@herrrna I didn't ask them to do Front Splits. I asked them to do Half Splits or a Hamstring Stretch. The ladies saw, Loren, the guy in the back, doing his splits and they also wanted to give it a try. Yes, no joke. This guy was working on his front splits. 😜 . . . #splitseverydamnday #splits #frontsplit #hanumanasana #hipopener #hathayoga #stretch #flexibility #yocohana #theyogaco #yocoloft #sgyoga #sgyogis #yogasingapore #sgfitness #sgfitfam #yogawithherna #practiceandalliscoming (at Yogi in the Light)

COUNTDOWN / Just a few more days before we uproot to a brand new space for real. The feeling didn't hit me until I saw all the boxes stack up and the studio become empty. Change and growth is the only constant and it has been such a wild ride. It's still no time for reflection yet but we continue trudging through each and every day, becoming stronger, better, and closer. I will miss lying down on the mats in this space in between classes, staring at the ceiling, gazing out of the window, marveling in how blessed I am to be a part of this, amazed by how crazy things have been, and humbled by how much growth the universe has given me. As we approach the end of the year with bated breath, we will ourselves to harness however much power we may have to create something special, amazing, and some place we call, home. #theyogaco #loveandalliscoming (Instagram: @sassyyogi) (at The Yoga Co.)

In the times that we live in, we’re basically programmed to keep looking for the next exciting thing. We are in this constant search for new things to keep ourselves (our senses) stimulated. And we see that in the yoga practice too. Sometimes we feel like we need new, more “advanced” poses to prove to ourselves that we’re progressing in our practice. . Ashtanga Yoga is such a humbling beautiful practice. We do the same sequence every day, and over time we learn to experience different layers of depth within these same poses. We start seeing the pose beyond what the eye sees, we start feeling consciousness in areas of the body that was never before within the realms of our awareness, and most importantly we start understanding the beauty in the so-called “mundane”. . It teaches us to stop searching for something. Everything we need is already here within us. The vastness of this lesson isn’t something that can simply be verbally expressed, it’s something that has to be experienced. . Experience this magical beautiful practice for yourself. Join me in Ashtanga Basics every Wednesday 7am or 5.30pm in @theyogaco 723 North Bridge Road. .

Really wasn't planning to take any photos today until Daisy the guest instructor came and ordered us to stand on our hands. 👐🏻 #theyogaco #daisytheminipoodle (Instagram: @sassyyogi) (at The Yoga Co.)
