So, what's the limit of confrontation to pissmarine for you?

I draw the line at actual violence and threats of violence towards her.

Sometimes peeps get too comfortable showing hatred towards people they deem as assholes (in this case an actual asshole), and we gotta learn what's an okay reaction and what's not.

Prismarine is a dick that deserves to be punched and definitely a smack down here and there. But talking about ripping her apart is a HUGE Nono.

She's still a character- she's still MY character- the threats of violence some of you share are scary to read. If you can't handle interacting at a social standard with her, then please, i implore you to block the tag.

"Oh hey! Armour Trims are in the game now!", or: How I Learned to Stop Waiting and Start Actually Using the Goddamn Snapshots.

Ok so you know how there's a new 1.20 snapshot thing out? Yeah, here's a post showcasing it.

First off, here's how they work;

The slot on the left (which is animated in-game, fading between the outline of a Smithing Template and a Netherite Upgrade) is for inserting... well, Smithing Templates and Netherite Upgrades, the middle-slot (which gains another animated icon when the first slot is filled; the former cycles between different slot-icons, while the latter cycles between various tools and armour-slots) is for tools, weapons and/or armour, and the third slot (cycles through the outlines of various rare materials) is where the nice materials go. The armour-stand on the right displays a preview of your item, but unfortunately doesn't allow you to rotate it.

The materials that can be used as trims are:

Nether Quartz

Amethyst Shards

Netherite Ingots

Copper Ingots

Iron Ingots

Gold Ingots

Diamonds

Redstone Dust

Lapis Lazuli

Emeralds

They can be applied to any armour-type except Leather, for obvious reasons (although I'm guessing you can probably apply trims to Leather using commands).

Anyway, let's look at all those designs!

Sentry

Very generic, but it makes sense since it's the first one listed and it looks kinda like the Trimmed Armour inventory texture.

Dune

Nice design; somehow feels appropriately deserty. The stomach-pattern makes me think of the trap-floor in Desert Temples.

Coast

Ehhh... again, kinda generic, but it probably goes well with other trim designs.

Wild

See above.

Ward

This design made me realise the design on Chiselled Deepslate is meant to be a silhouette of the Warden's head. I like it!

Eye

Haha, eyebrow helmet... the eye-chest is very cool, gotta love character-designs with facial features in the wrong place. Also I'm biased because it has Big Cyclops Energy™.

Vex

Big eyebrows! I also like the more "formal" design down the front.

Tide

If you used Lapis on Diamond for the colours, you could make some pretty-decent Prismarine Armour for a multiplayer server or Adventure map.

Snout

Frogge-eye helmet. Yes.

Rib

Looks bad as a full set, but would make a great accent-pattern for a more distinctive set. Netherite on Iron is basically white-tiger, and the opposite is zebra.

Tower

The trim on the sleeves and boots makes me think of pizza and racing, although it could just be the colours I'm using.

And now, a thing I don't like.

Ok so you know how, when you want to upgrade your Diamond stuff, you put it on a Smithing Table and merge it with a Netherite Ingot? Yeah, not any more. This is how it'll work in 1.20:

See that item in the first slot? That is a Netherite Upgrade. Now, I don't know how how it'll be found, so it could be easy to obtain, but adding another step just kinda overcomplicates it. Not only that, but the process consumes the upgrade, so if it is rare/hard to craft/only findable in chests, it'll be annoying to make a full set of Netherite gear.

But aside from that I'm really excited!

EMPIRES IS A LOT OF FUN!!!! BUCKLE IN FOR A LONG POST LMAO

basically there are 12 ccs who all claimed one biome to build their "empire" that they are the ruler of, and they also each have their own primary export for their kingdom to trade with instead of a common currency like diamonds.

Theres lore that goes on, a lot of alliances, and a scary demon boy that joey graceffa is trying to get with. Characters are as follows, with spoilers to a minimum:

Scott Smajor: elven king of rivendell, in the mountains, export being wool and gold. Was content to Stay Out Of demon shenanigans until he discovered that Oops, Hes The Main Character

Shubble: ruler of the undergrove (mushrooms/cottagecore vibes), who accidentally brought the demon into everyones lands and is now trying to fix things. Export is any and all fungus related materials

Jimmy: the codfather. Has beef with salmon, sausage, and fwhip, because they stole his codfather head and it became a whole big thing. Very fun perspective to watch, export is slime

Katherine: queen of the overgrown, in a flower forest. Working to use Magic Nature Healing Growth to counteract the demons corruption and is also probably part of a weird nature cult. dont worry about it. export is dyes and flowers

Lizzie (ldshadowlady): ocean queen, has an army of axolotls and will kill you if you cross her. Married to joel, and has had Beef with fwhip and joey. Export is prismarine

Joel (smallishbeans): king of mezalea, in the mesa, export is terracotta, concrete, and moss. hasnt done too much lore, hes too busy building his stupidly massive megabase. In his defense, it looks incredible. Canonically married lizzie

Geminitay: wizard of the crystal cliffs, export is amethyst/other magicy things. Part of the wither rose alliance with fwhip, pearl, and sausage (🥺), and theyre against jimmys faction of things. Sort of. shes involved in the lore a lot, and has had a few encounters with the demon

Fwhip: Likes corruption, but not the demon corruption- the REDSTONE corruption. Distinction is important. King shit. One of my fave povs. He exports explosives and rockets, and has done some cool lore stuff

Sausage: incredible builder boy, sacrifices blood sheep for power, and funky with the demon. Watch his pov if you want Cool Other-Side-Of-Things Lore and Cool Builds. His export is iron

Pearlescentmoon: exports sugarcane at the price of completing her elytra challenge. cool farm kingdom, currently growing both a regular beanstalk and a corruption beanstalk just to see what happens. Part of the wither rose alliance, doesnt have too many eps out though :(

Pixlriffs: desert kingdom! Copper export, Does more technical stuff then most of the others, and is keeping track of every single death on the server in his cool monument

Joey Graceffa: king of the Lost Empire, in the jungle, and exports totems. Absolutely Down For Demon Town, and is helping the demon with its goals.

Something else really cool is that everyone has custom textures! So villagers in one kingdom look different then ones in others, and the players have unique looking elytras, pets, and tools! It just adds to the experience a lot :). Id start out with maybe joel or gems perspective and go from there!
