Okay! My response to this is long, so I’m gonna put a read more and hope it works 😬

First off: There is no need to thank me for answering the asks, it’s just something I have a good time doing 🌺

Next: I definitely think, though, that some of that has to do with the fact that this is still a blog with a “small-ish” following and so my inbox is never like crazy full or always booming. 🧐I have a hunch that blogs with larger followings might have that issue and it might be exhausting and feel like a lot of pressure for the authors running those blogs to always answer anons with a cheery disposition. That’s not to say that there’s never been a time when an author has been rude to an anon, but I can also totally understand people getting annoyed at getting messages that all ask the same question over and over again. Especially when the author has answered it or asked people not to ask about it and people don’t really listen. Tbh I technically made a post that said I really didn’t want people to continue asking about updates, but people still do. At first I was admittedly less than happy at the idea that people might be ignoring my wishes, but now I just kind of assume people haven’t seen that post and answer the question anyway. That’s a choice that I make, but its not necessarily one I would always make, if that makes sense? it’s also not something that every other person needs to be doing either, since they have their own blogs that they run how they see fit. But I do think that a lot of anons don’t realize that even when they don’t mean to, when they express their enthusiasm about a piece by sending asks like “when is the next part coming out” or “not pressuring u but when...”, it might still have a stressing effect on the author or might still make them feel as though no one is respecting their wishes about people not asking about updates. Some anons also might not care about how they come off and have decided the chance that the author will break down and answer the question is enough of a motivation to send the ask anyway. And while it’s great to have a good rapport going between authors and anons, I think it’s important for ppl to remember that authors aren’t selling a product, they’re sharing part of their craft if you will. And the same thing goes for other content creators. So constantly questioning them about updates or sequels or something like that may naturally lead to people putting out angry responses to those asks. I’m saying this because I don’t want to give the impression that I think the authors who get hate mail from anons deserve it because they didn’t answer an anon’s inquiry with a customer service smile. Like this isnt some bank robbery where if authors just asnwer every single question they get ‘nicely’ nobody gets hate mail. The fact that I said I often give people the benefit of the doubt is really just for my own sanity and not to make it sound like im taking some moral high ground that differentiates me from other creators or anything. there are days where i just log out because my ask box contents annoy me lol and i dont want to tempt fate and post soemthing petty.  Sorry for the long post lol I just read this and it really got me thinking about stuff like this

i guess i'll always feel like... not good enough. and i think that's always where my passion dies out. and if i'm honest, i think i notice it the most in caratblr out of anything else. it always feels weirdly competitive. gif the mv first. make your sets for the new gose episode and get them posted as fast as you can but also make them look good. there's a new fancam? there will be gifsets already uploaded before you even view the first few seconds of it.

and it's not that i would ever ask another creator to slow down because if they're genuinely enjoying making their content then go for it? have fun? i just wish people consumed content better. if you aren't a "big name" then you aren't going to get notes. sometimes it feels like if you aren't a part of closed network that you aren't going to get anything either. or maybe people just... don't want to reblog things.

i don't know. i just notice it the most in caratblr compared to the other groups i made gifs for. i think that's honestly why i really prefer making content for groups like treasure or golcha? its just... more comfortable. i don't feel like i'm constantly competing with other people to produce something for them.

i make a gifset of hyunsuk and i feel at home with getting reblogs from my mutuals and seeing people be nice in the notes. i make that skz + red set and i see some ppl being super nice and calling it pretty/stunning or pointing out the way felix looks in one of the gifs.

which isnt to say caratblr isnt nice. i think abt the sweet tags i get usually from my mutuals, sometimes from ppl outside that circle, too. but idk, i just notice an imbalance more of reblogs to likes more often there. i compare myself to other creators who get hundreds of notes which is probably my own damn fault for comparing so much.

and i think that just... genuinely impacts my enjoyment of things. sometimes im like "oh maybe it'll be fun to gif the new mv haha" or something and then i remember oh, right, im not talented enough for that. other people are going to do it and do it better every single time so why should i try?

also lmao its just hard to be on tumblr in general when stuff like this happens. logic says "take a break for a few days" but i just... i dont want to. i like being here. i like interacting with my mutuals. i just know i'm going to sit there and feel fucking awful though if i try to scroll through my dash. and if i take a break for too long, then it feels like im falling even further behind. i already have to take a fucking extra semester to finish my schooling, i feel even more pathetic falling behind in a hobby that i actually like.

Recently though, my mother and myself have had a falling out. She's holding my car over my head. She says since she paid for a month of insurance she has free reign over using my car. The car is in my name, and as far as I'm aware based on documents the insurance is as well. The only difference is she paid for that one month of insurance for me. And that month she paid for is still active. So like I said, she is holding the car over my head. I left my house the other night with my car key so she couldn't use it - This is after everyone I asked that I knew told me to take the keys. She is also living with me, I am renting the home. She is making threats through text messages saying that if I don't return the car key she will cancel my policy. Is that possible for her to do?
