Do you know any blogs or YouTube channels, etc, run by detrans women who had lower surgery? I'm in a grey area with how I feel about my surgery. Sometimes I'm ok with it and am glad I don't have to deal with certain things, but then sometimes I'm distraught that it'll never be the same. Even if I got a miracle vaginoplasty to "reverse" it (I still have the muscle, but closed and the 'mucosa lining' gone) it wouldn't be the same. I wish I could find others like me, I'm ok but feeling a bit alone.
It's very rarely that I come across detrans women who've had lower surgery (aside from only hysterectomy), and the one video on youtube I came across fairly recently, of a detrans woman who had phallo, has now been made private, and she didn't want the link spread without her permission. Sadly, I also did not watch it while it was still up. I couldn't stomach such a heavy topic at the time, so I put it aside to maybe watch later, but I guess that's not happening. I just looked it up now and saw that it has been made private. So, dang it! I have a lot of feelings about it myself because I was very close to getting lower surgery, but then detransitioned before it happened. I guess it gives me a little bit of coldsweats if I think about it too deeply. But anyhow.
I've also come across an article of another detrans woman who had phallo, which I reblogged here on tumblr a while ago. At least I don't think that was the same person. I tried googling her, but nothing else came up, aside from that article. That might not be what you're looking for, but here's a link to it anyway, because unfortunately that's all I've got: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/im-still-debbie-man-reveals-13532989
I did get an anon once which was from someone who had phallo and expressed a wish to detransition, and then another who had metoidioplasty, but that's all I've heard. I've stumbled across a fair amount of detrans men who had lower surgery, but I get the impression it's far rarer among detrans women. But with the few that I've come across, even though I can't prove their existence to you or tell their experiences, I know that you're not entirely alone. That might be a bleak comfort, though. I'm glad that you're okay, but I also understand that must be distressing at times too, and I also get that you feel alone about it. Because yeah, it’s rarely ever talked about, and I’m also getting many who have gone through it probably don’t wanna talk about it randomly online. Probably because they feel alone about it, like you do. It does take some courage to talk openly about detransition, but yeah, I too wish more would. I'd suggest you bring up your question on r/detrans as there might possibly be someone there who's had lower surgery as well, or some who might know of a blog or youtube channel that isn't made private. Just because that’s the only larger detrans community that I’m aware of. Not everyone likes it, but I definitely feel a lot less alone myself since joining it. I don't personally read much, so there could be tons of detrans blogs out there that I'm not aware of. Out of my followers here on tumblr, whom are detrans, I've no idea if any of them had lower surgery. If so, they ain't vocal about it.
But perhaps some of my followers, regardless of your own surgical status, might know of a blog or youtube channel to recommend? (I feel useless, halp lol.)
