The Ungaphelimoya Youth Forum was at the #TheTotalShutdown movement supporting their march against gender based violence on the 1st of August 2018. As a youth forum, we felt the need to participate in this protest march as many of us have either being victims of gender based violence or are affected by it. Our chairperson Bella Makhubo, who is also one of our media and communications representative, who had the chance to document what went down at the march and had the privilege to also get hold of one of the national spokesperson of the task team for the #TheTotalShutdown Loyiso Saliso, please listen to the recording here.

We also have a clip of the media and communications spokesperson of the task team for the #TheTotalShutdown Avela Faye speaking to the people at the Union Buildings in Pretoria on the day of the march.
