My husband, Austin Michael Rowsell, disparaging my gender during our marriage ceremony on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
He also stole our marriage license, which I had to report to Magna, Utah PD (USA) as stolen, as well as to the the Salt Lake Marriage and Passports supervisor Allison Dodge and Mountain Vista United Methodist Church pastor Philip M. Rogers.
Austin Michael Rowsell (Ausedia) and his sister Faelisa Ranae Rowsell also tried to force me to violate the falsely-obtained but still legally-enforceable protective order.
I have neither met nor desire to meet Faelisa Rowsell, Haveign Lamb Rowsell, Adelbert Jack Rowsell (the adoptive father that beat my husband/Austin), Hannah Rowsell, or for sure Tristan Galvan, or even Zaiden Adelbert Zayn Rowsell, the four year old now maybe five year old child of Faelisa Ranae Rowsell and Tristan Caleb Galvan, since my husband told me the four year hits him, too. Btw, Zaiden's name is listed on Faelisa Ranae Rowsell's Instagram.
Austin Michael Rowsell falsely accused me of domestic violence on our marriage night, landing me in jail fo five days and with a permanent no-contact order, which will not bode well when applying to NASA'S aeronautics program and optometry school in the future.
This is the second time I've had a romantic partner have a problem with speaking for my gender. It ain't happening this time.
Please see the following links for evidence:
https://www.twitter.com/pnkstarrykisses for police reports and screenshots.
And please report my husband's GoFundMe, as it contains libelous statements regarding my character, in addition to the fact that I simply don't trust my husband to take the leftover funds and donate them but rather use them for diapers and gaming accessories. A small defamation case like this doesn't cost 55 thousand USD for an attorney. You can do these types of cases pro-se, tbh.
Also, apparent Epidemic Sound cancelled their contract with Ausedia long before I informed them of Austin's foolishness.
I also messaged individuals privately via FetLife when Austin aka TotingGames publicly posted a slanderous message in the group "Salt Lake Ageplayers", knowing I disliked the leader, -LittleLolly-, for allowing underaged members in her group. I run/own a group called Utah Young Kinksters and Ageplayers and ID EVERYONE before admitting them to ALL and ANY group activities.
The rest of that shit with Salt Lake Ageplayers was reported to the police.
I'll also be suing Faelisa Ranae Rowsell and Adelbert Jack Rowsell under Utah's "heart balm" (aka "homewrecker laws") as well as Faelisa Ranae Rowsell for witness intimidation and criminal harassment.
If you let a person run their mouth long enough, they'll incriminate themselves.
My husband falsely obtained a protective-order at my personal and my brand's (Peachtree, Rainy Diapers LLC, Strawberry Castle LLC) expense, falsely obtained free-low-cost representation with false domestic violence allegations that landed me in jail on our marriage night with a slew of other bullshit I'm not going to be quiet about.
He even used YouTube's Legal Department to contact me using third-party contact and whined to them via Twitter when they stopped communicating with them. I'm going to sue YOuTube as well for allowing Austin to make false copyright claims on my digital property.
Additionally, Epidemic Sound cancelled their partnership/contract with Ausedia. Either Stephen Setchell is going to tell me why ES did did so voluntarily, or ES will be supoenaed for the reasoning.
If my husband doesn't drop this lawsuit bullshit, I'm going to clean him out and rip the ground from under his feet, leaving to walk on his knees throughout life and eating out of garbage, like he has done me, until he commits suicide. Why is'nt his family giving him money? Even my own fucked up covert-narcissist mother gave me $300 dollars when i was dealing with fake Utah landlord Bernard Evans.
Fool.
Not that i wish that on him, but that's what white people do when they're in trouble. They kill themselves.
All of this because I held him Austin accountable for disparaging my gender twice in one day, one of those times in which you can see here in this video.
Also, you need a court order to remove statements and videos from Tumblr, so this was a calculated post. The next was a personal website.
In the words of Swoop, this isn't drama, this is dangerous.
Austin can drop the falsely-obtained protective order and this "defamation lawsuit" or I'm going to take everything in an annulment and unfortunately, leave my husband eating off the ground.
This is not something I desire to do.
If you are an attorney wish to represent me pro-bono or for a low cost and some publicity, I live in the state of Utah (USA), and can be contacted at [email protected]
I don't expect things for free, but will certainly appreciate the offer.
If Austin's attorney wishes to contact me in regards to dropping 1) divorce proceedings, 2) a stupid defamation lawsuit in which I'm going to sue everybody involved, and 3) pare me of having to speak about very personal matters in court, including my husband's ability to perform and Austin agrees to some things and gets himself some help instead of using the courts to FORCE him into it, then that can be discussed privately between Austin, myself, and a mediator if necessary (*I* will make that call), recorded electronically, Austin knows my legal email address. It will not be listed here, as it contains my real name.
That is all.
This matter will be kept private for Third District Court Presiding Judge Mark Kouris to view, as well the general public.
I have the right to protect my name and myself as well as my family.
I don't why Austin is pretending his family is so important now, when only six month ago, he was looking for a way to run away from them and detach from them forever, he told me himself in both text message and person.

We'll see. i don't believe that either. i also don't believe he isn't fucking his sister and told him so, directly to his face. Trauma bonding is one thing but a grown woman with a four year old and a long-time romantic partner and a married man have no business being so obsessed with one another like unless they're fucking which is NOT uncommon in thee types of situations. I often wonder if Zaiden is my husband's child and not homeboy's. I will be ordering a paternity test in court. It wouldn't surprise me if the test came back positive.)

Alternative Career Essay: Optometry
An optometrist is a healthcare professional who specializes in the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders and diseases of the visual system and eyes. Optometrists' main role is to perform eye exams to test the patient's vision and eye health. Their techniques include measuring visual activity, visual field, and depth perception. They also evaluate the overall health of the eyes, such as the retina, cornea, and optic nerve. Optometrists sometimes prescribe lenses to improve vision or treat conditions, such as astigmatism, nearsightedness, and farsightedness. Additionally, they also provide vision therapy to help patients develop better visual skills and reduce eye strain or symptoms from overuse of computers or any other visual tasks. Another role of optometrists is to diagnose and treat a variety of eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. In fact, they provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery, such as LASIK or cataract surgery, which improves impaired vision permanently. Essentially, optometrists primarily help patients achieve and maintain healthy eyesight and improve their quality of life.
To become an optometrist, you must complete several steps. The first step is to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, oftentimes the degree you earn in undergraduate school is a STEM major. The second step is to complete an optometry program, also known as a Doctor of Optometry (OD) program at an accredited optometry school. Typically, these programs take four years to complete. The third step is to acquire a license to practice in your state or country by passing the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) and completing a certain number of clinical hours. The final step is the train further and possibly specialize in an area, such as pediatric, geriatric, or sports vision. These specializations are completed in a residency program or fellowship in the desired area of specialization.
The salary of an optometrist can vary depending on the experience, location, practice, and specialization. However, the average annual salary for optometrists in the United States was $120,640. The lowest 10 percent of optometrists earned less than $65,860 per year, while the highest 10 percent earned more than $193,860 per year.

Thousands of P.E.I. kids to get free book about the Maritimes’ oldest lung transplant recipient
Atlantic Canada’s oldest lung transplant patient is using his experience to help educate children about pulmonary fibrosis, the disease which nearly cost him his life.
John Dennis had the operation when he was 76-years-old and just turned 78-years-old this week.
Dennis is featured in a new children’s book being widely distributed on Prince Edward Island.
This week wasn’t the first time Dennis has been to the island. He biked the province last summer to raise awareness and money for research into pulmonary fibrosis treatment.
He took in nearly $29,000.
"I was the single-biggest fundraiser in Canada for the third year in a row,” said Dennis. “It's just been really, really, a fabulous journey, and I'm proud of it, and I'm proud of that book."
Author Marlene Bryenton, coordinated the ride for Dennis, and that's how she began to learn about the disease.
She's written several children’s books to help explain complex medical topics to young children, such as optometry, physiotherapy, and dentistry -- but her new one was a bit different.
"At first I resisted, I really resisted, because I thought, 'Do I really know enough about pulmonary fibrosis and organ donation to actually write a children's storybook about it?'” said Bryenton. “But it just kept nagging at me, 'You have to write this book.'"
So Bryenton teamed up with Dennis and John Robinson, both living with pulmonary fibrosis, to write “Magic Gifts.”
Unlike Dennis, Robinson has not received a transplant, he's being treated for the disease with oxygen.
With the help of her sponsors, Bryenton has given the book out for free to thousands of P.E.I. children. Every student in Grades 4, 5 and 6 will get a copy of the book.
"The teachers can actually have a health lesson and use ‘Magic Gifts’ to explain to the children about organ donation and pulmonary fibrosis,” said Bryenton. “To top that all off, the children take the storybooks home, and then the parents read them."
Bryenton adds that it will further raise awareness, and she hopes it will open a dialog about the disease between parents and their kids.
"It's important we get the message out, because if you can identify it soon enough, and start treatment soon enough, you can delay the progression of the disease," said Dennis.
Pulmonary fibrosis currently has no cure.
Dennis plans to bring back a stack of the books when he returns to Nova Scotia, and he hopes schools in his home province will share it as well.

Pre health career: Wednesday 10/19/22
Optometry
This week, I have conducted research about optometrists who are doctors that specialize in caring for the eye. Optometrists are responsible for tasks such as examining, diagnosing, and treating injuries and diseases that relate to the eye as well as other connecting visual systems. With the recent increase in technological advances, optometrists use procedures such as laser treatment to correct vision and perform other treatments. Optometrists can also prescribe contact lenses and glasses for patients. Most optometrists set up their own practice, and the average hours of work per week is around 40 hours. In order to become an optometrist, one must pass the Optometry Admission Test, also known as OAT. Optometry school consists of four years. Typically, during their first and second years, students take basic health science courses such as biochemistry, physiology, and public health while simultaneously gaining clinical experience. Most third year students spend a lot of time gaining hands-on experience in a clinical setting through examining patients. As a fourth year, optometry students participate in external clinical rotations which may take place for about eight to sixteen weeks. After completing the Doctor of Optometry (OD) program, students have to pass the license exam consisting of written portions as well as a clinical test.

Is paramedical good for me?
Let’s see if paramedical is a good career choice for you. Whether a career as a paramedic is good depends on the salary, work schedule, and pension system it provides. All of these factors depend on your state and the agency.
Tumblr media
I also know people who were able to make $60,000 per year as paramedics, but that was in a place where costs were higher and the standard of living was much better. In paramedics, the pay is not bad (about $45,000/year) but the working conditions are miserable. Most paramedics work 12-hour, 12-days-on, and 12-days-off shifts, which is a gruelling schedule for anyone. Placement from a good paramedical institute might reward you a handsome salary.
Worse, for paramedics in some places, it’s almost impossible to find a full-time job. The typical hours worked per week is 56 and the average income from other jobs was $38,000. Most medics have to work a second or third job to make ends meet. The paramedic profession is notorious for causing burnout. It’s often referred to as “The White Coats,” right along with doctors, lawyers, and surgeons. And the stress of the work, especially the stress of the job, is the culprit.
With that in mind, paramedical is a very high-impact occupation and is therefore satisfying. What it means is that there are people in the field of emergency medical care who think they know better than you and me how we should care for ourselves. They have reasons to think that they can tell us what we should eat, what exercise routines are best for keeping us healthy, and even what supplements and vitamins we should be taking.

Today was my first day of optometry school 5 years ago. 🥲 August 21st, 2017
There was a solar eclipse that day. By the end of the week, we were closed for a record breaking hurricane.
January brought a freeze that close us again.
Second year brought academic trials of Competency and White Coat Ceremony and entering patient care for the first time. (Completely normal lmao)
Third year brought a new dean, rapid restructuring, mass leaving of the good professors. Boards studying. A water main broke and cut off all water to half the city. Clinic was cancelled. Then the plague. Shut downs. Boards cancelled 1 day before testing began.
Fourth Year brought Summer zoom class. The Dean and admin lying. I accidentally helped organize the students against them. Re-entering patient care in covid protocol 5 months later. Taking Part 1 and Part 2 four months apart. Returning to school for the first time in 9 months. Giant February freeze that nearly wiped out the entire electrical grid for the state. Breaking into the clinic to practice for Part 3 without running water. Taking Part 3. Graduation.
Then retaking Part 3. Getting a job. Now Plague 2: electric boogaloo Monkey Pox.
This all with 40-50 hours of class each week (until shut down) with assignments and studying. Test week and finals having anywhere from 7-10 exams in each stretch. Boards 1&2 were 8 hour long exams. Going to on-line learning immediately. Graduation ceremony limited to 3 guests each. Making friends and colleagues I can rely on to help answer any weird eye questions.
I got a little off track, but it's been a wild and unpredictable ride.

Why Study BSc Optometry?
India is a developing country with an overabundance of people. The population to optometrist ratio is 1:20,000. This indicates that there is just one optometrist for every two lakh people. In affluent countries such as the United States, the same ratio is 1:10,000. In addition, about two lakh optometrists are needed in India. That suggests you'll have stable and profitable employment in the future. This is why bsc optometry is a great career option.
Furthermore, bsc optometry is an excellent career for those who connect with others and wish to ease their suffering. In addition, every third blind person on the planet is an Indian. Not only blindness, but a variety of other eye abnormalities have become exceedingly widespread in recent years. Myopia, hypermetropia, glaucoma, cataract, and diabetic retinopathy are all examples of eye problems caused by modern living. As a result, you should pursue a BSc Optometry in order to meet our country's demand for optometrists.
Tumblr media
Eligibility for BSc Optometry
The bachelor of optometry is a three-year undergraduate programme. The following are the BSc Optometry eligibility requirements and optometry course details.
A minimum qualification of 10+2 from a science stream or with physics, chemistry, and biology studies is required. The total percentage in 10+2 must be greater than 50%.
The candidate must be 17 years old to be admitted to the BSc Optometry programme.
Scope and Prospects
After completing the BSc Optometry degree, the individual may pursue further studies in order to land a prosperous job in the future. From the aforementioned top institutes, the candidate can study overseas and obtain suitable professions in nations such as the United Kingdom, the United States, New Zealand, and Australia.
Meanwhile, the candidate in India can apply for jobs in both the public and private sectors. After completing optometric studies, one can work as an optometrist, optician, optometry researcher, instructor or lecturer, sales executive, and so forth. The average pay after completing a BSc Optometry programme is INR 2 to 6 lakh per year. The highest-paid employment among the aforementioned is that of an optician and optometry researcher, with an annual salary of INR 5 to 6 lakh.
However, because there are fewer optometrists and the country is overpopulated, the demand for jobs in the market is extremely strong. Students can also become entrepreneurs and open their own optical stores, optical clinics, lens production units, and so forth. Otherwise, they can work as ophthalmologist or optometrist assistants in large and small hospitals. As a result, the possibilities are limitless.
Finally, the people of India are in desperate need of opticians and optometrists. If you believe you have the necessary skill set, including patience, communication, honesty, sympathy, and leadership, you should absolutely give BSc Optometry a shot. Furthermore, at least in India, the job market will never dry up. You can also complete your higher education in the United States or any other European country.

Whumptober- Day 13
Day 13: Adrenaline
Fandom: Thunderbirds Are Go!
Characters: Virgil Tracy, Scott Tracy, Gordon Tracy, John Tracy
Disclaimer: I do not own Thunderbirds or any of the characters. I’m just here trying to make cool stories :)
Previous Part is Day 22- Hallucination
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scott was going to kill him.
He had hurt Virgil.
His little brother. His best friend.
Raped.
While trying to protect Gordon and Scott.
And John now had his identity.
“Daniel Wilder, age 31, Australian, Adelaide to be exact. Graduated from Marryatville High School. Moved to Auckland two years ago to attend AUT, studying medicine, wanting to go into optometry. Was out with a friend the night of… the crime, when the friend left to go home, and Wilder ended up in the same bar as you three. You know what happens from there.”
“Where is he now, John?” Scott damn near growled into his phone with the comm line open solely to John.
“Back in his apartment. Princeton Apartments, Symonds Street. He entered 13 hours ago and hasn’t left again yet. He’s a sitting duck, Scott.”
“F.A.B.”
-+-+-+-
Gordon brushed the sweaty hair off of Virgil’s forehead. He had fallen asleep after another nightmare waking him up. But he hadn’t stirred since this sleep cycle began, and his body seemed to finally be working the drugs out for good.
With a sigh, Gordon fell back into his chair, rubbing a hand over his face. God, why did this happen to them? All they wanted was to help people, to do good in the world. And this was how they were repaid? With violence and violation?
“Gordon?”
Virgil’s voice was soft and tilted up at the end in question. Gordon looked over and met deep brown eyes with only a light glaze acting as a film over them. The drugs were almost gone. Thank God.
“Hey V, how you feeling?”
“Sore. I-I don’t remember what happened. Weren’t we in a club? Or a bar? The Viaduct?”
“Yeah, we were at the Viaduct, Virge,” Gordon prompted softly, scooting his chair closer and taking Virgil’s hand in his. “You remember anything else?”
“You and Scotty… we were having drinks, and there was a guy. And then… pain? I was hurting. I was being hurt? I don’t-I don’t know.” He scrunched his eyes shut again, shaking his head in frustration and confusion. He hated the feeling of drugs clouding his brain. The fog that settled over his mind when he was drugged always irritated him. He could feel he wasn’t thinking at full capacity, but could do nothing to help it.
“How about we wait until Scott gets back, and then we’ll talk you through it, yeah? Try and get some more sleep in the meantime.”
Virgil was nodding along to Gordon’s idea, his eyes relaxing and closing before his head even hit the pillow.
-+-+-+-
Scott approached the back door of the complex. Kayo had taught him a few things about stealth, and sneaking into the back of an apartment complex in the middle of Auckland was one of the easier things he had learned. Though it wasn’t quite as specific of a lesson when he learnt it.
He took the elevator up to the third floor, calmly walking up to the apartment door that the asshole was hiding behind.
The knock of his fist on wood seemed to echo within his own head, a final sort of sound if you will. This guy’s life was about to turn to shit if Scott had his way with it.
“Coming!” came the rough reply, followed by the creaking of a couch as Dan presumably got up to open the door. He opened it to a very tall, pissed off Scott, looking down at the man. Well, metaphorically, at least. Dan was a big guy, at least six foot tall, his accent all but gone after the three years living in New Zealand. He also seemed to pack muscle onto his body, much like the second eldest Tracy, but these muscles were more refined. Showy instead of useful. Barely earned through hard work, but rather, through gym work. These weren’t muscles that saved lives and allowed for Dan to hold a ceiling up. No.
These muscles were only used to hurt people.
They drew them in, then pinned them down.
“And you are?”
“Hi, Daniel. My name is Scott Tracy. I’m here to see you about my brother.”
And he punched him in the nose.
Dan went careening back into his own apartment, tears welling in his eyes and blood running between the fingers that clutched at his face. Scott stepped forward and locked the door behind him. This way, no one would interfere.
His heart started to race in anticipation, filling his own muscles with extra strength and energy in preparation of the punishment he was about to dole out. “You hurt my brother. You raped him. All he’s done is helped people, he’s never hurt anyone. So why hurt him?”
“He deserved it!” Dan spat out, a fire alighting in the steely grey eyes. “He was all over me, he was begging for it. Maybe you should talk to your whore of a brother instead of me!”
Scott’s fist connected with Dan’s cheek this tie, sending him to the floor. “You drugged him! You roofied him! You hurt him! He said no and you continued! There is no reason for rape!” Scott kicked him in the stomach. “There is never justification for that!” Another kick. “You! Are! A! Monster!” Each word was punctuated by a kick to Dan’s midsection.
Scott dragged him to his feet, studying Dan’s bruised face, the blood running from his nose. “You hurt my little brother,” he growled, staring deep into the bastard’s eyes. “You destroyed him. He was protecting us, and you hurt him.”
The asshole smiled, blood staining his teeth, the red standing out against the paleness of his lips. “That was kind of my goal. And I got my rocks off at the same time.”
Scott punched him in the face again. And again. And again. The adrenaline ran through his veins like blood, fueling his rage further, driving his fist into the man’s head over and over until Wilder was on the floor, blood pooling under his head from his missing teeth and shattered nose. Scott kicked him again once for good measure, then aimed one last kick right to the guy’s crotch. He watched as WIlder’s eyes rolled into the back of his head at that.
He took out his phone and took a picture of Wilder on the floor, then sent it to John with a message. “The guy got a fraction of what he deserved. But I need to get back to Virgil.”
He walked out of the apartment, making sure to lock the door behind him as he left.
His brother needed him, and hopefully the asshole got the message. If not, Scott was happy to reiterate.
-+-+-+-
“Has he woken up at all?”
The low voice of his older brother came from the doorway, and Gordon’s head whipped up to meet his eyes. “Yeah, once. He was less delirious, more with it this time. He couldn’t remember much though.”
“That may just be a blessing.”
“Yeah, but he’s still dreaming. A nightmare just ended before you came in. I was about to wake him.”
Scott walked further into the room, taking Virgil’s hand in his and swiping his thumb comfortingly over the clammy skin.
“Did you do it?”
Scott looked over at his younger brother, the carnelian shrouded with shadow and bloodlust. “Yes. He won’t be forgetting what happens when he hurts people for a very ling time.”
“Good.”

MAR ACTIVITY NUMBER- 10 STAY HOME STAY SAFE ❤️ WRITING OF TECHNICAL REVIEW ARTICLE AND PUBLISHING ONLINE.
Things that I learned on my optometry school rotations (that I didn’t learn in school)
The journey from third-year student, to fourth-year intern, to graduated optometrist is full of ups and downs. As much as I learned in school (and it was a lot), there are some things I only experienced once I got into my rotations. Here are a few things I learned along the way.
Tough Diagnoses
There have been a few patient cases that have stuck with me. One patient in particular had a medical history of a life-long systemic disease and that made for a very specific diagnosis and treatment plan which we created for her. Another patient had to be immediately sent to the emergency room; and the other patient was frustrated when I wouldn’t let her see the Optos picture that we took- revealing a textbook CRVO.
When I studied cases and conditions in school, I focused on the numbers, the signs, and the symptoms. If blood pressure is severely elevated, emergency care is needed. When optic nerves are swollen, a referral to neurology is warranted.
All of that studying did not prepare me for seeing those high-risk medical problems in my exam chair. I worked with my staff doctors to get the patients the care they needed, but was definitely relieved that the first time I was in a situation that required a tough conversation, I had somebody to ask for help.
Office Culture
On rotation, I went from being one of many students to being the only student.  I was so nervous about starting my rotation at a new office where I had only met the staff doctors a few times, and had never met the staff at all as compared to being at school where I knew everyone.
Though this seemed daunting at the time, I shouldn’t have worried because after a few days I felt so at home with the office staff and office culture. Being the only student to work alongside the staff doctors helped me better understand everything that optometrists are doing and prescribing. I was also humbled by the technicians, optical staff, and back office as I saw them work together with the doctors to create the best patient care and flow.
Living Alone
My rotation was the first time I had ever lived completely alone. Until that point, I had lived with my family or with roommates. Living alone was a major adjustment, with the end of a long day being the hardest, as there was nobody at home to bother and talk to.
Living alone requires that you go outside of the apartment and office for social interaction, which was definitely a change from optometry school, where I was around people all day.  I joined a gym and made friends with the people there, and I kept in touch with friends and family. Thought, to be honest, I still jump when I hear a bump in the middle of the night.
Preparing for boards
In school, I was surrounded by my classmates and roommates when it came to studying for exams and boards. However, during my fall rotation that was not the case, as Part 2 of boards was in December which was near the end of my fall rotation. I had to use my willpower and motivation to study, which was definitely a challenge after long days of clinic. I kept in touch with friends and followed a study plan the same way I had for Part 1, and am expecting a PASS this spring.
Relying on my instincts
My staff doctors wanted an assessment and plan for each patient when I presented my case, and because of my increased experience they gave me more autonomy than I had at the school.  I saw different types of pathology at my rotation than what I had seen in optometry school, and I had to figure out what all the signs and symptoms meant. Was that really a dot blot heme on the photos, or was it dust on the lens? Is now the time to begin treatment on the patient who was a glaucoma suspect? Are those cataracts ready for surgery referral?
It came down to trusting myself and believing in my findings. If I saw something, it was probably there and up to me to figure out what to do next. It made me more confident in my skills, interpretation, and judgment when it came to making the call for diagnoses.
Preparing for the future
Rotating through a private practice gave me true insight into the business of optometry. While the practice management classes I took were greatly informative and helpful, those classes did not show the true, day to day insights that come with being in an optometry practice. I was able to work with my staff doctors to learn about frame inventory, contact lens sales, vendor relations, lens companies, insurance companies, and front-desk operations. I plan to be part of private practice in my career, and learning the steps involved now gave me a full understanding of all the risks and benefits involved.
Doctor-Level Involvement
What does being involved mean after optometry school? A whole lot, according to the doctors I worked with. Two of the doctors that I worked with were former state presidents and had immeasurable awards between them. During my rotation, I was able to attend the state meeting and get involved in office and community events. One highlight was speaking to a Congressman about optometry legislation at a Kiwanis club meeting. There are ways to be involved after optometry school, no matter what aspect of optometry you are interested in.

I’m currently in my 3rd year of optometry school and this March I will be going to Mexico to provide eyecare for those who are in need. We also have groups going to Honduras and Dominca. We have more students participating than ever before and because of this need to raise more money than in previous years. If you could please help me by sharing this so that more people can see it, or by donating, I would be very appreciative!!!
Thank you so much <3
