every hearing aid has this feature, I know some people that have never even heard of this at all 

You can notice a hearing aid. Hair pushed back or pulled back, if one is looking you can tell sometimes depending on the brand Behind the ear hearing aid. Example of that is here.

She hasn’t had full complete hearing since she was born. This wasn’t something that could be ‘fixed’ and her parents to push a cochlear implant on her and had thought that she was alright just the way she was.

When she was little, she was excited to get different colored molds that go into the ear and the animal clips that are put on her shirt so she wouldn’t end up with her hearing aid out on the playground.

Just because her parents were understanding and took time to educate themselves, doesn’t mean others were. Her loving parents stood up for her but ableism was all around her

Sofia had a friend’s mother constantly claim that she was faking it, that she was choosing what she wanted to hear

Teachers were accommodating to a certain point but they can’t do a whole lot so that left for her to miss a lot of important information in class.

if you turn away from her when you are speaking, chances are she will only get half of what you are saying

She isn’t balanced as she used to be (As when your hearing is messed up,  your balance is as well. Ask me. I have fallen on my ass so many times for no reason)

Adults are asked to speak clearly and slowly (but not so slow that it is just word....pause...word...pause) and so are children if you want your point across.

Words that sound the same like knife and wife can be easily mistaken. Put so can words that don’t rhyme at all

Songs with a heavy beat are her favorite because the vibration is something that she pays attention to. Lyrics? She can’t always catch them.
