Third Watch is finally streaming all six seasons on tubi. I’ve literally been waiting for this for like 10 years. I’m so freaking excited. My love for Maurice Boscorelli has already returned.

Third Watch have a bunch of interesting and grey characters. All the women of the show are well portrayed and complicated. We can talk a lot about Munroe or even about Cruz but Yokas have her moments as well.

Yokas was always portrayed as an empathic cop who cares about the children's case and have difficulties to balance between her job and her personnal life. All along the show, she embrace more and more her job as a cop.

While described as the good cop especially compared to her partner, Boscorelli, Yokas also have her dark side. There was an episode when her daughter questioned if she already used her gun and killed bad guy. Yokas answered her "three times". It was in season 4. Since then, even if the show didn't explore more her dark side, they still showed how far she could go especially with Cruz she didn't like and when she killed in cold blood Donald Mann after he almost killed Bosco.

I don't say the show has right to portray characters that way or others way especially knowing how is the american police (our isn't better hein). But Third Watch was never scared to explore its characters darkness. All of them had to face this darkness and that without being excused for their actions. There is always an other character to call them out for that like they have to face the consequences of their decisions.

Yokas is a strong female character, just like Cruz and even like Kim. She has her flaws, like being self centered (we have to admit it) but she is able to grow, to show her flaws and to prove her values.

It's something I wish i would see more in shows of our era.

We definitly can talk a lot about ALL the characters of this show! Damn, i bet today they would be hated for being portrayed as actual human being.

I loved this show in 1999 and I still love it!!

Jimmy was my man back in 1999 but seven episodes in to a rewatch and I'm all about Bosco. 💟💟💟
